Great
As the hotel is located in the Kahala district away from Waikiki Beach, the surroundings are very quiet and there are almost no people around other than hotel guests. As a result, the beach in front of the hotel is calm and very safe. When I entered the lobby, I was instantly drawn in by the wonderful scent. There are dolphins in the hotel lagoon, and just looking at them is soothing. The facility itself feels old, but the hospitality of the staff makes up for it.
Overall, had a nice stay and can recommend it! The room was just the right size, really nice bed and fairly well equipped. Would've liked some additional amenities and a kettle but got it sent up to the room after a quick request to the front desk. The immediate vicinity of the hotel has what you might want, a bunch of supermarkets and restaurants and isn't too noisy. Would've been a perfect stay if it wasn't for the construction ground blocking the view to the ocean (no bigger issue with noise, in case someone would be concerned). Oh, also the gym present on the premises was much more well equipped than I would've expected and should be enough for the typical gym rat to flex a little bit before going to the beach(not enough for a serious session ofc).

Very Good
The hotel is 1 block away from the beach. Everything was accessible by walk. Room was clean and big enough. I stayed partial ocean view room and it was pleasant to watch Diamond Head and Sunset from the room. We stayed 4 nights but there was no house keeping service during our stay. But we could ask extra towels and toiletries when needed. Good value for money. I recommend.

Front desk is very friendly. We arrived early, had our luggage stored and also checked in earlier . The room is very spacious with beautiful harbor views. We watched sunset in the room, beautiful! The state capitol building and Iolani palace are just two blocks away. Chinatown is within 10 minutes walking distance. Many good restaurants available

For our recent trip to Hawaii, we chose the Poolside Suite at Wayfinder Waikiki — and it was such a great choice. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated in a tropical, laid-back style, and had direct access to the pool right from the terrace. It honestly felt like our own private villa! The pool area is small but super stylish and peaceful — perfect for relaxing with a morning coffee. ☕️ The staff were all incredibly friendly, and the whole vibe of the hotel felt very local and welcoming. One thing to note: it’s a little bit of a walk from the main strip of Waikiki, but that also means it’s quieter and more relaxing. If you’re looking to enjoy both the beach and a cool hotel experience, this is a great place to stay!
