MOS HOTEL HAIKOU

The hotel is well-equipped and sanitary. The whole hotel is a combination of green and brown, which is more modern and Nanyang style. The room is quite smart, the tatami is very comfortable, and the full-length mirror is also very popular. In addition to mineral water, the room is also equipped with two large bottles of distilled water, and there are also several bottles of drinks in the minibar, so we don’t need to buy water separately when we go out to play. We came during the Dragon Boat Festival and stayed for two days. There was no premium, which was really conscientious! The hotel provides free breakfast, which is more exquisite. The staple food has changed for two days, and the snacks are similar. In addition, the freshly cooked Hainan noodles and Yi noodles are very fresh. The manager also told us that we can take away coconut water for free. There is a free laundry room and gym on the seventh floor. If you stay for a few more days, you can really come to run.

Mission Hills Resort Haikou

9.4/10

The hotel is about a 25-minute drive from Haikou East Railway Station. It is a large resort mainly designed for golf visitors. The hot spring pools are located very close to the hotel building and stay open until 11 p.m. The breakfast starts as early as 6 a.m., which is convenient for early risers or guests catching a morning flight. The location is not very convenient, as the nearest shopping mall is about a 20-minute drive away. We booked a room for three adults, but the hotel only provided two complimentary entries to the hot spring pools. The third guest had to pay 88 RMB. Since the booking clearly included three adults, it would have been a nice gesture for the hotel to extend complimentary access for all three. Overall, it’s a spacious resort with enjoyable hot springs.

Weather in Haikou was a little gloomy, but Erin went out of her way to make our stay pleasant and enjoyable. She was readily available on WeChat to answer my queries and gave me good recommendations on how to best spend my time in Haikou. Overall the hotel was also comfortable, and I love that there is an indoor kids playground which my daughter had so much fun in, and also that it’s close to the beach! The buffet breakfast every morning also served up a good spread, but their international dinner buffet was the best!

Hilton Haikou

The Hilton hotel is a very busy hotel, but they have relatively good service. Check in was efficient and I could go to my room even though I checked in before 1pm. So thank you for that, when I went to my room there was a bad sewer smell in the hall, but housekeeping got an air purifier installed in The hallway and that smell was gone for the rest of the stay. The room was clean, bed soft and view lovely. The hotel is a little off from the main attractions of Qilou old street/ century bridge but a short didi ride brought me to those locations in no time. Breakfast was delicious but had a small variety. The breakfast time is very busy make sure to check the little note at the front desk, I didn’t see it and went at the busiest time of breakfast rush. I had a nice stay here only thing to complain about is, the hand wash/ lotion is placed so far away from the sink, I had to squeeze myself between the tub to go and get some after a shower. Thanks for the good stay, happy new year 🐍
