"I stayed at Hotel Villa Fontaine Grand Haneda Airport and had an excellent experience overall. It’s exactly what you would want from an airport hotel - convenient, comfortable, and stress-free. Location: The hotel is located in the Haneda Airport Garden complex and is directly connected to Terminal 3 via a covered walkway, making it extremely easy to find - just follow the signs and you can’t miss it. Despite being part of the airport, it’s about a 10-15 minute walk depending on your pace, which is still very manageable, especially with luggage. The convenience is a huge plus, particularly for early departures or late arrivals. Room: The rooms are modern, clean, and well-equipped with everything you need for a short stay. The environment is very quiet, which is impressive for an airport hotel, and made for a very restful night. Overall, the room quality exceeded my expectations. Service: Check-in and check-out are very efficient thanks to multiple self-service machines, but there is also a staffed front desk available if you need assistance. The staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions, which made the whole process smooth and welcoming. Facilities & Amenities: The hotel offers a range of facilities including a breakfast buffet and a spa/onsen, which is a great addition after a long flight. There are also plenty of restaurants and shops in the Haneda Airport Garden complex, so you have many dining options within walking distance. Overall: This hotel delivers everything you need for an airport stay: excellent location, clean and modern rooms, efficient service, and great amenities. I had a very pleasant stay and would definitely come back anytime I need to stay near Haneda Airport."

"An honest review, straight to the point 👇 The hotel is very small and mainly suitable just for sleeping, with no real comfort. The services are extremely limited: there is only a kettle for hot water. There is no microwave, no stove, and the fridge is very small and shared by the entire hostel, not private to the room, which is inconvenient especially for longer stays. In terms of comfort, the place is very basic and not suitable for anyone looking for proper facilities, cooking options, or a comfortable stay. That said, the one strong point is the location: it’s excellent and very close to markets and public transportation, which saves a lot of time and effort. Bottom line: If you’re on a tight budget and mainly care about location, it can work. If you want space, comfort, or real services, it’s better to look for another option."

"The location is very convenient, but the nearest subway exit doesn't have an elevator. You need to do your research beforehand, otherwise, you'll end up like me, rushing to catch a flight and taking the closest entrance, lugging your suitcase downstairs – it was exhausting. Within the Ginza area, shopping and dining are a breeze. Plus, if you walk towards Tsukiji, it's not the bustling Ginza at all; it's a very quiet neighborhood."

Hotel near Ikebukuro Commercial,Tokyo
The House Ikebukuro is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. The House Ikebukuro is an ideal choice for travelers who want to take in the sights and sounds of Tokyo. Traveling to the hotel is easy with Mejiro Station located approximately 1km away and Haneda Airport roughly 29km away. Just a short walk from Senkawa Metro Station, traveling to most city destinations is a breeze. There is no shortage of things to see in the area, with the Ikebukuro, Ikebukuro Nishi-guchi Park and Sunshine 60 Observatory Tenbo Park all nearby. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. According to our guests, the location of this hotel is one of the best around. This hotel is a popular accommodation for groups of friends traveling together.

"✨ A Hidden Gem in Ikebukero This place is a rare find in a great location. Depending on which metro line you take, it’s about a 10–15 min walk from the station (C1 exit). The street is quite narrow, so large vehicles can’t enter. If you’re taking a taxi or shuttle, you’ll need to get dropped off nearby. The reception staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We arrived early, and they allowed us to store our luggage safely—plenty of space provided. The accommodation runs on an AirBnB-style concept, with shared kitchen, bathrooms, and common areas. A washing machine is available for free use, and the dryer costs only 100 yen for 30 minutes. We booked a triple-sharing ensuite room with 3 futons, strong air-conditioning, and enough space to open our luggage comfortably. It’s cosy but perfect for three guests. Since it’s a shared-style accommodation, guests are encouraged to keep quiet and respect others. Overall, it’s simple, clean, and comfortable—great value if you’re looking for a home-like stay in the heart of Ikebukero."

The Shinjuku Washington Hotel is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. The Shinjuku Washington Hotel offers a pleasant stay in Tokyo for those traveling for business or leisure. Being just minutes away from Tochomae Metro Station allows guests to explore the city with ease. With multiple attractions nearby including Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building North Observation Deck, Kabukicho and NINJA+KABUKI TOKYO, guests will find plenty to keep themselves occupied. In their spare time, guests can explore the hotel's surroundings. This Tokyo hotel provides parking on site. For guests traveling with families, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.

"The hotel location is excellent, near Kyoto Hall, with many restaurants and supermarkets downstairs. The environment is comfortable, and facilities are comprehensive. I arrived around 8 PM that night and spent a while looking for the front desk, only to find it on the third floor. They offer both assisted and self-service check-in. The self-service machine has a Chinese option and requires a card payment for tax, then it automatically dispenses the room key card, which is very convenient. Check-out is at 11 AM; you just drop the key card into a large box in the morning. The hotel lobby provides complimentary items like face masks, cosmetics, and toothbrushes for guests. They also offer services such as a microwave, laundry room, and luggage storage. There's an airport shuttle bus downstairs, but you need to buy tickets in advance. WeChat Pay and Alipay are not supported; only cash or credit/debit cards are accepted. The hotel's downsides are that the room is too small, making it a bit inconvenient to fully open a large suitcase. It can also get quite lively with many guests. It's not particularly close to the subway, and a bit of a distance from Shinjuku Station."

GGuest UserReally enjoy my stay here, the location is unbeatable since it's walking distance to many metro lines, the staffs are very friendly and accommodating, the onsen is also very clean, the juice bar in the morning and bar in the evening were also great touches. There is only one elevator but I didn't find it to be a deal breaker, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

MmtmlCleaning is chargeable at 1.5k yen per clean. Otherwise no cleaning whatsoever - but they do give you new towels and a trash bag daily (hung on your door knob). Breakfast is pretty cute and homely - I liked it when I tried it at a different province, so I rebooked dormy inn. They have a luggage scale at level 2, so very convenient if you have been shopping like crazy. The shopping street around the area is pretty interesting, and I love uneo park. However, some pretty strange stuff during my stay: 1. They insisted on entering my room for an ”inspection” but didn't specify why. When I called to ask, they said it was a bedframe inspection. As a solo female traveler my preference is not to let random people into my room, especially if they're not going to clean after these external people enter, but reception said they couldn't wait until my stay was over a few days later. When I came back to the room, my blanket was shifted and untucked entirely from one side, and my electronics were moved around. 2. A bug appeared on my sink mirror, so I gave feedback to the hotel staff as mini bugs means there's more bugs, and suggested that they fumigate. They said ”oh... sorry” suddenly all proceeded to look away from me and pretend I didn't exist, which was super weird treatment, and very rude lol. I didn't even ask them to change my room, the point is that these bugs are likely to have infestations, and if I came back in another trip to this hotel, I would not like to see more. They didn't even bother asking me what floor I was on, so 100% they don't seem to have any intention of dealing with this. Very weird and poor behaviour - I think it was too much to expect Onyado Nono service in Dormy Inn, so I don't think I will come back.

There’s a FamilyMart, AEON, and many delicious and reasonably priced restaurants nearby. You can walk to Tobu Department Store every day for shopping. The hotel offers a welcome drink available anytime, and there is a separate onsen for men and women. In the evening at 6:00 PM, there is a free happy hour with drinks—perfect for alcohol lovers. My husband really loved it. The amenities are also of good quality. If I visit Japan again, I would definitely choose to stay here—the price is very reasonable too.

AAnonymous UserEvery time I visit Tokyo, I stay at this hotel, and the service is consistently great. My only recurring comment, which I've made before, is about the breakfast. It hasn't changed in years, not even the layout. I really hope the hotel can improve this and start offering eggs, whether boiled or fried.

GGuest UserShinjuku Granbell Hotel was my accommodation choice during this Tokyo Shinjuku trip. Part of the design-oriented Granbell chain, the hotel opened in 2013 and expanded with additional rooms in 2016. It has a modern and stylish vibe overall, making it a good fit for travelers who enjoy a bit of personality and contemporary feel. The rooms are decent—not particularly spacious (typical for central Tokyo hotels), but the design is pleasant and they come with Simmons mattresses, so the bed is comfortable to sleep in. What stands out is that the hotel has a very large number of rooms (reportedly over 400 in total), making it a mid-to-large-scale property. Check-in can occasionally feel a bit busy in the lobby due to the volume of guests, but operations run smoothly. Room types are quite varied, from standard doubles to loft-style rooms, offering good flexibility when booking. Location is one of the more debated aspects of this hotel. It is very close to the heart of Shinjuku—right inside Kabukicho—so you’re surrounded by endless restaurants, izakayas, convenience stores, drugstores, and nightlife. Walking distance covers popular spots like Korean Town in Okubo or Golden Gai, which makes evening strolls and late-night eating extremely convenient. However, if you rely on the subway, the nearest station (Higashi-Shinjuku) is about a 4-minute walk (official figure), but to reach the major hubs like JR Shinjuku Station or Shinjuku-sanchome Station, it usually takes around 15 minutes on foot (depending on your exact route, and sometimes you have to navigate through the lively Kabukicho crowds). For someone who enjoys walking, it’s manageable, but dragging large luggage or walking in the rain might feel a bit inconvenient. In short, the location is highly central and vibrant, but it’s not quite “step out the door and you’re at the station” level. Room cleanliness is acceptable—daily housekeeping is thorough, with bathrooms, bedding, and floors kept in good condition, and no noticeable odors or mess. Everything feels clean and comfortable enough for a pleasant stay, but there is nothing particularly outstanding about it. The decor follows a simple modern style, facilities are standard (free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, fridge, etc.), and while functional, it doesn’t wow you. Bathrooms are on the small side (normal for Tokyo), but hot water is reliable and usage is fine. They also offer free loan of air purifiers or humidifiers, which is a nice small touch. Other minor highlights include the rooftop terrace (great for night views or a drink on clear evenings), a café, and a bar with decent atmosphere. Breakfast is an additional charge, but with so many dining options nearby, skipping the hotel breakfast is never an issue. In summary, Shinjuku Granbell Hotel isn’t a top-tier luxury property, but if you’re looking for a lively Shinjuku location, moderate design appeal, clean and practical rooms, and surroundings full of energy and food options at a mid-range budget, it’s a solid and pragmatic choice. The large number of rooms means availability tends to be reliable. While the walk to major stations takes about 15 minutes, for anyone wanting to fully immerse in Shinjuku’s nightlife and buzz, that actually becomes an advantage. Overall value for money is above average. Recommended for first-time Shinjuku visitors who want a fun, convenient, and comfortable base without breaking the bank!

CCN_NanaThe facility was great in general. Except you cant stay over the day its just for sleeping, showering and then you can leave it ln daytime, leave your stuff, as they clean and restrict the sleeping area. Otherwise it was kind of an all inclusive experience and did have a clean and nice washroom, as well as all round service. But it was a bit loud in the morning, the cleaning stuff rummages around exactly in front of the bed, talking, making noise cleaining beds 2 hours before check out.

BBep SumangIt was a nice experience staying at Hotel Centurion Ueno. The location is very convenient, with train stations nearby and a convenience store just across the lot. There are also several restaurants in the area, as well as easy access to Ueno Park, Ueno Zoo, and the Ameyoko street market. The room is small but can accommodate two average-built persons. Although the hotel was under renovation at the time, overall it was still an awesome stay, and I give it a 👍👍.
