We were passing and stopped here overnight. Did not know town and just picked this Motel. So glad that we did. Some rooms have been updated \ upgraded and we stayed in #18 which had been. It was comfortable, quiet and modern feeling. Bathroom was spacious. A Gull service station is right by... very convenient. We would stay here again if ever passing in the area. If you desire a Roast meal do go to Yummy's, a 5 minute drive away in town.

Highly recommend Stratford Motel & Holiday Park - close to Mount Taranaki, which we were after. The staff were excellent and helpful when we had a late check-in. Checkout was so lovely, and we got lots of tips for the remainder of our stay in the area. The room and facilities were clean, warm, easy to find, priced right, and just what we needed after a long drive. I would stay again and highly recommend it to all looking for a true NZ holiday park.

Great hostel right on the water. Great view from the balcony. Has excellent staff and a great vibe. Rent a bike or scooter from the hostel and check out the boardwalk. Downstairs is a great bar serving excellent food and has the best action on weekends.

On the side of the road, but I didn't feel noisy, the room was big enough, the facilities were complete, the bed was clean and tidy, and there was a parking space outside each room (except on the second floor). However, the bath liquid in the bathroom was gone, and it was a bit noisy to make a party at night.

I enjoyed my stay at D and D. It is very near the CBD in a quite street with good parking on the road. The place has a large lounge, a sun/day room snd a large dining room...all are really tidy and comfortable. The kitchen area is well stocked with everything you need. My bed was very comfortable and my room looked out on the courtyard area. Brett pooked after me really well...bought my bags from my car to my room with a smile as I was on crutches. A vety good place to stay in New Plymouth.
