If you're going to see it anyway, it's worth paying about 1000 yen more for a VIP seat where you can see it up close. I bought a ticket for rows 1-3 and got a seat near the center of the first row. Being close makes it more impactful, and you can see the cast's expressions in detail. Also, there were a lot of seats with "Trip.com" written on them near the front, so I think you have a better chance of getting a good seat if you book through Trip.com than through other tour companies.
