"I arrived at the airport late the night before, but the hotel's pick-up service was perfectly arranged. The driver was already waiting, and even proactively helped with my luggage, completely saving me the hassle of finding a taxi in the middle of the night. Upon arrival, front desk staff member #6 was incredibly friendly and polite, and check-in was very efficient. She also thoughtfully informed me of all the important details. After a long and tiring journey, the warm and thoughtful service from the staff made me feel so much better, and the room environment was also excellent. The overall service was impeccable, I highly recommend this hotel! It will definitely be my first choice next time I visit Kunming!"

"This is an international youth hostel, and there are indeed many foreigners here. The common areas have a great vibe, and the food and drinks are very affordable. It's super convenient, just a 2-minute walk to the East Gate of Cuihu Lake. If I could, I'd love to book it for two months next summer! Oh, a friendly heads-up: the room type I booked doesn't have air conditioning, only a fan. But it was quite cool, so the fan was perfectly fine. I stayed in room 506; the bed was very soft, the shower had good pressure and heated up quickly. The toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, and shower gel were all good, and the toilet paper was quite thick. The only minor drawback was that the electric fan was a bit noisy. My friend stayed in 606; their water pressure was slightly lower, but the fan was silent, though the bed was a little firmer. Overall, I'm very satisfied! The washing machine and dryer are also a nice touch. All the staff speak English. While it's called a youth hostel, there are actually people of all age groups staying here."

"This stay was a pleasant surprise! The hotel is only a 10-15 minute drive from the airport. It's located in a village, which makes the location a bit off the beaten path, but that's perfectly fine as they offer airport shuttle service. We arrived at Changshui Airport at 2 AM on our first day. After collecting our luggage, we contacted the hotel for pickup. Even though it was raining heavily that night, the hotel was fantastic and was already waiting for us in the parking lot. Since we had to catch a high-speed train to Dali the next day, the hotel even dropped us off at the nearby subway station. When we returned to Kunming on our last day, we chose to stay at this hotel again. The staff here are incredibly enthusiastic; they recommended local breakfast spots and hot pot restaurants, all of which were delicious and very affordable. Because it was pouring rain that day, the hotel even went out of its way to drive us to the restaurant for dinner. The hotel is a good distance from the airport, so it wasn't as noisy at night as I expected; if you don't listen carefully, you can barely hear the planes landing. I highly recommend this hotel for travelers transiting through Kunming or those who want to be close to the airport without the noise. On a side note, dining in the village where the hotel is located is super convenient. There are restaurants within a 100-meter walk from the hotel, and the food suited our out-of-town tastes perfectly. I've included the name of the hot pot restaurant we went to; it was genuinely affordable, tasty, and the portions were generous. If I have the chance, I would definitely choose to stay here again. The only downside is that there's no place to hang clothes or towels in the room, only in the bathroom. I hope the hotel can add some racks or hooks for guests to hang their belongings."

"My kid was a bit worried at first, thinking such a cheap room might not be great, but it turned out to be really good! It was clean and tidy, and while there was some airplane noise, it didn't bother us much. We were satisfied with everything, really. The room was huge, the bed was big, and the pillows were quite comfortable. If I had to nitpick, I'd say the disposable slippers and combs were a bit too 'disposable,' and it would be even better if the restaurant offered dental floss instead of toothpicks."

"Great vibes, full of energy - good for solo travelers Stayed at Cloudland International Youth Hostel in Kunming and loved the atmosphere. The good: The vibes here are amazing. Super energetic and social. There are activities almost every day so it’s easy to meet people. Staff are polite and helpful, always ready with recommendations. Location is really good — convenient to get to downtown and transport. For the price, it’s great value for money. Could improve: Hygiene can be improved a bit. Common areas and bathrooms are okay but not spotless. If you’re picky about cleanliness, bring slippers. Overall: Perfect if you want to make friends and have fun. Less ideal if you want a quiet, hotel-style stay. I’d come back for the people."

"The room was spacious and clean, and the bed was just right – not too soft, not too hard. The front desk staff kindly arranged a high floor for us, just as requested. The hotel's location is convenient for sightseeing, and the service was prompt. It was a comfortable stay with our child, making it perfect for a family trip. "This was the cheapest hotel we stayed at during our Yunnan trip, and also the one with the absolute best service! First, they offer subway station pick-up and airport transfer services. On the day of check-in, they send a reminder just in case you're unaware of these services. Upon arrival, you're immediately offered a glass of water, and then they thoughtfully help you arrange your airport transfer times. The room itself is fully smart-enabled, which is really impressive. But what touched us the most was that our flight was at 5 AM the next day, and we had scheduled a 4 AM airport drop-off. We came down about ten minutes early, expecting to wait a bit for the driver. To our surprise, even before 4 AM, a young man and a front desk lady were already waiting for us! They even kindly gave us two breakfast boxes to take on the road (we hadn't paid for breakfast). As soon as we stepped out of the hotel, the car was already waiting right at the entrance. The service was so incredible that we actually wondered if we really only paid 100 RMB, haha!"

"I stayed for 3 nights, and the hotel's location was excellent for getting around, very close to the old town, just a 10-15 minute walk. There are plenty of snack options nearby. The room was spotlessly clean, and the space felt quite generous, not at all cramped. All the toiletries were well-stocked. The drinks and snacks in the room were all complimentary, and every day they offered fresh local fruit and wine (we don't drink, so we declined). We also got a complimentary afternoon tea, and the Tiramisu was delicious, but I forgot to take a picture… Breakfast was also quite rich, with options like rice noodles, regular noodles, Er'si (a local specialty), wontons, and both Chinese and Western dishes. Overall, I was very satisfied and hope to visit again."

"The location is super convenient, just a 10-minute walk from Kunming Station. The rooms are on higher floors, and I think the soundproofing is pretty good for such a noisy area. The hotel service is excellent; you can always find staff even in the early hours. The breakfast spread is rich, though the restaurant lighting could be better. The elevators are the biggest issue! There are two separate elevators, and during busy times, they stop on almost every floor, but no one is there to get on or off! But overall, it's still a good hotel. ❤️"
