Scenic Hotels in Sapporo

"For my trip to Sapporo, I chose to stay at the Prince Hotel. It's an older, established Japanese hotel with standard rooms that are typical of traditional Japanese hotel specifications. The location is convenient, situated at the end of Odori Park, and just a 400-meter walk from the subway station. The hotel also offers a shuttle bus service to Sapporo Station. From the hotel, it departs on the half-hour, but you need to book in advance at the front desk in the morning. From Sapporo Station, it departs on the hour, with the last bus at 7 PM. You can find it right next to the bus stop outside Sapporo Station, and the hotel's logo is on the bus. If you have a lot of luggage, you can also take the airport limousine bus directly from Sapporo Airport to the hotel entrance for 1500 JPY (cash per person), which is very convenient. However, for the return trip, there are only two buses to the airport daily, at 9:38 AM and 10:38 AM. We missed them on our way back, so we booked the hotel shuttle to Sapporo Station and took the JR train to the airport, which was also very easy! The hotel has a paid onsen (hot spring) on the second floor; guests can pay at the front desk to use it. We arrived back at the hotel too late each night to try it, but I'd definitely like to experience it next time!😆"

"The hotel is conveniently located in the international arrivals hall. After exiting, turn right, walk past the Lawson convenience store, and continue straight to the end. Take the elevator to the fourth floor, and you'll arrive at the hotel lobby. They offered a welcome drink during check-in. The room was spacious and even offered a view of the planes. The soundproofing was excellent. There's only one smoking room on the fourth floor, which you pass by on the way to the hot spring. The hot spring area has a large pool, which I suspect isn't a natural hot spring, a cold plunge pool, and a sauna, but no outdoor hot spring. Overall, it was a great experience, perfect for those with an early morning flight the next day or anyone arriving after a long journey looking to recharge. I especially loved the slippers in the room; they definitely deserve a thumbs up!"

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great value for money and spacious rooms! While it might not be in the absolute most central location, we really enjoyed our stay here. It is very easy to find, just a quick walk past 2 junctions after exiting the JR Station. The room was much more spacious than typical Japanese hotels, which was a wonderful surprise. Everything was exceptionally clean and the overall experience was fantastic. It offers excellent value for money (性价比高). We had a very happy and comfortable stay here!"

"This hotel is super conveniently located right behind Sapporo JR Station, a short walk from the North Exit towards Hokkaido University. Hokkaido University itself is just across the street diagonally, and there's a FamilyMart, 7-Eleven, Lawson, and even a Hokkaido convenience store nearby – couldn't ask for more convenience! The area around Sapporo Station is also great for shopping and dining. You can grab all sorts of popular souvenirs, cakes, and desserts from Daimaru department store and bring them right back to the hotel to enjoy at your leisure! The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. However, if you add an extra bed to a double room to make it a triple, there's not much space left to walk around once you open a large suitcase. The hotel breakfast was definitely up to standard. While the variety wasn't huge, the food tasted great. The roasted beef, desserts, vegetables, and steamed potatoes were all excellent, and they even had slight variations each day, which was a nice touch! Self-service luggage storage was also very convenient. I'd definitely stay here again next time I'm in Sapporo!"

"The hotel is just a few hundred meters from the city center, and Tanukikoji shopping street is also very close. It's very quiet at night, so you can get a good night's sleep. The breakfast is good and worth the price. The hotel facilities are complete, and it's clean and hygienic."

"Stayed in a room with a Ferris wheel view [laughing emoji]. Everyone visiting Sapporo should stay at this hotel directly above Susukino Station! The only minor inconvenience is that the lobby is on the 7th floor of the shopping mall, but otherwise, it's perfect [grinning emoji]. There are two Don Quijote stores nearby, and all major shopping malls are within a 15-minute walk. Tanukikoji shopping street is a guaranteed 5-minute walk (even with waiting for traffic lights). Plus, there are plenty of 24-hour restaurants around the hotel."

"The hotel isn't far from Sapporo Station; it's about a 5-6 minute walk straight ahead after turning right out of the South Exit. Both check-in and check-out are done via self-service machines. The room was a bit smaller than expected, but everything else was fine. Housekeeping seems to be every two days; they cleaned our room on the second day, but not on the third even though we put out the sign. However, they did leave fresh towels and yukata outside the door. For phone charging, you can either bring your own USB adapter or get one from the front desk. Breakfast is a relatively simple Western style, but I'd still recommend booking it because finding places to eat around there can be tricky, and you usually have to wait for a table if you dine in. Eating at the hotel lets you head straight out to explore afterward. We didn't use the large public bath. Free drinks and snacks are available in the second-floor breakfast area after 3 PM. Also, it gets quite cool in Hokkaido in the mornings and evenings, so I recommend bringing a light windbreaker; a sun-protective jacket might not be enough."

"A renowned 5 ⭐️ hotel conveniently connected to the Sapporo JR station within 10 mins straight stroll. The Daimaru shopping mall 🛒🛍️ is situated right above for tax free retail shopping. The hotel looked 👀 grand & posh, & bit pricey, probably because it coincided with the Sapporo Snow & Ice Festival ⛄️❄️🧊 which is within short walk to Odori Park. With special access to the Club floor privileges, we enjoyed additional pampering F&B indulgence 🍷🧀🦐 . The hotel room is big & spacious but the overall facilities & decor are a bit nostalgic. The service is good👌 Sadly not much nightlife in this area, in comparison to Susukino area which comes to life @ night with more oishi eateries & great shopping 🛒 🛍️"

"The room was very quiet, with ample spacing between rooms. The hotel breakfast was a delightful surprise—Japanese-style—with fresh sashimi, sweet shrimp, tempura, seafood rice bowls, and more, all served early in the morning. Refills were prompt, and the staff were quick and efficient in attending to each guest in an orderly manner. Additionally, there's an airport bus stop just 100 to 200 meters from the hotel, directly opposite Abest Hotel."

"This hotel is in a great location in central Sapporo, just opposite the Old Red Brick Government Building. Daimaru is only a 10-minute walk away, while Tanukikoji Shopping Street (Susukino) is around 15–20 minutes away on foot. You can walk directly between Odori Park and Susukino. Useful facilities include private parking, a laundry room, and a microwave for heating food. We had a pleasant and convenient stay here."
