NNoskovHad a solo day trip and wanted to try Hotel La Croix because they had a penthouse room for under $300.  The front desk staff were helpful and very eager and upbeat in a friendly way compared to other places where it seemed more forced or fake.  Skyline Penthouse only had a city view and it was decent sized for the price. King sized bed with a massive tv across of it. Bathroom was around the corner of the tiny kitchenette area. My only complaint would be that the room did need some touching up. For example the manually operated push button curtains were frayed, torn and crumpled in some areas which were noticeable.  The bathroom though clean, had some wear on the sink’s finish and there was a flapping panel on the wall near the toilet. Minor things but it didn’t help make the penthouse seem as exclusive.  Location wise though it is walking distance to high end shopping, restaurants and the beach. It’s adjacent to more expensive hotels like the Ritz Carlton, so it’s a budget option in a great spot without having to break the bank for rooms.

SSevost13We stayed at this hotel from October 29 to November 4. Overall, the staff was polite and the room was cleaned daily with fresh towels provided — which we appreciated. However, several issues significantly affected our experience. First, the accessible bathroom we specifically booked did not match the photos. There was no handheld shower head, which was important for us. Second, the mirror in the hallway was noticeably dirty upon arrival, with visible streaks from a wet cloth — quite unpleasant for a hotel of this level. I also reported that the faucet in the sink splashed water everywhere, soaking the countertop and the floor. I was told the issue would be checked, but nothing was fixed throughout our stay. The two-faucet system used to regulate water in the bathroom was also very inconvenient, and we consistently had problems with unstable hot water pressure. A separate major issue was the parking. I prepaid and reserved parking for 5 days, but on the second evening all the spots were already taken, and I was simply instructed to park in a different building nearby. This was extremely inconvenient — having to carry things from the 3rd floor of another parking structure and waste additional time. It turned out that even if you pay in advance, your parking spot is not guaranteed — anyone from outside can take it. So you pay, but end up without the service you were promised. Overall, the staff tried to provide good service, but the organizational issues, maintenance problems, and poorly managed parking system seriously reduced our comfort. Unfortunately, after this experience, I cannot recommend this hotel.

GGuest UserRenovation is great, but bathrooms are tiny! Only one can fit and it would have to be a thin person. Otherwise, the room is good, but walls are thin. There's also a charge for everything. Early checkin was $75, even though a room was ready. Great location and nightly rate is more reasoable than most, so for those reasons I'd recommend staying here

GGuest UserLet's start with the positives: The moment you walk in, you're greeted by a stunning ocean view, and I woke up to the beautiful beach every morning 🥰. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful 🫶. The room was also very spacious; coming from Tokyo to Hawaii, I really appreciated the upgrade in space 😍. There are many bus routes right outside the hotel, making it easy to get to Pearl Harbor. The Pink Line of the 'Waikiki Trolley' also stops directly at the hotel entrance, which is great for going shopping at Ala Moana. Now for some areas for improvement: The room didn't have many amenities, and there was no free bottled water. It's a bit far from shopping and dining areas; getting to lively spots usually takes more than a 10-minute walk. However, if you love surfing 🏄‍♂️, this is a great choice as the beach is just a short walk away.

RReaishenghuodepaopaotangThe Rainbow Tower is perfect for a family of four, with two spacious queen-sized beds (1.5 meters wide). This tower is one of the newer buildings within the Hilton property. A higher floor offers better views. We were on the 30th floor (upgrading to an ocean view room costs an additional $65 per day, which we didn't do). Facing directly towards the Reef Island, and with half the ocean visible, it’s a 'semi-ocean view' and still offers excellent vistas. On the day we checked in, there was some small trash left in the toilet that hadn't been cleaned. We were too late and tired to call the front desk, but when we returned from our outing the next day, it had been thoroughly cleaned, and the beds were made (we left a dollar tip each day we went out). There's no kettle in the room, nor is drinking water provided. Bring a cup, and you can get water from the purifiers downstairs. There's a coffee machine, but the water inlet had a lot of scale, so it didn't look very clean, and we didn't use it. **Convenience:** The beach is right downstairs, along with several swimming pools. It's super convenient to be able to get back to the room for a shower within 5 minutes after playing in the water. **Dining:** Across from the Rainbow Tower is Tropics Bar & Grill, which serves breakfast and lunch. It's a bit more expensive than outside the hotel, but the food is good. Coffee here is $6 with unlimited refills, and you can even take a cup to go when you leave. For kids who don't like meat, I recommend the pancakes. For meat-lovers, try the Sunrise Sando. Their signature Tropical Acai Bowl is a smoothie made from blended berries and ice, topped with granola, banana, and strawberries. It tastes a bit like ice cream and is great for cooling down after sun exposure. There's also an excellent ice cream shop in the hotel; the line starts forming around 5 PM, and one scoop costs $7.99. **Shopping:** There's an ABC Store right in the hotel, where you can buy just about anything. I compared prices, and they weren't much different from outside the hotel. There's also a cookie shop where you can sample before buying. They offer local specialties, perfect for souvenirs. **Friday Fireworks:** There are fireworks on Friday night. While simple and short, watching them from the beach is still very enjoyable. They start at 7:45 PM, so go early to the beach by the lagoon island to get a front-row spot for a clearer view. **Tips:** Keep the small card you receive at check-in handy; you can use it to get free towels on the beach. If you have kids, definitely take them to the children's pool next to the Rainbow Tower. It has three waterslides and two small hot spring pools – kids can play there all day.

GGuest User1) The escalator leading from the lobby to the mezzanine level was out of order. Given the makeshift barrier on the mezzanine level, it looked like the escalator had been out of commission for some time. Quite a shame from a convenience standpoint. 2) I had checked into the hotel after midnight because of a flight delay so I was pretty exhausted and fell asleep quickly after taking a shower, brushing my teeth, etc. I woke up in the middle of my first night's stay noticing a foul odor. After walking around the room and initially thinking it was coming from the A/C vent, I pinpointed the origin of the bad smell to the linens: the pillowcases, sheets, blanket. It smelled like a dirty wet sponge or clothes that never dried completely but were put back in the dresser drawer. I pulled all of the linens off the bed and left a note for housekeeping to replace them because of a foul odor. They did and it was fine the rest of my stay, but the point is I never should have had to do that. 3) Upon returning from my uncle's funeral Saturday night, to my dismay I found 20-30 cars that had been double-parked by the valets in the hotel parking lot. After circling the lot several times in the hopes of catching someone leaving but having no success, I decided to look into valet parking, figuring that since I was a hotel guest they would have something worked out. When the valet told me the valet fee was $49 even for hotel guests I was flabbergasted and declined. He instructed me to go back to the parking garage and speak to the parking attendant to ask about my parking options. When I got there, the parking attendant initially refused to come out of his booth to help me so I had to enter the garage, go all the way around to the exit and talk to him so that he didn't have to leave his booth. He pointed at a white car parked outside and told me to look for parking ”around there.” I asked him if that was assigned to the hotel, because I did not want to wake up tomorrow morning to discover that my rental car had been towed or impounded. He did not convince me that this was not a possibility so I parked the car where he instructed me to, took photos of the area, and went to the hotel registration desk to look further into the parking situation. The signage was also not clear. When I got to the registration desk, I was helped by an employee who seemed to have a French accent. He was definitely European, with very short hair. I explained what had just happened with the parking and he told me that the hotel did not have ”jurisdiction” over that parking area and he could not guarantee me that my car would not be towed. There happened to be another employee, a local guy, just finishing a transaction with a hotel guest so I moved one station over and asked him the same question. He clarified the situation and explained that that outside parking area (in the middle, under the ramp) was overflow parking for the hotel, and, as long as my hotel parking pass was clearly displayed, my car could remain there for the duration of my stay.

AAnonymous UserChose it for the airport pick up/drop off, what a pleasant surprise. Great receptionist, she got me into a room early after a long overnight flight. While room dated, it clean, full amenities and comfortable bed. Pool, restaurant and was given voucher for 2 drinks so enjoyed cocktails in the bar with very nice staff. The service was respectful and helpful. I’d stay there again.
