"The service from Manager Liu and Xiao Liu was very thoughtful. Being Chinese, communication was very easy. They provided complimentary clear umbrellas and trash bags, which was a nice touch. The room was quite spacious; we could open two suitcases. The cleanliness could be improved, though. The provided cutlery, cookware, and cutting board weren't clean; there were oily residues from previous cooking. There were also hairs on the bathroom wall. I'd suggest they replace the hairdryer with one that has a stronger airflow. The bathroom's heater/dryer unit had a drying function with a hanging rod, which was excellent – clothes dried overnight. The kitchen's range hood was very powerful; there was no smoky smell when we grilled. The location is great. It's just one subway stop to Shijo, which is more convenient than my previous stay in Karasuma. There's also a Life supermarket two bus stops away, and plenty of dining options downstairs."

"We checked in just as there was a celebration right outside the hotel, so the location was really lively! For the first two days, the heating system was broken, and the room never warmed up. We kept waking up from the cold. After we reported it to the hotel, they immediately handled it and moved us to a different room, which was much warmer. The hotel staff's attitude was great in resolving the issue. It's close to attractions, and the bathroom has a large tub. Highly recommend!"

"Nice, calm and compact hotel situated in a neighborhood (no traffic sounds). Very comfortable beds 🛌, I had a great sleep. Friendly staff. Unfortunately the hotel doesn’t offer anything except of the most basic necessities (amenities), but for sleeping over it is good enough. Walkable distance to the imperial palace park, walkable to the centre, very good location. The room(s) could use deeper cleaning of the dust in the rooms (see pictures)."

"Location is a solid 15min walk from kyoto station. Receptionist was cold when first arrived. Not much help was provided. Public facilities include microwave, oven and some utensils. free washing machine with detergent. Room was spacious for 2 easily."

"The location is great, really close to all the main attractions. It took about half an hour to walk to Kyoto Station, and also around half an hour to Kiyomizu-dera Temple. Kyoto definitely involves a lot of walking, as the buses are often crowded and slow, but that's just how it is. In the evenings, the area around the hotel might be a bit quiet, but there's a FamilyMart convenience store nearby."

After checkout, the hotel kindly permitted luggage storage, providing valuable flexibility for our final day itinerary. "The room is well-equipped, clean, and hygienic. There's no room service, and you have to self-check-in (if you're bothered by this or think you can't manage it, don't book). The surrounding environment is quite nice, located in a quiet alley. The location is excellent, 500m from Keihan Main Line Sanjo Station and 700m from Hankyu Kawaramachi Station. It's very convenient to walk to Yasaka Shrine, Kamo River, and Shijo shopping street. Walking to Kiyomizu-dera and Ninenzaka is also not too far. There are many restaurants nearby, and overall, they feel more 'authentic' than those on Shijo shopping street."

"Great location with lots of attractions nearby. The hotel rooms are incredibly spacious, which is a rare find in Kyoto. The front desk staff were very friendly, and the kitchen was fully equipped. Plus, they offer complimentary drinks and alcoholic beverages – that's a huge bonus!"

"Convenient to take a bus to other attractions. The air conditioning in the bathroom is very strong. Clothes dry quickly. But the sound insulation needs to be improved."
