Great
GGuest UserI stayed in courtyard by Marriot, Baxter place for 6 days, as a solo senior female traveler and I highly recommend this hotel. Staff were all friendly, patient , attentive and courteous. They answered all questions with a smile , advising & assisting in whatever way they could. Counter is manned 24h. Room was clean & spacious, very comfortable bed and pillows, a large work table with plugs nearby and comfortable chair, walk in shower with easily adjustable water temperature. (A small recommendation would be to pad the table legs as can be quite painful if you accidentally kicked it.) Housekeeping was consistent and unobtrusive. Staff oriented me on how to adjust room heating and cooling when asked. There are 2 lifts and a ramp at entrance for those worried about dragging their luggages.  Although I didn’t patronize but knowing there was an  in-house restaurant and room service was reassuring for those wet cold or tired days when you don’t feel like venturing out. There’s also a small market for essentials. Ice cubes & a microwave is also available.  Technical support came quickly when I wasn’t sure regarding door lock system. Location is excellent, within 5 min walk of Picardy tram line stop which is a  cheap and convenient means to & from Edinburgh Airport.  Hotel is about 10-15 min walk to Princess street with many restaurants within 3-5 min walk. The playhouse theater is just next door. I am so happy to have chosen your hotel-Thank you for your services and support. Special shoutout to Zheni and Yura.

GGuest UserIt was my first time staying in a university dorm as a tourist. It reminded me of my student days. The reception staff who handled our check-in were very friendly and most helpful. At the reception, we learnt about the self-service laundry, breakfast, convenient shop, bar and lounge etc. The room was of a decent size. In fact larger than some hotels. The ensuite toilet and shower were small but adequate. WiFi was strong enough. Good that there was a lift. Tourists like us do carry quite heavy baggage.. Although the room faces the open space where students gathered, the noise did not pose any issue at all. It did not go on late into the night. There were a few lounges. A pantry. A games room. Breakfast was really very good. The restaurant was huge. The buffet was well organised. Food was freshly cooked. Eggs, sausages, haggis, cereals, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, all kinds of bread, etc. The atmosphere was incredible. Just like any campus full of youthful energy. The campus was beautiful just at the foot of Arthur's Seat. And bus transport to the city centre is readily available. It is actually not far to walk.

GGuest UserThis hotel was in a great location. 5 minutes walk from the shopping mall. 2 minutes walk from the tram stop and only 10 minutes walk to some of the main attractions in Edinburgh. The staff at the desk were extremely polite and helpful and even looked after our bags when we checked out so we could go and see another sight in Edinburgh before leaving. The only downside is due to this being an old building there was no elevator available which didn’t affect us but would be an issue for elderly or disabled people.

GGuest UserI recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh Leith Waterfront and had a very pleasant experience. The hotel is clean, modern, and well-maintained, offering exactly what you’d expect—comfortable rooms and great value for money. The location is a good. Being right beside the waterfront gives the area a relaxed feel and public transport links into the city centre are convenient, making it easy to explore Edinburgh without being right in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Our room was clean and spacious, with a comfortable bed and a good shower. The breakfast was a nice touch—simple but satisfying, with plenty of hot and cold options to start the day. Staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. Check-in and check-out were both quick and efficient. Overall, Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh Leith Waterfront is a great choice if you’re looking for an affordable, comfortable stay with easy access to both Leith and central Edinburgh. I’d happily stay again.

GGuest UserWe recently stayed at Novotel Edinburgh for our first wedding anniversary, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so special, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The room was spacious, modern, and impeccably clean, with a stunning view of the city. The hotel even surprised us with a lovely anniversary treat, which was such a thoughtful touch. The breakfast buffet was excellent, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious options. The location was ideal—close to all the main attractions, yet peaceful enough for a relaxing stay. We also enjoyed the hotel’s facilities, especially the pool and bar area, which added to the overall luxury of our trip. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate our anniversary. Thank you, Novotel Edinburgh, for making our special occasion truly memorable. We’ll definitely be back!

GGuest UserA Great Stay with Excellent Amenities Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5 stars) Title: Clean, Comfortable, and Convenient I had a wonderful stay at the Holiday Inn Edinburgh. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making the check-in process smooth and welcoming. The room was exactly what I needed—spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The bed was a dream to sleep in after a long day of sightseeing, and I really appreciated the in-room amenities like the tea and coffee facilities. The bathroom was also spotless and well-maintained. One of the major highlights for me was the hotel's location. It was perfect for my needs, being a short drive from the city center and conveniently close to local attractions like the Edinburgh Zoo. The availability of free on-site parking was a huge bonus and made traveling by car stress-free. I also had a great experience using the hotel's facilities. The indoor pool and fitness center were both clean and well-equipped, providing a relaxing way to unwind. The breakfast offered a good variety of hot and cold options, and the quality of the food was excellent. While my overall experience was fantastic, there was a minor issue with the Wi-Fi in the room, which was a bit slow at times. However, this was a small inconvenience and didn't significantly impact my stay. All in all, the Holiday Inn Edinburgh is a fantastic choice for anyone visiting the city. Its combination of comfortable rooms, excellent amenities, and friendly staff makes it a great value for money. I would happily stay here again and would highly recommend it to friends and family.

GGuest UserA last minute booking as my flight was delayed and couldn’t make connecting train, everything was fine, bottom bunk a little short on headroom but fine for sleeping, everything clean but energy saving toilets often didn’t flush but thats just down to water power, Perfect location could’ve better placed with its own bar and 5 mins walk to train station and city centre

GGuest UserHostel is super cheap and about 15 mins walk to Princes Street, so quite central. My room was ensuite, and the shower was moder, with great pressure. I have stayed here multiple times and some rooms, especially the non-ensuite rooms, have problems with clogged drains, this room didn't! I wish there was a kitchen like some other hostels to make our meals.
