GGuest UserWe stayed at the hotel as a family for 2+3 nights, in different rooms. The room was spacious and had a small kitchen and a washing machine, plus a large shower. We ran into an issue in the second room: the previous guests had left the air conditioning on heating at 30 degrees, and it wouldn't start. We're not used to heating with AC, so we tried different modes and didn't think to just lower the temperature ourselves. We contacted customer support, but since they don't work overnight, we only got a response in the morning. Ultimately, we had to start the AC at 20-22 degrees and then gradually raise it to 26. It's worth remembering that Japan doesn't have central heating, so rooms will always feel a bit cool. There's paid luggage storage right by the entrance, which is probably good if you're worried about leaving valuables in your room. Also, there are luggage lockers at almost every subway station. For a late checkout, it's probably best to leave your bags somewhere in the city center. We really liked the neighborhood: lots of 24-hour convenience stores. Near the MCD subway station, there's Starbucks and local restaurants. In the shopping center, past the Starbucks, they have excellent donuts in the morning, and good sushi too. In the evenings, we walked to the tower. The value for money for a family room was excellent. Thanks for the hospitality!

XXiaotouThe hotel is very close to Ryogoku Station, just a 2-minute walk. After exiting the station and walking towards the sumo hall, the hotel is right across the street. The surroundings are lovely, and the terrace is perfect for a drink while enjoying the night view. There's a FamilyMart convenience store down a small street to the left after exiting the subway, and a 7-Eleven to the right. Plus, there are plenty of restaurants on the small street next to the subway station – I recommend the ramen shop. The room is quite spacious for Tokyo standards; you can lay out two 28-inch suitcases without feeling cramped. The hotel breakfast is also good; you order one set and then help yourself to the rest from the buffet. The downside is the room's cleanliness. When I opened the coffee machine, the previous guest's capsule was still inside and hadn't been cleaned, leaving it full of stains, which was disgusting. The coffee cups even had lipstick marks on them. The hygiene situation is a real no-go!

HHaidanbanfanThe room is very spacious, but the space isn't utilized very efficiently. The entrance hallway area is pretty much unused, and there's only a small table inside which isn't enough for personal items. The balcony is huge and offers great air; on a clear day, you can even see Mount Fuji. It's very close to the subway, so getting to Ginza, Shinjuku, or Shibuya usually takes less than 30 minutes.

GGuest UserThe hotel is a bit old, not particularly new. It has two restaurants, one on the 33rd floor and another in the basement (either B1 or B2). They say the 33rd floor is Western cuisine and the basement is Japanese breakfast, but that's not really true. The downstairs one looks more like a Chinese restaurant in terms of decor, and the selection is incredibly sparse, so hardly anyone goes there. However, if there's a long queue for the 33rd floor, it's an option. Oh, and you can see Tokyo Tower from the hotel. Even if your room doesn't have a view, it doesn't matter because you can see it from the 33rd floor during breakfast. I honestly think there's no need to pay extra for a room with a view unless you're absolutely set on seeing the night view.

MMariia_We traveled with a group of five. The apartment was quite spacious for the number of people, very clean, with a balcony and a traditional-style room. It had everything necessary for a large group: two showers, toiletries for washing and bathing, a washing machine with detergent, shoe shine equipment, an iron, a small ironing board, and other household items. It's located a 5-minute walk from Asakusa Temple and about a 10-15-minute walk to the nearest subway station. There are several 7-11 stores, cafes, and bars nearby. The only downside is that you have to carry luggage up a rather small staircase to the 3rd floor, but overall, it's tolerable.

MMingmingMThe room size was exceptionally large for Japan, and the hotel itself was spacious and expansive. I learned that it was originally an imperial garden, which explains the very distinctive garden style throughout. I booked a room in the main building, and opening the window offered a direct view of Tokyo Tower, which was lovely for fresh air. Although the room's overall furnishings aren't the newest, it was clean and tidy! I would definitely stay here again if I have the chance.

GGuest UserEasy 6-7min walk to Keisei-Ueno (Skyliner) station and Ueno station. Main and Annex blocks. Single room SUPER SMALL. Unable to fully open clam-shell suitcase on the floor. Have to place it on “foldable” table.  HUGE Pillar about 70cmx70cm occupies 1 corner of the room. Widest path between bed and wall about 80 cm.

HHnyjmldThe location is stated as being in the city center of Asakusa, but it was quite confusing to find. The addresses provided on Trip.com and the tourist registration link were different, which caused a lot of difficulty navigating to the unit. Unfortunately, the host was not responsive at the time we needed assistance. The unit is located on the 3rd floor, while the 1st and 2nd floors are occupied by other residents. Carrying luggage up to the 3rd floor was quite challenging, especially for a group. Additionally, we received complaints from residents about noise from our footsteps. Given that the house structure seems to be typical Japanese style (not concrete), it was difficult to control or avoid such noise, which made us feel uncomfortable during our stay. In terms of amenities, the unit only provides very basic items. For cooking, there is only one of each utensil (e.g., one knife, one spatula), which is not practical for a group of 8 people and makes cooking very time-consuming. There is also no iron provided, and even if there is washing machine, you need to buy or bring your own detergent and there’s no place to dry since the rooftop os prohibited to access. Need to dry within the unit where have heater. Another inconvenience was the host not allowed for luggage storage options, which is not ideal for families or larger groups. We had to arrange external storage with Yamato as per host recommendation since we unable to early check-in. The host also did not clearly inform us in advance that early check-in was possible with an additional charge. Only when we requested early check-in around 3 PM were we informed about this extra fee. Overall, the stay was manageable but not very convenient, especially for larger groups or families. Will not repeat to stay in this unit.
