"The check-in instructions posted were clear and professionally done. The room itself was clean and tidy, and there was a separate space for upstairs and downstairs. The hotel lobby has a public coffee machine and microwave available for use. The room was well-equipped, though it lacked a washing machine. For laundry, there's a public laundromat about 200 meters across the street."

"The DoubleTree by Hilton was a convenient choice, located right near Kyoto Station, which made getting around super easy. With older kids, it's tough to find triple rooms, so that was a factor in our decision. The facilities were pretty standard, nothing spectacular, but the soundproofing was good – it was quiet at night. We stayed for five nights, and while the breakfast was okay, there weren't many options that really suited Chinese tastes. In hindsight, booking a room without breakfast might have been more cost-effective."

"The location is good, and the room is decorated in a retro style. However, the room had a strong damp smell when I first checked in. There were many buttons for the shower, which made it a bit difficult to use; the water kept turning off, and I had to press them again – maybe I just didn't know how to use them properly… Also, on my first night, I left a vacuum-sealed comforter on the wardrobe (which I hadn't touched), and it suddenly fell off during the night, giving me a fright. The breakfast was quite nice. Overall, it was pretty good."

"The room is quite big and the structure is OK, but the tatami in the master bedroom is too shabby and old. The quality of the quilt and pillow in the room is very poor. The kitchen facilities are also a little old and not easy to use. There is no washing machine, which is a big problem for an apartment suite. The service at the front desk is very average. You have to carry the garbage down by yourself every day, which is very inconvenient. The hotel is in a residential alley, and it is not convenient to take a taxi. Fortunately, it is not far from Takashimaya."

"The hotel is right by the river, a one-minute walk to the riverside trail. The service is super good, enthusiastic, proactive and very trustworthy. The 2nd to 5th floors are guest rooms, with 2-3 rooms on each floor. You can replenish the free two bottles of beer, two bottles of 8% alcoholic beverages, two bottles of sparkling water, two bottles of matcha drinks, and four bottles of mineral water every day.
