A lovely hotel and spa. It is very close to the airport and has a shuttle service leaving every 30 minutes. Fine dining restaurant and great breakfast. There is a natural swimming pool, be sure to go for a dip!

Thank you so much for accommodating me. Great room and spacious. Comfortable bed and the room has a kitchen, which was great. I was assisted by this other staff member that worked there, a short guy, I didn't catch his name, but he was so helpful and nice. He helped me carry my bags when I arrived, to my room and he helped me carry my bags to my friend's car when I checked out. Excellent service from him.

Excellent location first of all, the room is nice, clean and modern. Washing machine is a bonus and detergent provided. I’ve stayed many times and would recommend ✌️

The hotel is in a very good location. Table Mountain is right in front of you when you look out the window. The restaurant on the first floor has delicious food and live jazz music. It is very convenient to use Uber to go to various attractions.

Ceiling of Simon's Town Hotel The hotel is located on a hill opposite Penguin Beach. You can see the endless sea from any corner of the room. It's great. The owner and hotel staff are very friendly. As long as you ask, they will try their best to meet the guests' requirements. We just saw that the owner arranged a surprise for her elderly husband on their wedding anniversary. I was so moved. The owner was so thoughtful. It left me with a very good impression. It's great. The room and bathroom are quite spacious and clean. There is no shortage of supplies. Although the breakfast is not as varied as in big hotels, the portion is sufficient and well-prepared. Very good. As I have booked a lot of trips, I regret that I could not stay a few more nights. I will definitely come back and stay for a week next time. I highly recommend Simon's Town Magellan Hotel.

The Point Break Apartment Hotel in Cape Town is a fantastic option for those looking for both comfort and convenience. Located just a short walk from the V&A Waterfront, you're right in the heart of the action, with easy access to great pubs, restaurants, and shops. The apartment itself was spacious, offering a cozy atmosphere with a balcony, sofa, and kitchenette – perfect for preparing meals or just relaxing after a busy day of exploring. With amenities like free WiFi, a TV, and a refrigerator, it felt like a home away from home. The best part was the combination of reasonable pricing and high-quality service. Overall, I had an amazing stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Cape Town.

Pros Great location - a short drive to the waterfront and close to Table Mountain, Lions Head and the Botanical Garden where Uber will get you there quickly and for a good price. Staff were very good Breakfast was cooked very well and with good quality ingredients and a varied selection. It would be better if they had soft bread rather than the heavier one provided (althouh this could be a more European variety i havent come across before). The room was homely, as is the whole building (a bit of a British Grade 2 listed building kind of feel). Nice views over capetown in some rooms and a mountain view from the back. Room has heating and air con for all seasons. Cons As mentioned in a previous review, the room is quite dusty so if you are messing around with plugs behind the bed or tv, it's a challenge not to breathe in the dust. I think this could be a SA thing rather than the hotel itself but they only provide 1.5l of water which for a week is not enough, even for a solo traveller. You have to pay for any more. I have never come across this in 25 years of travel across 35 countries but again, i know there is a water issue in SA sometimes and I believe the tap water is drinkable (although I wouldn't attempt this as a tourist). Bathroom towels not replaced - just left to dry which doesn't work particularly well in winter. The photo of the hotel being near blue water is a little deceptive - obviously it is not near a beach and they don't suggest so but the body of water across the road is a water storage facility (currently empty) so don't expect tropical views. Having said that, if you get a city view room, the sunrise is right in front of you and a perfect time lapse opportunity as the scenery changes dramatically during the sunrise. Stunning experience. Overall, I would stay again and recommend the hotel which is in a quiet location.

We visited the hotel in January 2026. We loved everything, the studio room with a balcony was absolutely top-notch! 🔥 The location is convenient, and there's parking available. The only downside was that the washing machine in our room wasn't working, and we constantly had to ask for access to a laundry room, which was a bit annoying. Also, a rather unpleasant incident was being charged 350 for a stained sheet. This was purely accidental due to unavoidable feminine circumstances...

Old house converted to a hostel, but very homy for me. Nice amenities. Had a comfortable night even if it's located beside party places.

Great place. Amazing amenities. Wonderful location right opposite Canal Walk. Could do with an AC. Should have a reception at 9 palms, not having to go to the Crystal Towers to collect keys. Wifi password should be given to guests at check in
