"The room is large, spacious and bright, the bathroom is also very large and bright, and it can be locked. I live alone in a large room. It is beautiful and lighter than a single room. Hotel location is very good, 4 minutes walk from the train bus station, very convenient to take the train to the hot water town, 8 minutes walk from the Sun Temple, choose the best time to visit, breakfast, restaurant and rest hall design warm, also arranged Christmas tree 🎄, the door has an electronic lock, easy access, The front desk chefs and health staff are very friendly and answer all questions."

Location is unbeatable: just a 3‑minute walk to Plaza de Armas, perfect for exploring the city on foot.
Rooms are comfortable and clean, with a cosy bed and a heater available at all times. No TV in my room but honestly, with everything nearby, you won’t miss it 😄
Extremely helpful staff, genuinely some of the most supportive I’ve ever encountered. They were incredibly accommodating and even helped me multiple times late at night when Rappi wasn’t working and I needed to order food.
If you have early tours (4:00, 5:00, 6:00 AM), just let them know in advance — they’ll happily prepare your breakfast earlier for you, which I really appreciated.
They also decorated our room exactly as requested, which made our stay even more special.

Without exaggeration, Belmond Monasterio is the best hotel in Cusco. Even after trying two other higher-priced Belmond properties and the JW Marriott, I still firmly believe this is the ultimate choice.
The beauty of this hotel is beyond words. The elegant public spaces and tranquil gardens create an atmosphere of timeless serenity. The classic, historic walls whisper stories of the past, while the dazzling golden chapel adds a breathtaking sense of grandeur. Every detail is a masterpiece.
Yet, what truly sets Belmond Monasterio apart is its service. The staff are warm, professional, and genuinely caring. Their service attitude is impeccable—perhaps the best in South America. A prime example: when I lost my credit card, they found it and returned it promptly. Compared to the Los Cabos Waldorf (which I mention due to its premium pricing), this hotel’s service is on another level—infinitely more personal, thoughtful, and heartfelt.
I would love to give special recognition to my butler, though unfortunately, I have forgotten his name.
In short, I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Endless love for Belmond Monasterio.

The internal environment of the hotel is very good, the decoration is very beautiful and very clean.
The room is also clean and tidy, but there is no exhaust fan in the room. The smell of the bathroom is difficult to disperse, especially the closed room without windows.
The service is difficult to say. I booked a superior room with windows and balconies. When I checked in, I said that the room was gone. The room I upgraded was the result of the ”upgraded” room. It was a fully closed room without windows! I don't agree, but the hotel said there was no room. The ”discussion” result was to give me free dinner. I didn't have a choice. I could accept...

Ffrancis ckThis hotel feels very warm to me! I stayed for four nights in a row! I joined a local tour to go to Machu Picchu! Departing at 4:30 in the morning, I was waiting in the hotel lobby. The hotel staff had prepared a simple breakfast for me! It was almost midnight when I came back from Machu Picchu! I was very hungry when I came back! It’s freezing again! I told the hotel receptionist! The bath in the room is cold but not hot! She immediately went to adjust the hot water! Make hot tea! Cook instant noodles! Give me bread again! I went to my room to test the water temperature again! I am really touched! Next time I go to Cusco! I will stay at this one star hotel again!

SSUMMER DREAMThe hotel is located near the Plaza de Armas, which is convenient for travel. It is an old monastery-style hotel, which is very interesting. The room facilities are relatively old, but the hygiene is OK. There are no windows. The breakfast is OK. You can store your luggage, so you can travel light to Machu Picchu.

NNAOHIKO HASEGAWAThis hotel is located on the corner of Plaza de Armas and has the best location in Cusco. The room was well cleaned. The staff were all kind and friendly. On the day of our early morning departure to Machu Picchu, they gave us a lunch box for breakfast. They called a taxi to the airport and the price was fixed, so we felt at ease. And above all, the breakfast on the terrace overlooking Plaza de Armas was the best time.

GGuest UserThe location is really good. Cusco is difficult to get around due to altitude sickness, but it is really comfortable to come in and relax in the middle. There is also a Korean restaurant called Sarangchae right across the street. The downside is that the slaughter is a bit old and there is a club in front of the hotel, so it's a bit noisy until dawn. The staff were friendly and I had a good stay for 3 nights.

GGuest UserHad two separate bookings with the hotel as I was going to Machu Picchu and staying overnight there. During my first day at this hotel in my first reservation, I was asked to pay for this second booking together. No receipt given but was assured that there will not be any misunderstanding. Was told to pack and leave my things at the reception and check out and re-check in. So not sure why I needed to pay for the second reservation upfront in my first booking (Maybe afraid that I would cancel it as I was really tempted to). As mentioned in my previous post, the amenities are severly lacking, cause of low water supply, the pipes and toilet filling up is very loud and the water flow from the tap is like the picture at night and it was trickling and dripping one of the early mornings when I had a tour. In short, i will not stay here again.

KK TravelsLet me start with the positives, stylish design, exactly like the pics advertised, from entering the hotel to the resting area to the balcony to the room, all very nice.
But you need to be ready for the stairs if you not getting here by car, going out and coming back from the square, especially if you have luggage or backpack, everyone arriving here were out of breath.
The bathroom has odor coming up from the pipe, which is normal for house this old, if you are okay with it.
I was in room 201, sound proof does not exist, can hear car passing, dog barking, guests coming back from partying at night, tourists cheering & leaving hotel for trips at 3:30am, didn’t get much sleep.
Most disappointing thing was hot water, I arrived in the afternoon climbing up the stairs, was hoping to have a quick shower before heading out for dinner, stood in the bathroom waited 5mins for hot water, was told be staff hot water was out they are trying to fix, came back after drinks, still no hot water, was very late so didn’t call staff, tried to have a shower before check out at 7am, hot water was still not available after another good 5mins standing in the shower… sigh
