5-Star Hotels in Anhui, China

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! Sitting on the balcony, I could quietly sip tea while gazing at Tiandu Peak, Renzi Waterfall, and the lush forest below, truly communing with the mountains. In the early morning, I’d take a stroll, heading up the steps right outside the hotel, listening to the murmuring stream, and breathing in the abundant negative oxygen ions while meditating. This meditation spot is so peaceful, like a secluded paradise, with the pond water crystal clear and emerald green. It truly brought to life the descriptions from Liu Zongyuan's 'The Little Pond in Stone-dwelling': 'Through the bamboo grove, I heard the sound of water, like jingling jade pendants, and my heart rejoiced. Cutting through the bamboo, I found a small pond below, its water especially clear and cold. The bottom was entirely rock, and near the bank, a rocky base emerged, forming islets, shallows, and crags. Green trees and vibrant vines intertwined, swaying, and gracefully draping.' This is truly another wonderful way to experience Huangshan! The hotel also provided attentive and detailed butler and transfer services. Every meal was unique and incredibly delicious. On our last day, with a flight at 10 PM, the hotel kindly allowed us to extend our check-out until 8 PM and even drove us to the airport. My sincere thanks to every staff member for their help. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to Huangshan and staying here again.

Facilities: The hotel only has nine uniquely designed rooms. Cleanliness: Upon arrival, the Huaying Room wasn't ready, so we were upgraded to the Tianjing Room, which offered a magnificent view. Environment: Perched on Huangshan's peak, with clouds swirling, it's the most beautiful mountain scenery I've seen since Dayi Valley. The only challenge is the half-hour stone-stepped mountain path to and from the cable car, which isn't suitable for those who don't exercise regularly. My calves were sore for days afterward, haha. Service: There are many unique experience programs, such as tea ceremonies and incense burning. The staff at the restaurant were also very warm and welcoming. Considering the inconveniences of being high up in the mountains, the service was impeccable.

The newly opened five-star hotel in my hometown has a great environment, especially the night view, with its beautiful fountain and light show. The room window offers a view of Sleeping Beauty Mountain. The hotel service is also excellent; they called to ask if I needed anything and helped arrange a higher floor. They even gave me a Mid-Autumn Festival gift bag with snacks and an eye mask – very thoughtful! I'm so happy that my hometown has such a wonderful hotel.

My stay at Luming Valley Hotspring Holidays B&B exceeded every expectation from the moment we drove up the hill. My husband and I stayed in the Mountainscape Terrace Mountain View Suite, which genuinely felt like a 5‑star hotel room. It was spotless, beautifully furnished, and equipped with an incredibly comfortable bed, a fully stocked mini fridge, and a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains. The smart controls operated by “Xiao Bao” were a fun and convenient touch. We were completely blown away and honestly wished we could have stayed in the room forever. Even before our arrival, the staff communicated with us via WeChat to ensure everything went smoothly. We were able to speak with an English‑speaking staff member who took care of every detail for us—booking the hot springs, arranging breakfast, dinner, and afternoon tea, and even offering to help us get to the train station on our last day. Their attentiveness went far beyond anything we’ve experienced at other hotels. We were even given a thoughtful bag of gifts upon departure. Because the hotel is quite isolated, we ate all our meals on-site. The cuisine is Chinese, which isn’t usually my preference, but everything was delicious, freshly prepared, and presented with great care. A standout was the afternoon tea we enjoyed on our second day. We could choose to dine in our room or at the restaurant, which was perfect depending on how we felt each day. The highlight of our stay was definitely the hot springs. There are four in total, and we used the two located higher on the hill, which offered an incredible view—even on a cloudy day. The temperature was perfect, and everything was exceptionally clean. The staff assured us that each pool is drained and refilled after every use, which gave us great peace of mind. Soaking in the hot springs in the heart of winter, surrounded by Huangshan’s beautiful mountains, was an unforgettable experience. The hotel is about an hour from both Huangshanxi and Huangshanbei stations and easily reachable by car or Didi. Due to the weather, we didn’t visit the mountain scenic area, but the staff were more than willing to help us plan if we wanted to explore the surroundings. This was truly a 10/10 stay. The staff make you feel like you’re the only guests there with their warmth and attentiveness. The design and architecture are stunning, and the hotel even smells amazing. I have absolutely no complaints and would rank this among the best hotels I’ve stayed at anywhere in the world. It’s a perfect romantic getaway, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful escape. I can’t wait to return!

Location, location, location! The most important advantage said three times! The hotel's Chinese restaurant serves excellent food, and the price is comparable to what you'd find on Jiuhua Street. We ate lunch and dinner there on our own. The service was also great! The facilities are a bit old, though. The room's carpet and bathroom were very clean, but there was a slight odor, probably due to the humidity in the mountains. However, it's convenient for getting around, the location is fantastic! They also allowed a late checkout until 2 PM, and even gave me two sachets when I checked out! (As pictured)

I came to Hefei on a business trip and stayed for a couple of days, choosing this hotel. Jane, who assisted me, is very reliable. She took note of my preference for a quiet room beforehand and thoughtfully arranged one for me. The room facilities were fully functional, the hot water supply was steady, and I was thrilled to find Diptyque toiletries, which I love. The European-style hotel lobby is very comfortable to hang out in, and the small garden is a great spot to sit and relax. The MixC mall is nearby, offering plenty of dining options within walking distance. While nothing exceptionally mind-blowing, there are no major faults to find either. The good service is something you gradually appreciate—not the overly enthusiastic kind that makes you feel pressured, but rather the kind that makes me want to return for a second stay.

The hotel is located right next to Danxia Peak and the entrance of the West Sea Grand Canyon, making it ideal for visitors exploring the canyon. The service is excellent, featuring a dedicated butler service. The hotel is divided into Zones A and B: Zone A mainly caters to independent travelers, while Zone B mostly accommodates tour groups. Other guests mentioned that the hotel's food is the best among the mountaintop hotels; given that supplies are hard to come by on the summit, maintaining this quality is already impressive. Breakfasts for Zone A and B are served separately, which perfectly separates individual travelers from tour groups. Although the facilities are a bit dated, they are well-maintained. While the location isn't as central as the Baiyun Hotel, it still attracts plenty of guests and serves as one of the supply stations on the mountain. Highly recommended!

Before coming, I compared almost all the hotels and guesthouses on the mountain, and Beihai stood out as having the best value for money. The room size was quite decent, and the concierge service from Xinyi was excellent – she was very knowledgeable about the surrounding attractions and routes. The location is also good; it's about a 10-minute walk to Monkey Watching the Sea, which is currently the closest viewpoint for sunrise. Bright Summit is a bit further, probably a 45-minute to an hour walk for the average person. The closest to the hotel is the Yungu cable car, about a 20-minute walk, making it very convenient for going up and down the mountain. The hotel restaurant's breakfast spread was very generous, and the à la carte dinner dishes were also delicious, especially the bamboo shoots and the old chicken soup – so fragrant! The hotel staff were all friendly and welcoming. There's also a cat named Yundou, who's plump and adorable and often wanders around the hotel entrance early in the morning. Right outside the hotel, there's also a medical station, a police station, and a coffee shop, which makes the facilities incredibly convenient. While prices on the mountain are high, it's understandable, considering all the food and drinks are carried up by porters. I hope they are compensated fairly for their hard work. Overall, it was a good experience, and the money was well spent.

I specifically chose to stay at the InterContinental Hefei for Wang Leehom's two concerts! The location in the Government Affairs District by Swan Lake is excellent. Taking a taxi to Hefei Olympic Sports Center Stadium was smooth, and even after the concert when there was a large crowd, returning to the hotel was hassle-free, saving a lot of time and effort. In between my concert schedule, I managed to visit the Hefei Museum and explored the cultural and creative shops and took photos at Hechai 1972. Transportation to all these spots was very convenient. I stayed in a high-floor lake-view room this time, and opening the window revealed the entire Swan Lake. The night view from dusk till deep night was absolutely beautiful. The room was clean and tidy, and the soundproofing was excellent, allowing me to rest quietly after a long day of running around. The InterContinental's quality is consistently good. The breakfast selection is rich, and the service is attentive. It's suitable for both attending concerts and short city trips. I highly recommend it to anyone coming to Hefei for a concert.

A perfect Huizhou-style resort experience, highly recommended for a leisurely trip with elders! The hotel grounds are serene and beautiful. The front desk staff were incredibly kind and gentle, very considerate of the elderly person in our group. They even sent a cake and decorated the room for their birthday. The room was spacious and elegant with a great view. Breakfast was high quality with a rich variety of dishes. Both the elders and children had a wonderful stay, the experience was fantastic, highly recommended!
