Amazing
GGuest UserSeven years ago, I stayed at a hotel directly across from Jozankei. While strolling nearby, I took a picture of a ryokan because its exterior was so beautiful. By chance, I ended up booking that very ryokan and came here. Not only the exterior, but the interior was also more stunning than I could have imagined. From the lobby to the hallways and lounges, everything has a delicate yet ideal design, and the room was so much to my liking that I felt like I could live there. I've stayed in countless hotels over the years, but this one was the best. The only slight disappointment was that I didn't find the kaiseki particularly delicious. Personally, I can't recall anything special about it besides the shrimp. However, the breakfast was great as it offered a wide variety of options. I definitely plan to revisit in the future.

AAnonymous UserLocation: If you couldn't book the hotel's free shuttle or the Kappa Liner bus, you can take rapid bus #7 or #8 from Sapporo city center to Daiichi Hotel Mae, and the hotel is right there. There's also a bus to Sapporo Ski Resort that stops at the same platform. Room Amenities: The room was clean, tidy, and very spacious, and it even had its own private hot spring bath. I booked a package that included breakfast and dinner. The food was just okay, but there was a self-service bar and some snacks.

JjaneshiluI booked this hotel three months in advance. Taking the bus from Sapporo directly to Shiraishi Waterfall Station was much more convenient than taking the subway and then finding a shuttle. The hotel was meticulously cleaned, and we waited until 3:30 PM for check-in. The buffet dinner was good, but the breakfast wasn't as lavish as at The Windsor Hotel Toya. We caught a heavy snowfall, and soaking in the outdoor onsen was amazing. There was a harp performance, and the surrounding area was also nice to explore.

SSunida OunstanonThe stay at this hotel exceeded all expectations. The property is clean and beautifully designed, the room is spacious with a stunning view, and the service is truly 100/10. The food is delicious, and the hotel offers all-you-can-eat drinks, snacks, and refreshments throughout the day at the lounge. There is also a private hot spring available (additional 3,300 yen), as well as a complimentary shared hot spring, both of which are absolutely wonderful. I’ll come back here agian.

MMangFuThe day we arrived, it was snowing heavily, and the scenery was absolutely stunning! I recommend taking the Kappa Bus a bit earlier and arriving before 2 PM. You can drop off your luggage at the hotel and then take a scenic walk to Futami Park, enjoying all the beautiful sights along the way. Grab some shumai for a late-night snack before heading back to check in and enjoy all the hotel's amenities. Haha. When you check in, you can ask the front desk if there are any seats left on the free shuttle bus back to Sapporo Station for the next day or a future date. I asked Ctrip to book it for me, and they quickly replied that there were no seats available, but when we asked in person, we got some! You can also book your breakfast time and a window seat at the same time. The ramen at 10 PM isn't too busy. I suggest going for a private onsen bath on the first floor around 9 PM, then a massage, and after that, the ramen and ice cream hit just right. Overall, this hotel is beautifully designed everywhere 🤩

TTianjinglidexiongThis is probably the ”top-tier entry-level” choice for a Japanese-style hot spring hotel. It's full of Japanese charm, with an outdoor real hot spring bath… Aside from the slightly dated facilities, it's impeccable! 🎀 On the day of check-in, the only English-speaking bartender in the entire hotel came out to help, providing detailed explanations of the hotel's features – very stylish! 👍 The room is huge, with a bathroom right next to the entrance and a full cypress wood bathtub; the outdoor natural spring is also made of cypress wood. 👀 Even on a summer night without snow, it was still very chill. 🦋 They even gave us two sets of designer toiletries…so thoughtful! 🥰 The kaiseki dinner cost at least a third of the room rate! ✌️ The kaiseki meal was presented in a clear progression from light to dark, from appetizers to sashimi, Wagyu beef…and finished with dessert. 💕 The arrangements were impeccable, each dish had its own distinct flavor; the chef is truly skilled! 👍 The breakfast the next day was a bit bland… Compared to Santei, this club is less crowded, more expensive, and has luxurious decor in the public areas and comfortable private onsen. Santei's public areas are more basic, but the private onsen in the room, although smaller, is entirely made of cypress wood and offers a better view. 💕 The kaiseki cuisine seems about the same? The price for a one-night stay with two meals is significantly lower… I still recommend Santei more! 🥃

MM20185****This hotel is quite affordable for Jozankei, though it doesn't have private onsen. The hotel itself is a bit old, but the rooms are spacious enough. Booking the bus from Sapporo to Jozankei was convenient, and we saw many Japanese seniors staying there. The breakfast and dinner buffets offered a good variety of fruits and vegetables, and everything was pretty tasty. It was also very convenient for my trip to Sapporo Kokusai Ski Resort. Recommended!

DDuijiedechenxianshengA few issues: The front desk staff's service was quite mediocre; their demeanor visibly changed when they saw a Chinese passport. To cut labor costs, the hotel has hired many staff from South Asian countries, which significantly impacts service efficiency and awareness! The hot spring water always felt a bit under temperature! The hotel opened in 1985, so the facilities are very old. If you're not a fan of traditional old Japanese ryokans, I wouldn't recommend it! Everything else was just so-so.

GGuest User”Renovated (uneven), great onsen, convenient location” Most of the hotel’s facilities were recently renovated, so they felt new and beautiful. However, only some of the rooms had been updated. Our room was older—not too old, but slightly disappointing compared to the pretty new lobby. That said, it was clean. Our room was near several Chinese tourists who often talked in the corridor, but it was quiet at night. Buffet dinner and breakfast were included. The food was okay—good compared to other countries, but average compared to other Japanese hotels. The onsen was excellent, with multiple pools at different temperatures, including cold baths and an open-air onsen (though partially enclosed due to the hotel’s location). There was a lounge area with free soft drinks and massage chairs before entering the onsen. A table tennis area was also available, though in the basement and a bit hot, so we didn’t play. The reception spoke limited English but tried their best to communicate. There was also a self-service coffee machine in the lobby with a lounge area to relax. The hotel’s location was very convenient: close to the bus stop, with convenience stores nearby. During our summer visit, the illumination event was walkable from the hotel.

よてぃこThe buffet had a variety of options and was delicious. I was able to eat a lot of crab, which was great. There was a TV in the bathroom in the room. The pool and hot springs were great. If you're afraid of heights, the elevator might be scary... I'll post a photo, even though it's not very photogenic.
