"Stayed here during the Qingming Festival and I'm so glad I chose this hotel! It was a perfect experience and really took a lot of pressure off me as a first-time solo mom traveling with a child. A special shout-out to the housekeeping staff – their thoughtful service was an absolutely huge plus! I highly recommend upgrading to a room with a night view; the scenery outside the window is truly amazing. GGuest UserThe best thing about this hotel is its location. K11 is right next door, which was perfect since it rained a lot during the May Day holiday, making it inconvenient to go out. We spent most of our time at the mall, and when we got tired, we just popped back to the hotel for a rest. The breakfast was quite good too, especially the noodle soup and fresh orange juice. The front desk staff even gave my child an essential oil bracelet during check-in, which they absolutely loved. The hotel's exterior also looked pretty nice. One minor point: they advertise 'special features' like a mini-bar and coffee, but it's just two bottles of mineral water, two packets of soda crackers, and capsule espresso. Honestly, it's no different from the standard complimentary items you get at any hotel nowadays. I initially thought it would be a mini-bar like in the Maldives. It's not about the value of the items, but there's really no need to highlight it as a special feature. 😂

GGuest UserI’ve had this hotel saved for a while! First, the cons: 1. **Truly secluded**: This 'escape-the-world' hotel really lives up to its name, being nestled in the mountains. Getting there is quite a trek, and the mountain roads are bumpy! It might be inconvenient without a car. Plus, the recreational activities involve hiking up mountains! Not suitable for elderly guests or those with mobility issues (and indeed, I only saw young to middle-aged people here). 2. **Service could be better**: The overall service felt a bit lacking. Whether it was the front desk or other staff members, I encountered some unprofessionalism – the whole vibe felt quite casual. After booking, no one reached out beforehand with check-in details; I had to proactively seek them out. Also, some of the contact numbers provided didn't work. Many activities require reservations, and if you don't book in advance, you can't enjoy the service! 3. **Everything is rather compact**: The beach, the rooms, and all the facilities are quite small – it's designed for an intimate, less crowded experience. It's not ideal for extended stays; after one night, it gets boring as there aren't many activities (unless you’re specifically seeking 'seclusion'). Now for the pros: 1. **Excellent design and aesthetics**: Great for photos! 2. **Facilities are decent**. 3. **The biggest plus! The food is delicious and affordable**: It felt more like dining at a specialty restaurant than a hotel… Overall impression: Quite satisfied, took many, many photos! 👏🤣

AAnonymous UserLocation: Very close to the Ferris wheel, great for a run along the beach, relatively quiet and good for relaxing. Yet, it's also very convenient for getting to nearby commercial areas – taxis pick you up instantly. Even closer to the airport. Room Amenities: Fully equipped, which is expected for this price point. However, the user experience has many excellent details, such as the bedside power control being conveniently located on the side. Although there's a connecting ladder, you can transfer to the 34th floor directly from your room, which is even more convenient, giving guests more options than just going to the front desk. You can leave luggage directly with the staff at the front desk. Product details are the core competitiveness in today's market. Breakfast: The cheese and salad sections are very rich. For Chinese breakfast, there's a good variety of congee, noodles, and rice noodles, especially the 'cheong fun' (rice noodle rolls) which come in many flavors. Service: Polite and courteous, with very quick responses.

GGuest UserA perfect stay at the JW Marriott Shenzhen, all thanks to the professional assistance of Guest Services Executive Reina! Reina’s genuine smile and warm, generous service made a real difference. She handled check-in efficiently and thoroughly, proactively asking about my preferences and arranging the room accordingly – truly thoughtful. The room itself was spacious, exquisitely decorated with great style. The bedding was comfortable, and the bathroom facilities were excellent, making a relaxing bath super enjoyable. Throughout my stay, Reina provided attentive follow-up, promptly responding to and resolving all my inquiries and ad-hoc requests with full professionalism. The hotel’s overall environment is upscale, the service standards are high, and the breakfast offers a rich variety of quality options. A big shout-out to Reina – JW Marriott will definitely be my first choice for future trips!

GGuest UserPros - Both our rooms at level 10 were relatively close to each other facing the Wong Tee Plaza. It might be a way of the said front desk staff allocating these rooms to us to compensate for our unpleasant check in experience (see below). Spectacular views and we managed to spectate the night light show on Saturday without needing to go to the Civic Centre. - Facilities are great including 24-hour well equipped gym and sauna (best of all hotels in China we experienced so far). - Rooms are relatively new and fully equipped with necessities, has a dyson air dryer, Toto automatic toilet, automated curtains and a steamer to iron the clothes. - Breakfast had a lot of varieties to offer (personally loved the oden and sushi section), good service too. - Housekeeping was amazing. As I was leaving my room, Joy asked if we were interested in their laundry services and we declined as we do not have much laundry to do. After the first day of housekeeping, she noticed we did simple laundry (1-2 pieces of undergarment) and offered us a complimentary mini laundry detergent. We appreciate her thoughtfulness despite the fact that we initially declined her services. - Check out was relatively seamless, I believe it was the front office manager that managed our check out and explained the deposit refund procedures accordingly. - Concierge was decent too as they suggested we are better off getting a Didi to transfer our move to our next destination, and helped us load our bags to the Didi. Cons The only downside experience was check in. We requested if it would be possible to have interconnecting rooms (all good if not, at least as close to each other as possible within the same floor). We were advised that given interconnecting rooms are not available for the same type of rooms: 1.The staff provided an offer (upgrade to one of the bigger rooms that has interconnecting room with free 3 days hotel breakfast for 2 out of 4 pax). The quote/offer was outside of our budget hence we declined the offer and we just accept our original booking via Trip.com with no interconnecting rooms. 2.After we declined, the staff informed us that she miscalculated the price (from RMB 31k down to RMB 20k) for the same offer. This is very odd/confusing to us especially with the price difference due to miscalculation, and she was trying to push this offer to us again which we declined. At this point, whatever price quoted to us of this offer lost its credibility and we proceeded to stick to our original booking. 3.The staff said that she will notify us via WeChat (she added us on WeChat) once the room is ready. Understood at that time it was before check in time (i.e. before 3pm) hence we decided to grab lunch and come back after the check in time. It was past 3pm and we heard nothing from her upon returning to hotel and had to approach the front desk to ask for an update. The same staff managed to provide us key card for one of the rooms while the other room is still not ready (it was past 3:20pm at that time). She said that she will arrange one of her coworkers to deliver the keycards to us once that other room is ready. Around 3:50-4:20pm, we heard nothing (I walked past the other room and noted the housekeeping has finished cleaning up the room and left). I had to go to the front desk to request an update and eventually obtained the keycard. I am not sure if the above stems from the individual's motivation or if this is part of the hotel's standard procedure to aggressively upsell (even if we already said no) or if the front desk is pressured to meet monthly KPIs, but that left us an unpleasant check in experience and obviously did not represent the check in hospitality standards of the hotel itself. Aside from the check in, we loved everything hence we had to give 4 out of 5.

Ccircle920As the best hotel in Shenzhen, it truly lives up to expectations. Although it opened several years ago, it's incredibly well-maintained. The bedding and bath products are very thoughtfully chosen, and the welcome tea and snacks were a nice touch. The afternoon tea selection might not be huge, but it's very refined and tastes excellent. I particularly want to mention breakfast – the eggs Benedict were perfectly made, and the braised beef noodles were incredibly authentic. The fresh coconuts also met the high standards you'd expect from a luxury hotel. However, there was a small hiccup during check-in. When we arrived at our room, we found the door wide open and a man sitting on the sofa! Luckily, a staff member was passing by in the hallway. After hearing what happened, they escorted us to the lobby to clarify the situation. Leo, the lobby manager, sincerely apologized for the hotel's error, and the solution he offered was acceptable. For someone who has stayed in many ultra-luxury hotels worldwide, it's quite unacceptable for a Mandarin Oriental to make such a basic mistake. This was truly a first for me, and I hope the hotel takes this seriously!

AalallallThis hotel feels a bit dated, and there's a noticeable smell in the rooms. It seems the owner's management might be struggling, as the executive lounge's afternoon tea and happy hour have been significantly downgraded. The views are still nice, though I heard even the lounge breakfast will be discontinued soon. The pool is absolutely fantastic; the outdoor pool could easily be considered the most beautiful in Shenzhen. The changing rooms have a pleasant pine scent, which is a nice touch, but it seems there were no slippers. Breakfast was very rich and delicious, with Indian butter naan, jianbing guozi (Chinese crepes), and beef noodles being particularly good. The pastries were also plentiful. Overall, it's much better than the Ritz-Carlton Galaxy.

WWenmenglAbsolutely fantastic! This is one of Marriott's top-tier brands, and the location is superb. You step out of the Grand Theatre subway station right into a skyscraper so tall you can't even fit it all in one wide-angle shot. The high-floor views are stunning; you can take in all of Shenzhen's hustle and bustle right from your room. From the lobby, you can see in all four directions. It's just one subway stop from Dongmen Old Street, or about a 10-15 minute walk. The Grand Theatre is right downstairs, and beyond that is Lychee Park, which is perfect for a run – lots of people out for an evening stroll. St. Regis... I wonder if the 'St' prefix means 'Saint' like in the name of a Western church?

TTenajestOverall experience is satisfactory even though there is some issue happened where the front desk has made immediate compensation. The hotel is near the fairy wheel and outdoor shopping mall that is very connivence. Hotel executive complimentary is the best, where I can enjoy the most in the hotel with tea, wine and late check out. The suite they compensate is very spacious and nice. However, due to the construction site next to hotel, the standard room is comparatively noisy and there are multiple flying ants existed in the room, which annoyed me. Hotel should be more cautious while they are cleaning and balcony should not open to avoid insects fly in from construction sites.

2203993****The location is good, right next to Lianhua Mountain. Downstairs there's a restaurant, and across the street, there's a small supermarket and other dining options. Cross the pedestrian bridge and you're in Meilin, so it's very convenient for food. Subway: It's about 600-700 meters from Lianhua North Station (Line 4), a 5-6 minute walk. Hotel Environment: It's a bit older, so the facilities are a little dated. Service: The service was very good, and they responded quickly. When I checked into my room, I found the door lock was broken, and the hotel immediately upgraded my room. That was excellent!👍🏻 Overall, the value for money is pretty good, considering the price and the advantageous location.
