WWYLIN00It’s an all-female capsule accommodation, which feels very safe as key card access is required to enter. The space is clean, tidy, and comfortable. There is also a laundry room available, and toiletries as well as basic skincare products are provided. Despite sharing the space, it’s very quiet and guests are considerate, so there’s no disturbance while sleeping. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience.

AAnonymous UserThe hostel is really close to Kyoto Station, about a five-minute walk, and there are supermarkets, malls, and plenty of restaurants nearby. They have check-in guides in Chinese, the entire hostel feels quite new, it's clean and tidy, and there's an elevator. The common area even has a Nintendo Switch. Plus, you can store your luggage for free after check-out.

AAnonymous UserHaving stayed in Arashiyama already for 1 day at another nearby hotel, I hadn’t anticipated liking the area so much. I located Mulan Hotel and stayed in the dorm bed for 2 nights. Being the only guest there, the beds and common areas (such as bathrooms, kitchen etc) were clean. They had access to a washing machine and dryer which was appreciated after 2 weeks of travel. Presented with a discount coupon for the neighbourhood onsen, 2 minutes walk from the hotel is a must! They also have bikes for hire, which made exploring the local area and neighbourhood really enjoyable. Price is great for those on a budget. The bus stop to return to Kyoto Station is 80m from the front entrance. Be mindful its 15-20 minute walk to the major sites and main restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended and I look forward to my visit there again soon!

GGuest UserExtremely clean, both the beds and the bathroom areas were spotless. The facilities are new. It's an all-female dormitory, so it's relatively quiet; no one comes and goes late at night. The environment is very elegant, and there's a reading area and a pantry on the second floor, perfect for sitting down with a book and a coffee. The price is absolutely perfect. It's about a six to seven-minute walk from the subway.

GGuest UserKyoto was the main stop on this trip, so I had high expectations for this hotel in Omiya. It's about a 10-minute walk from Kyoto's most prosperous Shijo shopping street, which isn't too close, but still very convenient. There are bus stops and subway stations nearby, so getting around is still very convenient. However, if you want to avoid walking, it's best to book a room in Shijo. There's free housekeeping once every three nights, but we didn't tell the front desk before 8 p.m. one night in advance, so we didn't use it. The toothbrush was very difficult to use, much worse than the hotel in Nagoya.

VVeldaThis time I chose an apartment-style hotel, which is about a 1-minute walk from Exit 3 of Marutamachi Station on the Karasuma Line and a 2-3-minute walk from the Kinkakuji/Kiyomizu-dera bus stop. It is very convenient to reach various attractions. There are FamilyMart, 7-11, McDonald's, and supermarkets nearby. The room is spacious 👍, with kitchen utensils, oven, microwave, washer and dryer, electronic scale...all available. There is a large table in the room, which is a place where our family of five can go home every day to have late night snacks without being crowded. The teenagers enjoyed their stay very much and will choose this place again next time they visit Kyoto👍.

AAwakened Free SoulReasonable priced hostel during new year eve next to kimono temple. Cleanliness in toilet, bathroom and basin area is acceptable but can be improved. My bed is upper bed and the space is way too narrow to get up there( see photo attached) I saw the lower bed were not fully occupied, it could have arranged another bed actually. The bed cubicle is open on top so you can see the next adjacent bed, there’s a pipe on top on the bed. 4 floors sharing shower rooms located at 2nd floor, kitchen and common area are quite cramped with baggage storage, used towels etc. Alright for a night stay.

ЮЮлия ШведченкоA cozy renovated house in the center of Kyoto, located in a quiet neighborhood with old streets and temples. The room was quite large and spacious, featuring a table, a mirror, a sofa, and excellent, comfortable futons. We slept so well, and the room quickly warmed up with the air conditioner. For convenience, there's a shared toilet on the same floor as the room, serving two rooms. The rooms are on the second floor, while the first floor has a bathroom with a tub and a kitchen where you can not only heat food but even cook, as it has everything you need: a stove, cutlery, dishes, and a large refrigerator. The stairs to the second floor are quite steep, but that didn't bother us since we only had backpacks.
