And very friendly and welcoming receptionist (I don’t know his name but he was great and checked me in quickly as I arrived quite late) helped me get my shuttle to the airport and get breakfast on time! Really appreciate. Room was nice. Only issue was the shower very powerful and hot but was flooding and entered the room small and wasn’t sure how to prevent that"

"This was such an amazing find! From the friendliness of the staff, to cleanliness of the rooms and the brilliant location - most things were in walking distance and it's close to a metro line. I was here from 29th Dec '24 - 3rd Jan '25. I was initially really sceptical about staying in a hostel... However, to my complete surprise, it was the best decision ever. The staff really made us all feel at home! The bathrooms are cleaned daily. If you want to use a towel, they are available for rent. The beds and drawers are both lockable, and the room I stayed in was a 3 bed female room, which was also locked. On New Years Eve, we were all invited to join in for a special meal. For a low cost, we were served a 3 course home cooked meal! It was absolutely delicious! The diverse group around the table were amazing. We all shared our travel stories and then went off to watch the fireworks at midnight at the colosseum (which is only a 20min walk away). Everyone was super friendly, and I would absolutely recommend Free Hostels Roma to anyone travelling through or alone. What a great way to meet like-minded people!"

"Great value for money! The hotel is very clean overall, and the bathroom is bright, spacious, and clean, they even have shower cap. The receptionist was incredibly kind and helpful. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of options—definitely better than what I’ve experienced at other 2–3 star hotels in Europe. The location is also super convenient—just a 1-minute walk from the station and very central. It's only 2–3 stops from Termini, and I felt very safe in the area. I highly recommend staying near a station in Rome, as the bus system can be limited with long waiting times. Overall, it's a very nice hotel! I’ll definitely stay here again when I return to Rome and will recommend it to others as well."

"We had been staying here 30 years ago for our honeymoon and came again to celebrate our 30th Wedding anniversary here again. The hotel has its long history and being well decorated. We had a very good time staying here and we look forward to having my 40th anniversary here again. The train station is just around the corner. We can go to most of the attractions on foot in 15 to 30 minutes."

"Very close to Termini and an easy walk. Very well lit with simple walkways and adequate for accessibility. The room was clean, with information cards, towels, robes and a simple safe for valuables. There is breakfast available in the dining hall and luggage storage should you chose to walk about Rome before or after your stay. GOD FORBID, you need to use a bathroom on the ground level, however. My stay was perfectly fine until I needed to toilet before our departure. When I asked if there was another bathroom for use, I was told that I could use the train station bathroom (€1,50) I must have just been another traveler off the street to the staff looking for a sneaky free toilet use standing there with my luggage. After the staff recognized the mistake they wanted to usher me to another bathroom. I opted to pay the €1,50 than to be insulted further. “Good luck in Europe” is the hospitality you can expect in Rome."

Fiumicino Airport is located 30km southwest of central Rome, Fiumicino is Rome’s main international gateway. You can reach the city center easily via the Leonardo Express train (32 mins to Termini Station) or regional FL1 trains to other hubs.
