LLainey15This place is INCREDIBLE . Huge lobby with friendly staff to greet you and help you with queries. One particular girl helped us check in and added us on WeChat so we could ask her any questions any time. The reception staff and ropeu verify our WeChat accounts. There is also 24hr security . Huge dining area and restaurant with delicious breakfast from 6am - 10am both Chinese and European styled buffet items. Our room in particular was immaculate . Huge room and cleanliness was amazing as we are very particular but no corner was missed. Bathroom with two seperate sinks and seperate closed off toilet and shower were great not to mention toilet has a bidet and shower is HUGE . Aircon is strong. Bed is huge . View is over the streets and can see high rises in distance. You are also walking distance to the Huaqiangbei tech markets, a Family mart, McDonalds , and many many more shops and restaurants as well as a metro station just outside the lobby. Smoking area right outside the door and very convenient entrance where there is no issue catching Didi or taxis from. You also get a free afternoon snack mini buffet from 3pm-5pm and a free evening snack from 9pm - 10pm. Cannot fault this hotel it was luxurious . Water pressure is also very good and immediate hot/cold . There is also 24hour gym and free Landry service and robots bring your ordered food to your door. Thank you would love to stay here again.a

AAnonymous UserThe natural scenery is great, and the butler service was quite attentive, but when I asked about sunrise times or dining options, I wasn't given any recommendations, just told to look online myself. I hope this can be improved (at least by providing a list of nearby attractions/activities!). The hotel facilities are just average. The infinity pool was full of green moss, and the bathtub on the terrace of my room, which I specifically booked, had been removed, contrary to the pictures. Plus, it was quite outrageous to hear renovation noise during the day on a public holiday. The hotel restaurant served good food, but the overall process during peak dining hours needs optimization. A normal dinner, including waiting time, took nearly two hours. At over 7,000 for two nights during the Dragon Boat Festival, the overall facilities and service level still have significant room for improvement for this price point.

AAHMAD FARHAN F M AL-MASLAMANI⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Resort Experience in Shenzhen Our stay at MGM Shenzhen exceeded expectations and was one of the most complete resort experiences we have had in the Greater Bay Area. The hotel is beautifully designed, with modern architecture, direct beach access, extensive resort facilities, and stunning views of the South China Sea. We booked an ocean-view room and the view alone was worth it. The balcony featured a large daybed overlooking the beach, pools, gardens, and coastline, making it the perfect place to relax with a coffee in the morning or unwind in the evening while listening to the waves. The room was spacious, spotless, and very well equipped. Amenities included a Nespresso coffee machine with capsules, premium tea selections, complimentary bottled water, minibar beverages, wine glasses, quality bath amenities, indoor slippers, beach slippers, and even shoe-care accessories. Attention to detail throughout the room was impressive and reflected the luxury standard of the property. The resort facilities are excellent. There are multiple swimming pools, beautifully maintained tropical gardens, direct beach access, children’s play and water areas, and plenty of outdoor space for both families and couples. The beach was clean, the water was calm, and the entire resort felt peaceful despite being in one of China’s busiest cities. One of the highlights of our stay was the evening entertainment. Rather than a simple hotel activity, MGM organized a full outdoor show featuring professional dancers, fire performers, music, special effects, and interactive entertainment. The atmosphere was lively and exciting, attracting guests of all ages and creating a memorable resort experience after sunset. It felt more like a special event than standard hotel entertainment and was something we genuinely looked forward to each evening. Service throughout our stay was professional, friendly, and efficient from check-in to check-out. Housekeeping maintained the room to a very high standard, and every staff member we interacted with was welcoming and helpful. What impressed us most was how complete the overall experience felt. Between the beach, pools, ocean views, resort facilities, entertainment, and comfortable rooms, it truly felt like a destination in itself rather than simply a place to stay. You could easily spend several days here without feeling the need to leave the property. Pros: • Stunning ocean-view rooms and balconies • Direct access to a beautiful beach • Large resort-style swimming pools • Excellent family-friendly facilities • High-quality room amenities • Professional and attentive service • Full evening entertainment shows with dance, fire performances, music, and special effects • Beautiful landscaping and well-maintained grounds Cons: • None worth mentioning during our stay Overall Rating: 5/5 MGM Shenzhen successfully combines the comfort of a luxury hotel with the atmosphere of a true beachfront resort. We would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing seaside getaway in Shenzhen.

Ddoudoudou…Overall, it's excellent and the best option in its price range. The room isn't large but has a lot of character and many thoughtful touches. You can really see their commitment to sustainability. They didn't even rush us to check out past noon, even though we hadn't arranged for a late check-out with the front desk beforehand. There were only two minor issues: 1. No bathrobes in the room. I called the front desk twice, and when the staff brought one, she said it didn't have a tie, even though there were clearly loops for one. It seemed like they were short on stock and could only find one without a tie. 2. No slippers provided for showering, so I had to go in barefoot. I considered calling the front desk, but it was getting late, and I didn't want to bother them. However, these two points are completely acceptable and didn't really bother me. My biggest concern when checking in was the front desk mentioning potential noise from city road construction, but it didn't affect my sleep at all.

Ccircle920As the best hotel in Shenzhen, it truly lives up to expectations. Although it opened several years ago, it's incredibly well-maintained. The bedding and bath products are very thoughtfully chosen, and the welcome tea and snacks were a nice touch. The afternoon tea selection might not be huge, but it's very refined and tastes excellent. I particularly want to mention breakfast – the eggs Benedict were perfectly made, and the braised beef noodles were incredibly authentic. The fresh coconuts also met the high standards you'd expect from a luxury hotel. However, there was a small hiccup during check-in. When we arrived at our room, we found the door wide open and a man sitting on the sofa! Luckily, a staff member was passing by in the hallway. After hearing what happened, they escorted us to the lobby to clarify the situation. Leo, the lobby manager, sincerely apologized for the hotel's error, and the solution he offered was acceptable. For someone who has stayed in many ultra-luxury hotels worldwide, it's quite unacceptable for a Mandarin Oriental to make such a basic mistake. This was truly a first for me, and I hope the hotel takes this seriously!

GGuest UserPros - Both our rooms at level 10 were relatively close to each other facing the Wong Tee Plaza. It might be a way of the said front desk staff allocating these rooms to us to compensate for our unpleasant check in experience (see below). Spectacular views and we managed to spectate the night light show on Saturday without needing to go to the Civic Centre. - Facilities are great including 24-hour well equipped gym and sauna (best of all hotels in China we experienced so far). - Rooms are relatively new and fully equipped with necessities, has a dyson air dryer, Toto automatic toilet, automated curtains and a steamer to iron the clothes. - Breakfast had a lot of varieties to offer (personally loved the oden and sushi section), good service too. - Housekeeping was amazing. As I was leaving my room, Joy asked if we were interested in their laundry services and we declined as we do not have much laundry to do. After the first day of housekeeping, she noticed we did simple laundry (1-2 pieces of undergarment) and offered us a complimentary mini laundry detergent. We appreciate her thoughtfulness despite the fact that we initially declined her services. - Check out was relatively seamless, I believe it was the front office manager that managed our check out and explained the deposit refund procedures accordingly. - Concierge was decent too as they suggested we are better off getting a Didi to transfer our move to our next destination, and helped us load our bags to the Didi. Cons The only downside experience was check in. We requested if it would be possible to have interconnecting rooms (all good if not, at least as close to each other as possible within the same floor). We were advised that given interconnecting rooms are not available for the same type of rooms: 1.The staff provided an offer (upgrade to one of the bigger rooms that has interconnecting room with free 3 days hotel breakfast for 2 out of 4 pax). The quote/offer was outside of our budget hence we declined the offer and we just accept our original booking via Trip.com with no interconnecting rooms. 2.After we declined, the staff informed us that she miscalculated the price (from RMB 31k down to RMB 20k) for the same offer. This is very odd/confusing to us especially with the price difference due to miscalculation, and she was trying to push this offer to us again which we declined. At this point, whatever price quoted to us of this offer lost its credibility and we proceeded to stick to our original booking. 3.The staff said that she will notify us via WeChat (she added us on WeChat) once the room is ready. Understood at that time it was before check in time (i.e. before 3pm) hence we decided to grab lunch and come back after the check in time. It was past 3pm and we heard nothing from her upon returning to hotel and had to approach the front desk to ask for an update. The same staff managed to provide us key card for one of the rooms while the other room is still not ready (it was past 3:20pm at that time). She said that she will arrange one of her coworkers to deliver the keycards to us once that other room is ready. Around 3:50-4:20pm, we heard nothing (I walked past the other room and noted the housekeeping has finished cleaning up the room and left). I had to go to the front desk to request an update and eventually obtained the keycard. I am not sure if the above stems from the individual's motivation or if this is part of the hotel's standard procedure to aggressively upsell (even if we already said no) or if the front desk is pressured to meet monthly KPIs, but that left us an unpleasant check in experience and obviously did not represent the check in hospitality standards of the hotel itself. Aside from the check in, we loved everything hence we had to give 4 out of 5.

RRouroudelvxingFacilities: The design is truly excellent, giving off a full resort vibe, perfect for taking photos. Environment: The location is also great; it's convenient to get to Dameisha Beach by subway. Service: Very good, they upgraded our room for free. Breakfast: They have everything you'd expect. The freshly made egg and rice noodle rolls are recommended. There aren't many drink options, but coffee is available. Hygiene: Overall, the hygiene was OK, but this time I found a stain on the duvet cover. However, the staff quickly responded and changed it.

GGuest Userstayed at the UrCove by HYATT Shenzhen North over the weekend and had an excellent experience. The hotel was spotlessly clean, and the mattress was so comfortable that I enjoyed a great night's sleep. The breakfast was a real highlight—much better than most hotels in this category—offering a wide variety of delicious options. The location is prime, and parking was convenient, with plenty of spaces available even on a Saturday night. Although there was a slight smell of food in the hallway on my floor, it dissipated quickly once I turned on the air conditioning in my room. Overall, a highly recommended stay!

GGuest UserThis beautiful hotel is right next to Akanantara Resort. The room was clean and spacious, and it even had a sea-view balcony with a bathtub! The surrounding scenery was truly stunning, and we appreciated the complimentary drinks and fruit. It's a shame the weather wasn't good enough to catch a gorgeous sunset 🌅. We'll definitely come back with family next time.

GGuest UserThis is an old five-star hotel. Overall, I'd give my stay a 7 out of 10. Let's start with the pros: The location is incredibly convenient, right across from Window of the World and with a mall downstairs, perfect for entertaining kids. The breakfast buffet wasn't anything special, but it covered all the basics you'd expect from a five-star hotel. However, the jianbing guozi (savory Chinese crepe) station seemed to be unstaffed before 8 AM. Now for the cons, and there are quite a few: 1. I called twice to request an early check-in, and the front desk staff sounded like an AI chatbot, giving me nothing but canned responses. Is it really that hard to just say 'yes' or 'no'? Their repetitive, unhelpful answers only made me more frustrated. 2. The parking garage only has mechanical spots, which are a real pain to use. 3. There's a severe lack of accessibility. There are three sets of stairs from the underground parking lot to the elevator lobby, completely disregarding the needs of guests with strollers, wheelchairs, or large luggage. On top of that, the exit of the elevator lobby on the first floor was blocked by tables from the self-service restaurant, which was a very poor experience.
