"A clean and trendy hotel located at Upper Queen Street. The hotel has a gym, massage and an Italian restaurant downstairs. Staff were friendly. Convenience stores, bars and late night restaurants on Karangahape Road were around the corner. The core CBD was only an approximately 15-20 mins walk. Recommend!"

"This was our first stay at Ascotia Off Queens and I have to say that the staff were very accommodating during or two nights there. (A little side note; the deposit is $250.00 and not the stated $100.00 on the Trip website. I paid cash for the deposit and received it back on checkout without any issues). They have a nice little dining space on the ground floor opposite reception which caters for al a carte or buffet depending on your choice and it's very responsibly priced. The parking spaces are limited so best to reserve early and as for the parking spaces themselves? We had no issues with parking but it can be a tight squeeze if you have a larger vehicle, still doable though. The bedroom we were in was tidy and small, but comfortable. Shower amenities were good with complimentary body wash, shampoo & body lotion provided. The bed we found to be clean and comfortable so no complaints there. The only issue we had was not enough room to store our bags and the bin in our room was tiny. Apart from that Ascotia off Queens was a great place to stay. Thank you to the wonderful staff for the great service."

"As per October 2024 Pros ＞ Well appointed hotel ＞ Clean and fresh bed sheets and towels ＞ Short but slighly hilly walking distance to SkyTower ＞ Short walk behind Sky Tower Busses to and from Airport ＞ Short walk to Queen Street ＞ Attentive and helpful desk staff ＞ Attentive helpful house keeping staff when asked for help ＞ Can leave you luggage behind reception after check-out ＞ Buffet breakfast availibility Cons ＞ Tiny, unclean and untidy gym and you need to request another swipe card for access. ＞ Breakfast variety more to the eggy-meaty-oily fried side but no vegan option could at least have some fresh fruits. Fruit option is canned ones ＞ No house keeping while in the room untill you leave ＞ Some douf douf music can be heard till late night ＞ Safe box not functioning in the allocated room ＞ Mini fridge temperarure could not be adjusted. It froze all my items. Reception staff kindly allowed my items to be put at reception fridge which is nice but inconvenient."
