My wife and I really like this hotel. It's best asset is it's location, just a few short steps away from the beautiful Houhai lake waterfront. Eventhough it's so close to the lively waterfront, it is still set back far enough to be completely quiet at night. We also liked the modern facilities combining contemporary design with traditional Chinese influences. The hotel itself is very new and all facilities are newly installed. The young staff are also very helpful and enthusiastic. Bonus is the pair of plump cats that grace the reception area, and carefully inspect each guest! However, my only concern with this hotel is the other cats who are kept in cages in a side building. I hope the management will allow them more space to roam. Other than this concern, we like this hotel a lot, and will return here whenever we are back in Beijing.

The hotel property is a renovated ancient building with a history of four hundred years. The courtyard dates back to the 31st year of the Wanli reign period. This mansion is the predecessor of the hotel. The charm of Beijing's architecture is on full display throughout the courtyard and the lobby, with carved beams and painted rafters, upturned eaves and bracket sets, reminiscent of the prosperity of a noble mansion in bygone days. The winding covered corridors run from north to south, the wooden carved decorations exude a pure and authentic texture, and the grey brick pavement provides a stable and grounded feel, leading to the depths of the courtyard in a meandering path.

Each room is (standardly equipped with) an intelligent toilet. The bathrooms feature high-end toiletries from POLA, a brand favored by the Japanese royal family, and dense, misty rainforest showerheads. The hotel is also equipped with a sunroom, a book bar, a café, and more, allowing guests to enjoy the scenic views of old Beijing hutong courtyards while relaxing.

A wide variety of Beijing-style delicacies and pastries are available, including fried sauce noodles, ruyi wontons, hutouzi (a type of pancake), shaobing with meat filling, aiwowowo (a sweet glutinous rice dumpling), fried crispy snacks, hawthorn cake, and more.
[Highlight of the Courtyard]
The hotel integrates local characteristics into its design and experience, naturally combining business travel with leisure travel attributes. The location is excellent—close to the train station and within walking distance of major tourist attractions, making it very convenient for sightseeing. 4 star hotel and 5 star service. Hotel located at Wangfujing walking street and just next to one of MRT station “金鱼胡同站“. Breakfast excellent will a lot of choices. Hotel also have free laundry service. Staff service was excellent.
I booked this hotel as it's very well located between the two airports and very well deserved by the tube in a very nice neighbourhood where you can truly see the everyday life of lovely Chinese people. Following the initial booking for a very nice room, there was an issue and tye management were so professional that they upgraded me for free to the executive suits which was absolutely stunning and beautiful and outstanding views of the whole city at the top floor. The room was spacious, and bathrooms were breathtaking. The management were very nice to me every time and even though they didn't speak English they were always trying to help. The hotel is located around many shops, restaurants and two Hugh malls located around changyiang metro which is direct to forbidden city and tianmen Square. I must admit that I stayed in the last few days but I ended up staying over 5 days because all the rooms are very large, with beautiful views and the breakfast is also very good. The overall impression is that Chinese management is always trying to help you. So, like me, if you are from Europe, do not book a Western brand and be courageous to book a Chinese hotel and experience their kindness and good hearth. I will give top grading to this hotel and will recommend it highly to all my European tourists.

I found the Grand Concordia Hotel to be a solid and well-rounded five-star property that caters effectively to both business and leisure travelers. Located in Beijing’s Chaoyang district, the hotel combines traditional elegance with practical amenities, making it particularly suitable for official visits, business travel, and longer stays. 📍 Location & Accessibility From my experience, the hotel’s location on Xiaoyun Road in Chaoyang District is one of its key strengths. Being close to several embassies, commercial offices, and popular areas such as Sanlitun and Solana made getting around relatively convenient. While it is not in the immediate city-center tourist zone, I found transport straightforward, with taxis readily available and metro access within walking distance. This location worked especially well for business-related commitments and appointments. 🛏️ Rooms & Comfort The room I stayed in was spacious, clean, and comfortable, offering a calm and private environment after a busy day. The bed was particularly comfortable, and I appreciated the well-thought-out lighting and overall room layout. Amenities such as reliable Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and a minibar added to the sense of convenience. That said, I did notice that some elements of the room décor and technology felt slightly dated. While everything functioned well, a refresh in certain areas would further elevate the overall experience. Nonetheless, the room met my expectations for comfort and cleanliness. 🍽️ Dining & Facilities The hotel offers a good range of on-site dining options, and I found the breakfast buffet to be varied and well-organized. The café and lounge areas provide comfortable spaces for informal meetings or relaxing in the evening. I also made use of the fitness and leisure facilities, including the gym and swimming pool, which were well maintained and easy to access. In addition, the hotel’s extensive meeting and event spaces clearly make it well suited for conferences, corporate functions, and formal gatherings. 🤝 Service & Staff Service throughout my stay was professional and courteous. Staff at reception and guest services were attentive and helpful, particularly during check-in and with general inquiries. While there were occasional minor communication challenges, these did not significantly impact my stay and were handled with patience and professionalism. 📊 Overall Value & Impression Overall, I felt that the Grand Concordia Hotel offers strong value, especially for business travelers or guests with embassy-related or professional engagements in Chaoyang. Its strengths lie in its location, room size, cleanliness, and comprehensive facilities. Although certain aspects of the hotel would benefit from modernization, the overall experience was comfortable, reliable, and well managed. 📌 Who I Would Recommend It For I would recommend this hotel for: • Business and diplomatic travelers • Guests seeking spacious rooms and full hotel facilities • Longer stays where comfort and practicality matter It may be less ideal if: • You are looking for a highly modern or boutique-style hotel • You want to be within walking distance of major tourist attractions • ⭐ Final Thoughts From my perspective, the Grand Concordia Hotel delivers a dependable and comfortable stay with a strong focus on service and functionality. While there is room for modernization, the hotel succeeds in providing a professional, well-maintained, and welcoming environment. I would consider staying here again, particularly for business or extended visits in Beijing.
I love this hotel GRAND MiLLlENIUM very nice bed clean ..I full sleeping ..breakfast food olso nice many menu to eat..room view city .i sleeping this hotel many time always I booking this hotel…
