GGuest UserFacilities: Excellent. Cleanliness: Very good. Ambiance: Okay. Service was excellent – the front desk staff even proactively offered breakfast vouchers! The hotel is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from the train station. To get there, turn right from the station exit, pass through the bus interchange, and you'll find it right next to the Quanji Hotel. Our mountain view room offered a wonderfully expansive view.

XXiaojinzievaI was a little worried before checking in. When I asked for the Park Plaza, the taxi driver basically didn't know anything about it. Later I found out it was a newly opened hotel and the entire building was newly built. The hotel lobby check-in area was very small. The room itself was okay, but the elevator was very slow and you had to wait, especially in the morning when you had to squeeze and wait for a while after breakfast. Overall, the value for money was average. The homemade yogurt for breakfast was delicious, and the hotel breakfast was quite rich. The shower location and the lack of doors in the family room made it difficult to store things. Other than that, it was pretty good.

GGuest UserThe room was spacious and clean, and the location was excellent – close to major attractions and within walking distance of shopping malls and night markets.
However, there were a few significant drawbacks:
1. The TV system was disappointing. It didn't support screen mirroring, nor could we log in to our personal streaming accounts; all content required direct payment.
2. Breakfast was a major letdown and felt like false advertising. Many items advertised on the display boards were simply unavailable, and the overall quality was quite mediocre.
3. The in-room voice assistant was largely ineffective and far from smart. While it managed to operate the curtains, it failed at almost every other task, unable to even comprehend basic commands like turning on the lights.

AAnonymous UserThere was a girl at the front desk who was really friendly. I saw her name on her ID card was Vita. She was not the kind of distant and polite staff, but really stood from our perspective to handle all problems for us. Because our mobile phone was not a mainland card and could not connect to WIFI, she studied it for a while and helped us connect successfully. When we checked in, she told us that the climate here was dry, and the room notified us to add more water. When we went downstairs to go out and asked her for information about the surrounding areas, she personally helped us show us the way and called a taxi for us. She also told us that there is a big temperature difference between morning and night in Xining, and we need to add more clothes when going out in the morning and evening. The places recommended to us are delicious and affordable. There is really no formatted feeling of staying in a hotel, just like the feeling of a child at home helping you arrange things. The only regret is that we didn't meet her again when we checked out, otherwise we should thank her in person.

The facilities were a bit old, especially the shower, which didn't work well; the hot water was very unstable and could easily scald you. The hotel had good soundproofing, making it quiet, and its location was excellent, within walking distance of several night markets. The most commendable aspect was the service; everyone was very kind, attentive, and service-oriented. The front desk staff, the baggage service by Bai Wenxiang, and the housekeeping by Ma Yulian, among others, were all excellent.

GGuest UserThis is honestly the best deal in town. I have been coming to Xining for 10 years, stayed in different hotels each time. This is for sure my favourite one and the best deal in this range of prices.
First, the location. Right in the city centre, with a lot of taxis coming by (this can be an issue for hotels in other locations, where taxis are more rare). It is super convenient and one can reach any part of town efficiently and quickly. There are many buses that go from here to anywhere in town.
Second, the quality of the room, of the bed (super super cosy and comfortable, which is really nice after travelling roughly for two weeks in the nearby countryside), the cleanliness of the room and bathroom. Very good hygiene products, not cheap toothpaste and soap like in other hotels.
Third, and most importantly, the quality and warmth of the service. At the reception, the employees are very friendly and understanding, very warm-hearted, You feel really welcome in this hotel. They have helped me in several ways. especially Mrs Jane and Mrs Sunny Bai: fantastic people! They also speak English! Makes the whole stay memorable, enjoyable, relaxing.
I will surely come back here next time. This is an upper-tier hotel made available with affordable prices.

GGuest UserThe location is wonderful if you need the train, as it is literally just outside the train station, less than 10 minutes' walking from your train.
We needed the day room to rest between the morning and evening trains, and it works well for us. However, there are some issues we did not like. 1. We booked and paid through Trip, but at the receipton (we checked in early, which was great!) the receiptionst requested 100 rmb, which he said was a deposit that must be paid on the spot, and will be refunded in the morning. This was suspicious to us because nothing of this sort was stated on Trip, and no other bookings in China we made through Trip ever required any deposits, even less so in cash. When I showed him the original booking and payment, and insisted that we are only taking the room for the day, he stopped insisting on the ”deposit.”
2. The room used to be very nice, indeed, and preserves some of that niceness still: the bed is wonderful, with crispy linen, multiple different pillows, and very clean. the bathroom is nicely decorated and contained basic amenities, and the storage space is wonderful and spacious. However, like in some other Chinese hotels we stayed, the indicators of maintenance are the shower and the carpeting. In this room, the bed is super clean, but the bathroom and carpeting are either poorly cleaned, or not at all. We found hair and even a wrapping in the shower, while the carpeting in the room, elevator, and corridors was not cleaned in a long time. And yet, there are some such nice touches in this room, like the living creeper placed in a small vase in the bathroom, or the very nice wardrobe. The room is currently missing a fridge (although there is space for it), and it has not AC, although the corridors are cooled well. Instead, there is a fan, which in the afternoon heat barely helped.

Bbebou around the worldWe found the hotel easily. The lobby seems to be shared with another hotel. Check-in was possible even late at night. The reception staff upgraded us into a room with a window which was nice. The room in itself is small but functional. The bed is small but comfy. The TV worked well. There's a laundry room that you can use for free but the dryer mode doesn't work. The amenities are outdated and cleanliness is really not what you would expect. Our toilet seat was broken, the sink was dirty (we removed some stains with just water and toilet paper) and it was leaking. The walls have some very nasty stains on it and there's dust and stains on many things inside the room (bedside tables, fan, wardrobe, bedside lights, etc). One very annoying thing is that when you don't close your door properly, there's a loud alarm that quickly starts ringing. Unfortunately, when it's breakfast time, many people don't care and will leave that to ring until they come back, and it's very annoying. Breakfast is Chinese food only and not that great. Plus it is served in a very small room where there's definitely not enough space for everybody so you might have to wait. On the second day, housekeeping took our bath mat and didn't replace it, so we had to use another towel. On the third day, despite putting the ”do not disturb sign” on the door, housekeeping knocked several times until told that we didn't need anything. I mean it's nice of them, but the point of having the sign is not to be disturbed. Depending on when you take your shower, the water can be a bit dodgy (fine at night, but in the morning, it goes from burning to barely hot to burning again which can be annoying). The layout of the bathroom is weird as well as the toilet protrudes in the middle of the bathroom making it complicated to move around, exit the shower or even use the sink (especially since ours was leaking all over). Shower glass doors also don't close properly so lots of water is coming out. Our laundry string was broken so we had to find another way to dry our laundry.
I think it's important to note as well that as foreigners, we have been followed to our door by some other guests, and were stared at by others until we entered our room and closed the door which didn't feel safe for my girlfriend.
All in all, if you don't care about cleanliness, then it's ok as it's well located.
