Akana La Hidden Villa Retreat

9.8/10
Perfect

Absolutely loved my stay at Akana L'Incanto! The whole ambiance is just incredible – the pristine white wabi-sabi aesthetic is stunning, and every corner is photo-worthy. I stayed in a sea-view room with an amazing vista, and the private hot tub overlooking the ocean was a dream. The smart home features made for a super comfortable and relaxing stay. It's just a few minutes' walk to the gorgeous Liuliu Sea Beach, where the sunset views are incredibly calming. The resort offers a great variety of dining options, and the service is attentive and thoughtful. It’s the perfect escape from the city bustle for a relaxing getaway. I'll definitely choose this place again for my next beach vacation!

My stay at the Intercity Hotel Huaqiangbei was an excellent experience. The overall decor embraces a minimalist Bauhaus aesthetic, featuring clean geometric lines paired with elegant, understated color palettes. It successfully strips away any unnecessary design elements, perfectly blending simple style with practical sophistication, creating a spacious and grand atmosphere that feels incredibly upscale. The hotel's cleanliness was impeccable, and the room layout was well-designed, ensuring maximum comfort. The front desk service was particularly outstanding; the staff were warm, friendly, and handled check-in and check-out efficiently and quickly. They were patient and meticulous in their responses, addressing all my needs promptly and appropriately. The location is superb, making it very convenient for getting around and shopping. Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant stay with exceptional value for money. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Resort Experience in Shenzhen Our stay at MGM Shenzhen exceeded expectations and was one of the most complete resort experiences we have had in the Greater Bay Area. The hotel is beautifully designed, with modern architecture, direct beach access, extensive resort facilities, and stunning views of the South China Sea. We booked an ocean-view room and the view alone was worth it. The balcony featured a large daybed overlooking the beach, pools, gardens, and coastline, making it the perfect place to relax with a coffee in the morning or unwind in the evening while listening to the waves. The room was spacious, spotless, and very well equipped. Amenities included a Nespresso coffee machine with capsules, premium tea selections, complimentary bottled water, minibar beverages, wine glasses, quality bath amenities, indoor slippers, beach slippers, and even shoe-care accessories. Attention to detail throughout the room was impressive and reflected the luxury standard of the property. The resort facilities are excellent. There are multiple swimming pools, beautifully maintained tropical gardens, direct beach access, children’s play and water areas, and plenty of outdoor space for both families and couples. The beach was clean, the water was calm, and the entire resort felt peaceful despite being in one of China’s busiest cities. One of the highlights of our stay was the evening entertainment. Rather than a simple hotel activity, MGM organized a full outdoor show featuring professional dancers, fire performers, music, special effects, and interactive entertainment. The atmosphere was lively and exciting, attracting guests of all ages and creating a memorable resort experience after sunset. It felt more like a special event than standard hotel entertainment and was something we genuinely looked forward to each evening. Service throughout our stay was professional, friendly, and efficient from check-in to check-out. Housekeeping maintained the room to a very high standard, and every staff member we interacted with was welcoming and helpful. What impressed us most was how complete the overall experience felt. Between the beach, pools, ocean views, resort facilities, entertainment, and comfortable rooms, it truly felt like a destination in itself rather than simply a place to stay. You could easily spend several days here without feeling the need to leave the property. Pros: • Stunning ocean-view rooms and balconies • Direct access to a beautiful beach • Large resort-style swimming pools • Excellent family-friendly facilities • High-quality room amenities • Professional and attentive service • Full evening entertainment shows with dance, fire performances, music, and special effects • Beautiful landscaping and well-maintained grounds Cons: • None worth mentioning during our stay Overall Rating: 5/5 MGM Shenzhen successfully combines the comfort of a luxury hotel with the atmosphere of a true beachfront resort. We would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing seaside getaway in Shenzhen.

Secret Field · Shenzhen Kamakura Maze Reef Sea View Hotel

I left 5-star ratings across all categories as I was informed that staff performance could be affected otherwise. The staff were helpful, responsive and polite throughout our stay. Unfortunately, the hotel itself was disappointing and not somewhere I would recommend. I booked this hotel after seeing videos online and noticing it was marketed as a luxury property on Trip.com. The sea view is beautiful, and there are some photo-worthy spots around the property. However, it quickly became apparent that the hotel prioritises aesthetics over the guest experience. There were several signs of cost-cutting, including thin walls and fixtures that felt poorly installed. For example, the sea view from the pool was stunning, but just beyond it was a messy, poorly maintained storage building, which detracted from the luxury atmosphere. Privacy was one of our biggest frustrations. Our balcony looked directly onto a neighbouring balcony on one side, and the pool area and photo-worthy staircase on the other. We specifically paid more for a room with a balcony and sea view, but barely used it during the day because it felt so exposed. To make matters worse, our neighbour was smoking, making it difficult to enjoy the space at all. We ended up spending more time at the pool instead, but that was very disappointing. There were several dead insects in the water, including beetles and flies, and only two sun loungers for guests. Every 20 minutes, photoshoots took place around us, making it difficult to relax or enjoy any sense of privacy. It was especially frustrating because we had already avoided using our balcony for the same reason. We were also only informed after check-in that the pool would be closed for maintenance the following day, meaning we couldn’t use it on our final morning. The biggest issue for us was the noise. There was a recurring loud thumping sound throughout the day and evening. We weren’t sure whether it was coming from hotel operations next door or the ongoing construction beside the property, which also made parts of the hotel feel dusty and unfinished. One issue was resolved after we reported it, but we were later woken around 5am by an extremely loud disturbance that sounded like firecrackers, which staff advised had come from other guests. Breakfast was also surprisingly limited, with only a Western or local set option and no flexibility to customise or choose individual items. Once you look beyond the social media appeal, the privacy, noise, facilities and overall build quality fell well short of what we would expect from a luxury hotel. In our opinion, this felt more like a 3-star property with 5-star service. Aside from the pool area, there was very little else within the property for guests to enjoy, making it difficult to justify its “luxury hotel” positioning.

This hotel has become my go-to place; it's always my top choice whenever I'm on a business trip or vacation! Jennifer is always warm and friendly, and she consistently remembers my preferences, which is a truly thoughtful touch. The rooms are clean and tidy, the bedding is soft and ensures a good night's sleep, and the public areas are spotless. The facilities are comprehensive, and the location is convenient, offering excellent value for money. Every stay feels like coming home, and I'll keep coming back. Highly recommended for frequent travelers!

Facilities: The design is truly excellent, giving off a full resort vibe, perfect for taking photos. Environment: The location is also great; it's convenient to get to Dameisha Beach by subway. Service: Very good, they upgraded our room for free. Breakfast: They have everything you'd expect. The freshly made egg and rice noodle rolls are recommended. There aren't many drink options, but coffee is available. Hygiene: Overall, the hygiene was OK, but this time I found a stain on the duvet cover. However, the staff quickly responded and changed it.

Five out of five stars, highly recommend Atour Hotel (Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications)! The location is absolutely fantastic, just a short walk to the subway, making commuting super convenient. The room was meticulously cleaned, not a speck of dust in any corner, and the bedding was soft and spotless. The hotel's smart robot delivered food and items, which was incredibly helpful as I didn't have to go downstairs. The most pleasant surprise was the free laundry service; after washing, the staff carefully folded my clothes and delivered them directly to my room. No need to worry about laundry while on a business trip! The facilities are complete, and the service is attentive. I'll definitely choose this place again for my next business trip!

The hotel's location is excellent, right next to UpperHills and Bijia Mountain Park. The room size is decent, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offer great views. Breakfast variety is acceptable, with most essentials covered. Overall, the hotel service is quite good, but the breakfast restaurant service is very average. The biggest rip-off, though, is the hotel's spa. It's overpriced and the massage technique is terrible. I'd say it's the worst spa experience I've had at a five-star hotel! I felt like I was completely ripped off! A total waste of time, I hope everyone avoids it.

Five-star rating, absolutely fantastic! The sea-view room I booked was even better than the pictures. The huge floor-to-ceiling windows offered an unobstructed panoramic view of the entire ocean. I could lie in bed and gaze at the blue sea and sky, wake up to the sound of waves and the sunrise in the morning, and watch the sunset over the sea from the balcony in the evening. The ambiance was absolutely perfect. The room's cleanliness was impeccable; every corner was spotless. The bedding was soft and comfortable, the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and all the disposable amenities were provided. The appliances were all new and worked great. The owner and housekeeper were warm and attentive, making the check-in and check-out process smooth. They were super quick to respond to any questions I had. It's a short walk to the beach, making it very convenient for getting around. Plus, it's incredibly photogenic! My beach vacation experience was absolutely top-notch. I'll definitely choose this place again next time. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a sea-view getaway!

Traveling with a child, I prioritized convenience. The hotel's pool on the 3rd floor was perfect – not crowded and always had a lifeguard on duty. The location was great too, close to all the attractions, whether by metro or taxi. Overall, what really made this hotel experience stand out was the staff. Everyone, regardless of their role, was incredibly dedicated and friendly. For instance, Toey, who helped me check in, was super efficient and tried her best to get me into my room quickly, knowing I had an early flight and a child with me. Similarly, Leila, who assisted me when I decided to extend my stay, was very helpful. Even though it's an older hotel, the staff's warmth and enthusiasm really made up for it! 👍
