Kyoto Hotels with Kitchens

"Clean, spacious, professional. Really liked my experience there . Loved the bed, convenient. You can use it like a sofa and as a bed . Loved the mirror in my « room ». So grateful. Well located too. Points to work on : put the towels and slippers on each floors. Toilet and shower doors too heavy, need some oil lol. Would put a tablette on the side of the bed for phone, charger, etc. Nothing more honestly !"

"The service attitude at the hotel was somewhat poor, and the check-in time was not very accommodating. Even when I arrived about 30 minutes early, I was told that no rooms were available, although the hotel did not appear to be fully occupied. Housekeeping did not change the bed sheets during my stay, which was disappointing. On the positive side, the hotel is conveniently located near the train station, making transportation easy."

"Stayed here with my partner and really enjoyed it. It’s about a 10–12 minute walk from Kyoto Station, and roughly 10 minutes to Pontocho and the main central area. Most major temples are only a 10–15 minute Uber ride away, so getting around was easy. If you want to stay right in the absolute middle of everything, you might prefer somewhere more central. But for us, staying slightly local was perfect. We liked walking around the neighbourhood and getting a feel for everyday Kyoto. The hotel is clean, modern, and feels quite new. No real complaints at all. We’d happily stay again."

"The location is great, really close to all the main attractions. It took about half an hour to walk to Kyoto Station, and also around half an hour to Kiyomizu-dera Temple. Kyoto definitely involves a lot of walking, as the buses are often crowded and slow, but that's just how it is. In the evenings, the area around the hotel might be a bit quiet, but there's a FamilyMart convenience store nearby."

"The service from Manager Liu and Xiao Liu was very thoughtful. Being Chinese, communication was very easy. They provided complimentary clear umbrellas and trash bags, which was a nice touch. The room was quite spacious; we could open two suitcases. The cleanliness could be improved, though. The provided cutlery, cookware, and cutting board weren't clean; there were oily residues from previous cooking. There were also hairs on the bathroom wall. I'd suggest they replace the hairdryer with one that has a stronger airflow. The bathroom's heater/dryer unit had a drying function with a hanging rod, which was excellent – clothes dried overnight. The kitchen's range hood was very powerful; there was no smoky smell when we grilled. The location is great. It's just one subway stop to Shijo, which is more convenient than my previous stay in Karasuma. There's also a Life supermarket two bus stops away, and plenty of dining options downstairs."

"Authentic experience, just what we were looking for! The place was traditional and felt real. Toilets were good, as were the showers, all amenities were fine. I was a little apprehensive about the self check in but it was really easy and straight forwards. Japanese rice porridge was included and a nice touch. Overall, the stay was perfect, exactly what we wanted."

"The overall cleanliness and room condition of the hotel were good and generally satisfactory. However, I would like to point out a serious issue with the bathroom floor. It was fine when using only water, but once shower gel or shampoo was used, the foam made the floor extremely slippery, creating a clear safety hazard. I unfortunately slipped and fell during my stay, which was quite painful and left visible bruises and swelling on my arms and legs. This was very disappointing. I hope the hotel can take this issue seriously and improve safety measures, such as adding anti-slip solutions, to prevent similar incidents in the future."

"The room is very beautiful and more spacious than most hotels, with great value for the price. I like how they furnished it in light tones, which makes the room feel brighter. Moreover, the view is amazing 👍 - you can wake up and see Kyoto Tower directly from your window. Note: This is a self-service hotel. Amenities such as cotton buds, slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste sets, etc., are provided on the 1st floor."

"This hotel is just a short walk from Karasuma Oike subway station, and about a 10-15 minute walk (roughly one kilometer) to Shijo Kawaramachi for shopping. Yet, the hotel itself is located on a quiet side street off a main road, offering a peaceful environment amidst the bustle. The soundproofing is excellent, making it perfect for light sleepers who need quiet. While the rooms are small, like many in Japan, the layout is well-designed; you can easily open two large suitcases. There's a 7-Eleven and a 24-hour Fresco supermarket just steps from the hotel, which is a huge plus. The front desk service was fantastic and super friendly, and communication in English was incredibly smooth. I needed to change a restaurant reservation, but the restaurant only spoke Japanese, making it difficult to communicate. The front desk staff were very patient and efficiently helped me sort it out—much appreciated!. The lobby offers complimentary coffee and tea, along with a co-working area. Overall, it's great value for money and a very comfortable stay. Highly recommended!"

"A decent hostel with an excellent location near Gion in NE Kyoto, and very near to a station with direct trains to Osaka. The room was OK in size but very bare, only a double bed and tiny shelves for nightstands. It was a shame as you could easily fit a table/ chairs/ small wardrobe in here which would make it much easier for storing things instead of on the floor! Shared bathroom was OK, and only one shared shower for our floor, thankfully it was always free when we needed it. It was quite expensive for what it was so slightly disappointing, but I guess Kytoto is now a very expensive city to stay in."
