4-Star Hotels in Guangdong, China

The location is great, right on the pedestrian street. However, because it was a holiday, getting around by taxi was a nightmare – traffic jams everywhere. On the flip side, the front desk service was absolutely fantastic, definitely worth five stars! 👍👍👍 The toilet in the bathroom, though, was a real pain. It made incredibly loud noises in the middle of the night, so if you're traveling with kids, you might want to reconsider. It seriously disturbs anyone else. At first, they didn't provide a child's toilet seat, and since my child's bottom was too small for the regular seat, the toilet kept auto-flushing, scaring my baby away from using it 😞. Finally, a note about the duvet… it didn't feel particularly clean. My foot got bitten quite badly on the first night.

The service was absolutely amazing! They offered a free airport pick-up and even complimentary shuttle service to the subway station. Communication was super efficient, all done through WeChat. Plus, they gave us a thoughtful little gift. So considerate!

The location is fantastic, right by Qijiang Bridge, making it super convenient to walk to all the main attractions downtown. There are plenty of great food options nearby too. The hotel opened in 2024, so the facilities are well-maintained and still feel quite new. Atour's quality definitely shines through; it was a very comfortable stay. The cleanliness was good, and the shower had great water pressure. A small, pleasant surprise was when I went to do laundry in the morning and forgot to pick it up – when I opened my door later to leave, I found it had already been brought up and hung on the door. Excellent service! Highly recommend for both leisure and business trips to Zhongshan.

The entire place was spotlessly clean and fresh, with stylish and tasteful soft furnishings. The modern amenities were a real plus, especially the smart toilet which was an amazing experience. The hot water in the bathroom was quick to heat up and the shower stream was gentle. The air conditioning was also very effective, which was great for staying cool in the summer heat. It really made for a more refined and hassle-free stay. The hotel looked very clean and new, with no strange odors. Overall, it was a very comfortable living experience.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Gionee Light Beijing Road Hotel. Our hotel receptionist Joy provided wonderful customer service and we really appreciated all her dining recommendations and personalised service. Hotel is in an excellent location - super close to all shopping and restaurants. In-house gym and laundry were also wonderful, and our rooms were very comfortable and clean overall, and spacious enough for our family. Highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The receptionist(who doesn't have a name tag) who checked us in was horrible. She had a terrible personality, tonality and facial expression when we arrived. We were initially pretty disappointed with this hotel as we've paid for much cheaper options and got much better services and facilities. But during our checkout, the process was smooth and a staff called ”Hua Hua” (phonetically) was friendly and extremely helpful despite it being a checkout(no longer a potential business client for that session). We'd love to stay here again but would avoid the staff who served us initially.

I've stayed here a few times and it's always great! The location is super convenient, really close to the subway and electronic shopping districts, making it so easy to get around and go shopping. Sundy's service was also excellent, and the lobby even had a check-in activity where they gave out gifts! The rooms are clean and comfortable too. It's a solid choice for both business travelers and families, definitely a five-star review from me!

I. Good aspects: 1. The bed in the room is good, relatively clean and tidy, 2. Take the initiative to serve, send two breakfast coupons worthy of praise. 3. Shampoo shower gel conditioner is brand new. 2. In the middle of the rules: 1. Breakfast has pig intestine powder, bag, noodles, orange juice, milk, bobo intestine, soy milk, fried dough sticks, oranges, hot water, can eat enough, whether it is worth 38 yuan to see the wisdom. 2. Parking is convenient, the first floor may not be seated, but there are many positions on the first floor, but it takes a long time to get on the elevator. 3. Sea view, can be facing the sea, but there are two buildings in front of half of the view; 4. Parking is a fee, go out to check out first and take a screenshot to the front desk, refund through WeChat; Particularly dissatisfied 1. Public facilities are not convenient: the whole house is on the 28th floor, there are two small elevators, many people go up and down the stairs during holidays 15-20 minutes, many times the waiter is cleaning, and you have to ”grab” the elevator with the customer; 2. Residual room facilities: the shower head is about to fall off, and the water pipe is rotten; 3. Room hygiene is worrying: the toilet is not washed, a bunch of dirty things, the door lock is rotten and rusty, the quality of disposable toothbrushes is worrying, and it is easy to brush blood. 4. The service can't keep up: the toilet is very dirty, the last guest's pile of shit has not been cleaned, let no one wash the toilet, let the toothbrush be provided, and let people send it over, but never sent it. 5. Restaurant customers eat, clean more perfunctory, sitting and stool a lot of oil, no cockroaches, no way to sit 6. There is no landline phone in the room. I think the hotel has found a few calls from Trip.com and no one answered them.

I stayed at this hotel based on a relative's recommendation. It has an underground parking lot and is located right across from the ancient city, with plenty of shared electric bikes downstairs, making getting around very convenient. The staff were all very friendly. Areas for improvement: 1. My room was located along a hallway, and I was woken up by the noise of tour groups passing by. 2. The room has a tea-making area (Figure 5). I was leisurely eating takeout in my room and thought about going for a stroll. When I walked to the stairs behind my room, I found that even with the window screen, I could clearly see into my room. I hope they can improve privacy. 3. There were a lot of mosquitoes! I barely slept the whole night. Although an electric mosquito repellent was provided, it wasn't very effective. 4. The hotel doesn't have robots, which is a bit inconvenient for those who frequently order takeout. Things to praise: 1. The hotel's location is indeed very convenient; everything is quite close by. 2. The staff were very friendly and polite from check-in to check-out. Even without delivery robots, the front desk was willing to help bring takeout up to the room. 3. The toilet and shower are separate (wet and dry areas), and the vanity is also separate, which is something I rarely experience in other hotels.

Initially, I was a bit worried because I read online reviews saying it was noisy, but after checking in, I found it to be perfectly acceptable. The environment is clean and thoughtful, and the front desk service was excellent; they even gave us complimentary fruit. The bathroom was spotless and well-equipped with thoughtful touches. Plus, there are plenty of great food options within 300 meters downstairs. It's just a few minutes' walk from Zhuhai Station, making it super convenient for getting to the Macau border and well-connected to everything.
