Worried about traffic in the old town, I chose a place not far from it. The mural at the entrance is very striking, making it easy to find. It's also convenient for buses and taxis right outside. Food deliveries are brought up by a robot. My nail chipped while I was out, and the front desk provided nail clippers – big thumbs up!

Overall, the hotel performance was decent. The location is convenient, and the basic amenities are all there. The staff were friendly, and the check-in process was smooth. However, the soundproofing isn't great, and the hotel's mattresses and pillows are quite old, which made sleeping uncomfortable. There's definitely room for improvement in those areas. For the price, it's generally acceptable and suitable for a short stay.

First time in Zhangzhou, and I felt a welcoming vibe. The hotel is located inside the ancient city, with a charming, traditional courtyard style that's perfect for taking great photos. If you're driving, you have to park in a designated parking lot (15 RMB for 24 hours) and then take a shuttle or walk to the hotel. Right outside the hotel is a lively snack street, bustling with lights and activity. I took a stroll around the ancient city at night; it wasn't too crowded, which was quite pleasant. The only downside is that they don't offer breakfast.

Hotel near Fuzhou Changle International Airport,Fuzhou 6.4% of visitors choose this area

Facilities: Good Cleanliness: Good Environment: Right inside the airport, a few minutes' walk. The greenery and environment should be very nice, but I woke up late after staying overnight and didn't see anything. Service: The gentleman at the front desk was excellent. He alleviated my anxiety about missing my flight when I missed the shuttle and helped my mother with her luggage into a taxi. When we checked in at night, he thoughtfully provided breakfast, which isn't easy to get early in the morning the next day. Both the hotel and Airport Baixiang Media are subordinate and equal-level enterprises of Xiamen Airport, making them trustworthy. Drawbacks: The phone operators and front desk staff could use more training. The hotel actually has designated parking spots with signs at Airport Gate 6, but the staff didn't mention it, perhaps because they haven't seen it themselves at the airport. This would give customers more confidence in finding a spot. It's also quite difficult to reach the driver by phone, probably because many people are calling. When boarding, it would be best if staff could maintain order, perhaps by issuing numbers. People were haphazardly loading luggage and getting on, and then some had to get off because it was full. Also, it would be better if the signs clearly indicated where to get off for each stop. There are 3 stops, and the stop names don't perfectly match the room/hotel names, which makes it confusing, so you have to ask the driver each time.

What stands out most about this hotel is the quality of its service. From the young front desk staff to the slightly older cleaning aunties, everyone is well-trained, enthusiastic, and attentive. The official breakfast time is 7 AM, but many guests need to leave earlier for morning flights or subways. The breakfast staff kindly informed us that since it wasn't yet the official breakfast time, some items weren't fully prepared. For those in a hurry, just getting a bite to eat was greatly appreciated! I think this really reflects the genuine, down-to-earth hospitality of the local people, something you don't often find elsewhere. If I had to offer some constructive criticism, I'd say the hotel might lose its competitive edge in the AI era if it doesn't update its hardware. For instance, the in-room TVs and the long wait times for elevators. Other smart home features in the room clearly need improvement. Of course, updating hardware involves significant costs, so I hope this aspect is carefully considered in future strategic planning!

Hotel near Dongjiekou Shopping Center,Fuzhou 51% of visitors choose this area
WWushuangtishen 2026.01.24
I checked into the hotel on the first day of Fuzhou's cold snap in January 2026. My 70-something mother was extremely satisfied with her three-day, two-night stay, calling it her first trip of the New Year where she truly 'lived within Fuzhou culture'. The hotel is perfectly located in Wenfurong, right in the heart of the Three Lanes and Seven Alleys. Stepping out, you're immediately immersed in ancient alleys, the famous 'heart-shaped tree' photo spot, and various Fuzhou snacks. Evening strolls were particularly enjoyable. Despite being in the center of a tourist area, the hotel itself was surprisingly quiet, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle. The hotel is a charming conversion of an old Fuzhou traditional house (gucuo). Upon entering, you're greeted by a strong sense of scholarly elegance and historical charm. The courtyards, carved windows, and koi pond are all exquisite; every corner offers a picturesque, ancient-style photo opportunity. The front desk service was also very thoughtful; they proactively helped with luggage and patiently introduced nearby attractions and local delicacies, which made me feel very welcome. We were upgraded to a courtyard room, which had a beautiful antique feel with meticulous attention to detail. It featured wooden furniture, screens, tea sets, and even a few books about Fuzhou family culture, creating a truly immersive experience. The toiletries were from Clarins, a nice quality touch. Breakfast also deserves a mention. It offered authentic Fuzhou specialties like Rouyan (meat wontons), fish balls, Laohua (local noodle soup), and taro paste desserts. The taste was very authentic. The only minor issue was that the restaurant was a bit cold due to the sudden drop in temperature in Fuzhou, but to our pleasant surprise, on the second day, we found foot warmers provided, showing great thoughtfulness in their service.

A hidden gem of a guesthouse in the prime location of Zhongshan Road! It's a 5-minute walk to Zhongshan Park subway station, and a short taxi ride (just the starting fare) to Nanputuo Temple and Shapowei. The room is designed in a light luxury style with dark green and warm orange tones, giving it a strong Nanyang feel. Located on the 7th floor, it boasts a scenic balcony where you can overlook the bustling night view of Zhongshan Road. They also offer a complimentary laundry room with a dryer, and even provide branded Blue Moon laundry detergent. The bedding is soft and skin-friendly, and the bathroom has a separate wet and dry area – the attention to detail is truly impressive. The front desk concierge proactively sent out a guide for local attractions and dining spots, was always available to answer questions, and responded very quickly, 24/7.

The hotel's hygiene is quite good, with the toilet and shower separated, which is very convenient if two people are staying. The beds are comfortable, perfect for unwinding after a long day. The hotel's location is also excellent with easy access to transportation; there's a subway station right across the street and Xiamen's express line is about 100 meters to the right. Plus, there's a delicious seafood stall about 50 meters away. The breakfast in the morning is also very rich. If you're visiting Xiamen, this place is definitely a great choice – good value for money and a pleasant environment.

The Hampton by Hilton has an excellent location, just a four-minute walk from the Shudou station on Metro Line 1, and only two stops away from Fuzhou Railway Station. The room was clean, tidy, comfortable, and spacious. It was quite an unforgettable experience, as I happened to be staying alone when an earthquake off the coast of Taiwan affected Fuzhou, which was a bit scary! I stayed for two nights, and the breakfast had a good variety of fresh food.

MM528482****As a business traveler who's constantly on the road, this hotel totally won me over! The service is incredibly thoughtful and attentive to every detail. In the mornings, the cleaning staff always greets me warmly, and in the evenings, the front desk even offers a warm drink upon my return. The soundproofing in the room is fantastic; I wasn't disturbed by any outside noise at all. The bedding is soft and comfortable against the skin – getting a good night's sleep after a tiring day of business travel is so crucial. The environment is simple yet elegant, and the public areas are neat and well-maintained. Most importantly, the price is really budget-friendly, making it incredible value for money. I've already recommended it to my colleagues!

11360195****The hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of Gulangyu Island. It's tucked away in a quiet spot but still close to Longtou Road, where all the restaurants are, and attractions like Sunlight Rock and Shuzhuang Garden. We stayed in Building 9, which was very peaceful. It hardly felt like the bustling National Day holiday, but as soon as we stepped out of the hotel, we were met with throngs of people – truly two different worlds! The hotel has a private back exit for guests that leads to a quiet beach with very few people. The kids absolutely loved it, braving the heat and strong sun for over two hours, catching several small crabs. The hotel used to be a government retreat and is now open to the public. While the facilities and decor are a bit dated, you can tell the original fixtures are still of good quality. The room even came with tea ceremony tools, and the kids had a blast playing tea master – the Dahongpao tea was delicious. The hotel service is outstanding. They offer exclusive shuttle transfers from the ferry terminal to the hotel when you arrive and depart. If you're heading straight to the ferry after sightseeing, you can arrange a time with the hotel, and they'll deliver your luggage to the terminal, allowing you to enjoy your day worry-free. The staff are also incredibly helpful; knowing the kids wanted to play on the beach, they even brought sand-digging tools. When we encountered a staff member on the road and asked for directions to the beach, he simply walked us all the way there. We genuinely loved this hotel and highly recommend it.

GGuest UserThe location is excellent, right next to Daming Food Street and Dongbai Shopping Mall. Just cross the street and you're at the Sanfang Qixiang Nanhou Street archway. There are tons of delicious food options, and it's a very lively area. The room size is decent, breakfast was filling, the shower water was great, and the toiletries were good too. Housekeeping was prompt. Downsides: The front desk staff were very enthusiastic. Out of our three rooms, one was directly facing the staircase at the end of the hallway (even though I specifically requested no rooms at the end of the corridor when booking). Another room had a broken bed, and the springs popped out and pinched my friend's leg. Both of these rooms were eventually changed for us. The third room was directly across from the elevator, facing the hallway, and right next to another room (the doors faced each other at a 90-degree angle). The soundproofing was absolutely terrible. The outdoor unit kept making noise all night, the people in the next room were singing until midnight, and we could even hear the 'ding-dong' of the elevator going up and down. All three rooms were reported to be incredibly noisy.

GGuest UserI really loved the hotel's design and ambiance. The room was comfortable, spacious, and spotless. It featured a projector, an automatic toilet, and smart room modes; with just a press of a button, the lighting and other settings would adjust automatically. They also offer a complimentary shuttle service to and from the train station, which was incredibly convenient. There's a courier station just a 3-minute walk away. The breakfast spread offered a good variety too! Everything tasted delicious – flavorful, not too salty or greasy. I especially recommend the *jiuniang* (sweet fermented rice soup), Sihuanhua, fried eggs, and the freshly made noodles. The staff were all very warm and friendly, always greeting us. Knowing we had traveled a long distance, they even gave us a small gift bag containing some snacks and water to help us re-energize for our journey. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time! (They even upgraded us for free as our originally booked room type wasn't available due to a late check-out. *Please note: The attached photo is of the upgraded room, not our original booking.*)

Excellent location to explore Yunshuiyao and visit both Hakka houses Huaiyuanlou and Heguilou along the river within walking distance. GGuest UserArrived at the hotel in the evening, the front desk warmly received us and upgraded the view room. I gave it a thumbs up manually👍The room was comfortable and spacious. There was no hot water on the second night. I called the front desk and the response was very quick. A technician came up to check it soon and said that it would be fine if I ran cold water for a while. The only thing that can be improved is that the shower room can be equipped with a towel rack or hook for clothes and towels. Otherwise, it is a little inconvenient to open the door to get towels and clothes after taking a shower.

BBlindSmileThis was my second time staying here, and I chose the Deluxe Suite. The room was spacious, clean, and felt more like a serviced apartment—with a huge sofa that could easily seat 6–8 people, a proper living area, and a comfy king bed that made it easy to get good rest. The hotel has its own dedicated lobby for drop-off and pick-up, which made arrivals smooth and hassle-free. Staff were friendly and attentive. I was offered free breakfast, and they even helped with laundry by moving my clothes from the washer to the dryer and placing them at the counter for pickup—just let them know in advance. The food was great, with a mix of Western and Chinese options that were both delicious and satisfying. The location is convenient, especially if you're attending events at the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center, and getting around the area is easy. Overall, a smooth and enjoyable stay. Everything was handled with care. I’ll definitely be back.

EErererererererererererereryeOur little one wanted to see 'A Yuan's Home,' so we brought the picture book and came to stay. This guesthouse is located within the Tianluokeng Tulou Scenic Area in Nanjing. It's easy to find if you're driving, and personally, I found it even better than the Yunshuiyao Scenic Area – fewer crowds and stunning scenery. It's also very close to Taxia Village, which you can reach by cycling or walking. There, you can visit the 700-year-old Yuchang Lou, famously standing 'crooked but firm,' and grab a meal at the Xiaogqiao Liushui Restaurant. Just a heads-up if you're driving, be mindful of parking restrictions. Getting to Tianluokeng's iconic 'Four Dishes and One Soup' cluster is also super convenient, just a ten-minute drive. The Tulou are truly magnificent! The guesthouse hostess is incredibly nice, and they have a lovely Golden Retriever named Xiao Chai, who is very friendly and well-behaved. We booked a duplex room with a living area downstairs and the sleeping area upstairs. It even came with a projector, which was a huge bonus! But the real highlight was the in-room washer-dryer combo – such a thoughtful and convenient amenity!
