"Location is great. It is located just right opposite to the Taipei Main Station. You may stay here if you have an early flight has to catch. Things to remark is they didn’t clean the room daily but they will collect the rubbish and change the towel daily which consider acceptable for us. One of my friends got bitten by the bugs and caused itching on the legs. The staff provided us ointment, offered room changing, sprayed some mist on our bed. Overall they did try their best to help."

"We had a wonderful stay at the Grand Hotel. If possible, I highly recommend booking a window-side room in the main building. The view is amazing—you can watch planes taking off and landing at Songshan Airport while also enjoying a beautiful view of Taipei 101. It was a unique and memorable experience, especially during the evening. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the combination of the historic architecture and the stunning city view made our stay even more enjoyable."

"The Hollywood King Room had a really big and comfortable bed! We stayed for three nights. The toilet was a TOTO, and the wet/dry separation was a big plus! The hotel's location is super convenient, very close to Ximending Pedestrian Area. The only issue was on the first night, we had no cell signal, which led us to take a wrong turn after exiting the subway. The closest subway exit is the Underground Street - X6, and exit X5 has an escalator. We ended up having to take a taxi. The hotel's name is also hard to spot at night. Breakfast was plentiful, and the staff were incredibly diligent, constantly clearing plates. Overall, the service was excellent, and it offered great value for money."

"The hotel staff gave us a warm welcome. We arrived before the check‑in time, but they kindly allowed us to leave our luggage at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and offered great recommendations for sightseeing and dining. We stayed in a family room for three people, and the space was more than enough for us. The room was clean and well-equipped with everything we needed. The location is also great—not right in the middle of Ximending, but slightly away from the busy area, so it’s quieter and more relaxing. Overall, a very pleasant stay!"

"I needed to stay near the Taipei Arena, so I booked this hotel to try it out. The room was quite spacious, and there were plenty of convenient dining options nearby. This was a business trip, so I only stayed one night before checking out."

"My son and I traveled to Taipei for a music event. We made the decision to stay overnight and, after reading reviews, I booked Happiness Hotel for one night. Check in was easy and quick, our rooms were great, the beds were comfortable, we slept well and had a great experience overall. We would stay again & recommend it to others."

"Enjoyed our stay at Miramar - room was clean and big with most facilities we needed (toiletries not provided due to them being more sustainable but was told you can purchase/request from front desk); the shampoo, bath soap and conditioner provided was one of the best I’ve tried for hotels. The gym although felt a bit cramped was decently equipped (had a smith machine too) and while I didn’t use it, there was an onsen bath as well with good facilities and 2 separate pools. Buffet breakfast had a good range of cuisines, a noodle/omelette station that’s made to order; especially enjoyed the variations in some of the dishes provided across the days. I didn’t mind the 10 minute walk away from the nearest mrt station much and liked that there was also a free entry to the art museum directly opposite from the hotel as well."

"As a 5-star hotel, I don't think they should be promoting self check-in kiosks. A 5-star hotel should provide the expected service, not tell me to use a self check-in machine – I might as well book a 3-star hotel then. And if the self check-in machine wasn't bad enough, it even had problems. Check-in was supposed to start at 3 PM, but when I arrived at 4 PM, it said my room wasn't ready yet? Then I had to go back to the front desk to sort it out. If the machines are so unreliable, why not just let guests check in at the front desk? Furthermore, before checking in, I specifically requested a high floor, and the hotel even replied that for my room type, the highest floor available was the 29th, which shows they saw my note. Yet, upon check-in, I was assigned the lowest available floor, the 12th. I had to request a change again to get moved to the 18th floor – it's just speechless. And to top it off, I can overlook the lack of toothbrushes and toothpaste, but shouldn't a room at least come with two bottles of mineral water as standard? I know there's a water dispenser on every floor, but I'm a tourist. Do you expect me to carry a bottle around everywhere? There's a limit to how 'eco-friendly' one can be."

"My room wasn't facing the elevated highway, and the soundproofing was decent; I had a view of some greenery. It was great for solo travel; they gave me a king-size bed, so I could sleep on one half and put my belongings on the other. The common area upstairs was also very spacious. Perhaps the only issue was that the bathroom was tiny and low-ceilinged. As a 165cm tall woman, standing in the bathtub to shower, my head was already very close to the ceiling. The location is super convenient, and there are actually a lot of food options nearby. I'd definitely book this place again if I'm traveling alone."

"The hotel is located near Banqiao Station, which is quite convenient if you're traveling by High-Speed Rail or public transport. Overall, it's pretty good – the facilities are quite new and the soundproofing in the rooms is excellent. The only downside is that the breakfast ingredients were a bit subpar; the porridge wasn't hot, the noodles had a strong, unpleasant lard smell, and the fruit and tomatoes clearly weren't fresh."
