Location is a big plus here — right next to the convention center, a shopping mall with tons of dining and shopping options, and DiDaDi outdoor theme park is literally just outside the hotel. The kids loved it and kept themselves busy the whole time. Rooms were great and the outdoor bathtub was a nice bonus. We had a minor hiccup with the AC going out overnight, but the manager was super responsive and got us moved to a new room without any hassle since the technician wasn’t around over the weekend. Really appreciated that. Free breakfast and supper are both included, and honestly both were really good — plenty of variety and everything tasted great. Oh, and don’t sleep on the hotel’s rooftop photo shoot. The views up there are stunning and it’s a proper must-do during your stay. All in all, a really enjoyable stay. Highly recommend!

Perfect location in a walkable tree-lined neighborhood, where there are lots of upscale restaurants and bars and cafes. The hotel isn’t the newest and could use a touch-up in places but very interesting design, cool artwork in the lobby, huge rooms. A couple machines for laundry and gym on top floor. Service at the reception was super helpful. Breakfast is in a restaurant that is a German beer place during the day and night. Selection is modest but sausages and delicious broth and noodles, the bread could have been more fresh. Would stay here again.

The hotel is conveniently located near Haigeng Dam, and as soon as you step in, it feels like a Banyan Tree resort, with lush tropical plants, fountain courtyards, and especially the stunning large palm trees. The room is very spacious, and the decor has a great sense of quality. The bedding is comfortable, and the toiletries are Byredo Blanche, which shows excellent taste. The breakfast is rich, especially the delicious rice noodles – just make sure to go early as it gets crowded. The service is exceptional, especially Nina, who, knowing we were traveling with a child, installed two bed rails and prepared many baby essentials for us. It was incredibly thoughtful, and we are very grateful. The rice noodles at Xiangdao Xuan Chinese restaurant are so authentic; both the chicken soup and ingredients are excellent. This was a truly satisfying stay, and InterContinental will definitely be my first choice when I return to Kunming.

My stay was super satisfying! Daisy at the front desk was warm and polite, and check-in was very fast. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft and comfortable, the bathroom had no strange odors, and there was plenty of hot water. The hotel's location is convenient for getting around and dining. The soundproofing was good, so it wasn't noisy at all at night. The housekeeping auntie provided thoughtful service, and all facilities were complete and in good condition. It's excellent value for money, and I'll choose this hotel again for my next trip. Highly recommended!

This is the best hotel I've stayed at in the past two years in terms of service. Facilities: It's like a brand new hotel, incredibly well-maintained and fully equipped. The elevators are super fast; it's rare to find a hotel where you don't have to wait to go up to the 30th floor, and this is one of them – amazing! Hygiene: The cleanliness is impeccable, with no untouched corners. The bedding is fantastic, and both the mattress and pillows are very comfortable. Environment: The transportation is very convenient, with shopping areas both in front and behind the building. The city street views and natural scenery are all beautiful. Service: The service is simply beyond words, incredibly thoughtful. Check-in was seamless, and all issues were handled very promptly with an excellent attitude. The welcome fruit platter was generous, the handwritten card was a lovely touch, and they proactively offered water. The butler service was spot-on. I was also very satisfied with the restaurant. It was an absolutely flawless stay. There was even bread in the room, which was an incredibly thoughtful touch. 100% recommended, 100% positive review.

We came all the way from Chengdu for a two-day weekend getaway. The hotel offers complimentary airport shuttle service, which was a lifesaver when my friend suddenly had severe abdominal pain on the plane. The driver kindly took us to the nearest clinic and waited for us. The hotel's concierge, Bocheng, was incredibly nice and accommodating, always ready to help and even proactively helped us plan and remind us about our itinerary for the next day. The hotel is beautifully situated right on Yangzong Lake, offering a fantastic location. Although it's been open for twenty years, it's still well-maintained and has a unique charm.

The hotel environment is fantastic, right next to Yulongwan Park. There's a small path leading to the back entrance of the park, and it's lush with greenery, making the air really fresh. The front desk staff (especially the young lady) was super friendly and provided excellent service. The room was spacious, and all the drinks in the minibar were complimentary. It also had a balcony, perfect for soaking up the sun and enjoying a cup of tea – super relaxing!

I absolutely, truly, madly love this retro hotel! So comfortable and clean!!!! Five stars all the way!! The old-fashioned architectural texture and vintage soft furnishings exude a quiet elegance without feeling heavy or dated. The blend of retro and modern is just perfect!!! The room details are thoughtfully done, and the comfort level is completely on point. The staff service is also excellent!!! That attentive, considerate touch unique to older, established hotels!!!!! Love Kunming! I'll definitely choose this place again next time I visit!!!!!!!!!!!!

Facilities: This is a Shangri-La Group express hotel, boasting a stylish and modern design. It shares the same building with the main Shangri-La hotel, so guests have access to their gym and swimming pool. The brand-new amenities make for a very comfortable stay. Location: It's conveniently located near the Parc 66 shopping mall area, and the Tuodong Sports Center Metro Station (Line 3) is right outside, making travel easy. Service: The hotel's Kaitang Cafe offers an excellent breakfast with a wide variety of high-quality dishes, including local specialties and outstanding bakery items. The restaurant staff are very friendly and helpful. The fitness center also provides fantastic service; they even offer complimentary coffee after your workout. I'd also like to thank the front desk staff, ISABEL, LOUIS, and HALINA, for their excellent service during my stay.

The hotel's location is super convenient! It was easy to get to Old Street and Cuihu Lake for some sightseeing and local food. The room itself was spacious and bright, with a well-thought-out layout. I really appreciated the separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom – it made things feel much cleaner and more practical. And a special shout-out to their essential oil soap! It smelled lovely, lathered up nicely, and it's even part of a charity project, which is a nice touch.
