GGuest UserLiterally the best hotel I have ever stayed in! I have traveled around the world and this was the cleanest place I have ever stayed, I was shocked at how well organized and clean it was! The bathrooms were shared but spotless. The staff were also very nice! I could not have had a better experience, I will definitely come back here if I come back to Kyoto.

MM8337****This hostel provides free bath and face towels, which was super convenient and comfortable for my three-day stay. Everything was great; the showers had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, and the toilet in the bathroom was clean and even heated. The smoking area is outdoors. When I came back in the evening, there were even guests playing Contra in the lobby. It was a very pleasant stay.

AAnonymous UserHaving stayed in Arashiyama already for 1 day at another nearby hotel, I hadn’t anticipated liking the area so much. I located Mulan Hotel and stayed in the dorm bed for 2 nights. Being the only guest there, the beds and common areas (such as bathrooms, kitchen etc) were clean. They had access to a washing machine and dryer which was appreciated after 2 weeks of travel. Presented with a discount coupon for the neighbourhood onsen, 2 minutes walk from the hotel is a must! They also have bikes for hire, which made exploring the local area and neighbourhood really enjoyable. Price is great for those on a budget. The bus stop to return to Kyoto Station is 80m from the front entrance. Be mindful its 15-20 minute walk to the major sites and main restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended and I look forward to my visit there again soon!

There are some unusual things like closing the place from 12 to 17 and extra charges for luggage keeping, but it's ok for travelers, not for remote workers. Owner keeps everything perfectly clean. He cooks amazing sandwiches for breakfast. They are enough for people who don't like to eat much for breakfast. The place located in a living area with same small private houses nearby. No noise after 9pm. It's a renovated Japanese house. Great choise for those who want to live in Japanese house.

GGuest UserFab capsule hotel! The only thing that I would change is how loud the blinds are but that was only a minor issue. The bathroom even had two rooms that were fully equipped with baths! I’ve never seen that in a hostel before. Great location, everything was spotless, the staff were lovely, overall 10/10. Thank you!

VVeldaThis time I chose an apartment-style hotel, which is about a 1-minute walk from Exit 3 of Marutamachi Station on the Karasuma Line and a 2-3-minute walk from the Kinkakuji/Kiyomizu-dera bus stop. It is very convenient to reach various attractions. There are FamilyMart, 7-11, McDonald's, and supermarkets nearby. The room is spacious 👍, with kitchen utensils, oven, microwave, washer and dryer, electronic scale...all available. There is a large table in the room, which is a place where our family of five can go home every day to have late night snacks without being crowded. The teenagers enjoyed their stay very much and will choose this place again next time they visit Kyoto👍.

ЮЮлия ШведченкоA cozy renovated house in the center of Kyoto, located in a quiet neighborhood with old streets and temples. The room was quite large and spacious, featuring a table, a mirror, a sofa, and excellent, comfortable futons. We slept so well, and the room quickly warmed up with the air conditioner. For convenience, there's a shared toilet on the same floor as the room, serving two rooms. The rooms are on the second floor, while the first floor has a bathroom with a tub and a kitchen where you can not only heat food but even cook, as it has everything you need: a stove, cutlery, dishes, and a large refrigerator. The stairs to the second floor are quite steep, but that didn't bother us since we only had backpacks.
