The location is gorgeous, and the huts face the sunrise! The staff are so helpful and friendly. They helped me organise travel back to the airport at the end of my stay, and they have a really talented surfing instructor on-site. The huts are really clean and well maintained. All I would say is, as it's a hut, you can't be squeamish about things like ants or geckos, and the internet connection in my hut was a bit weak. But overall, I would highly recommend this accommodation. Very good price as well. I loved it there!
Pros: Big rooms, newr town, clean room.
Cons: noisy beside the street, water tank motor near our room which creates noise every hour. Bidet and flash of toilet broken. No generator in case there is brownout.
I had a pleasant stay at IAO Boutique Hotel, thanks to its convenient location in the middle of the city. The road nearby is lined with restaurants, making it easy to explore local food, culture, and even enjoy a festival during my stay. It was a lovely experience overall.
However, my room was located near the reception, and it was quite noisy. I could hear the sounds of people coming and going as well as conversations, which disrupted the otherwise peaceful atmosphere. Despite this, the stay was enjoyable.
In order to ensure the utmost level of relaxation, the guestrooms feature an inviting design and are equipped with all basic necessities, creating a delightful stay experience. To ensure your satisfaction, certain rooms in the hostel come fitted with air conditioning for a more pleasant stay. Throughout the day, engage in the entertaining activities available at Hiraya Surf Hostel.Unwind by the pool at hostel and cherish a leisurely moment.
All the staff were really nice except for that one transgender lady there that sometimes would run events. She doesnât smile or say hi to everyone and would sometimes roll her eyes for no reason at all. But besides that, the place has got to be the best hostel to stay in if youâre looking to socialize and make new friends.

AAnonymous UserYou get what you pay for. If you want a budget accommodation with privacy and don't want to stay with a hostel, this is an option. Okay naman location since it is along Tourism Road. The downside is walang masyadong kainan na malapit kapag lumabas ka kaya need mo magtricycle palagi everytime gusto mo kumain. Kaya they also offer free breakfast kasi wala ka nga naman makakainan sa labas na malapit. 6:40am start ng breakfast nila tas yung babaeng assistant wala man lang urgency na ihanda agad at 7am pa magsisimula magluto. Lol. The worst part is yung pinapatay nila yung breaker ng electricty kapag tanghali (kasi inaassume nila na walang tao sa room) kaya minsan sobrang init kapag nagstay ka sa don. So need mo pa sila tanungin kung brownout ba or pinatay lang nila breaker tas tsaka nila bubuksan ulit. Lol. I suggest wag na kayo magstay dito and mas better kung makahanap kayo ng accom along Town Hall para malapit sa kaninan. Note that they collect a key deposit of 100pesos which wag ka na umasa na mababalik. Since all departure flights sa Siargao ay umaga and tulog pa sila around 5am then yung main house is nakalock so I guess yung 100pesos na kinolect is parang payment na rin sa key duplication so if ever na matapat din kayo sa ganung situation eh wag niyo ng iwan sa room yung susi at itapon niyo nalang.
GGuest UserCozy sort of homely hotel. Unfortunately in need of a bit of renovation, mainly the bathroom, ants and mosquitoes came in to the room. Itâs located a short bike ride from where everything happens which is good. And they have a free water and coffee station. No cleaning of the room for the 5 nights we stayed there but got clean towels when we asked for it.
JjinnnnnsIt was difficult because there was no toilet cover, but it was okay because the generator was turned on at a certain time even though the entire island was out of power.

PPhillipsThe room was very nice. Pool and beach were advertised for the property. The pool as no more than 2x3m. The beach was maybe 1m wide to the shore, then all rocks - really not useable.
Staff was very kind. When we told them the beer was warm they told us it was because the refrigerator wasnât working properly. Many of the food items were out on the menu and we had to wait about 40 minutes for tacos and nachos.
The property itself was ok, but will probably choose somewhere else to stay if I go back to Siargao.

Ssashka_come_with_meThe accommodation is decent. I wouldn't say it's amazing, but it's alright for the price. Hot water is available. The location is good.
I saw in other reviews that the road to the hotel is bad. I want to give my opinion: yes, it's not great, but don't forget where you are! This is an island village. About 70% of the roads here are bad. However, you can easily get to the hotel on a moped. There's a 500 peso deposit.
