"Stayed at STREAM Hotel in Sapporo for three nights and it was incredibly comfortable. The location is excellent, with the hotel situated from the 7th floor upwards in a shopping complex. Downstairs, there's a supermarket, mall, restaurants, and a subway station. Right outside is Sapporo's most bustling commercial street, with famous department stores, Tanukikoji Shopping Street, and Odori Park all nearby. We booked an executive room on the 16th floor, which was spacious and included access to the hot springs and executive lounge for dining. We also had the option to enjoy breakfast at the executive breakfast area on the 18th floor. The room was clean, the bedding comfortable, and the toiletries were high-quality. Very satisfied overall."

With a stay at The Centurion Sauna Rest & Stay Sapporo Male Only in Sapporo (Sapporo City Centre), you'll be a 4-minute walk from Tanukikoji Shopping Street and 7 minutes by foot from Odori Park. This capsule hotel is 0.6 mi (1 km) from Nijo Market and 0.6 mi (1 km) from Nakajima Park. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, laundry facilities, and an elevator. Make yourself at home in one of the 254 guestrooms.

"I initially thought that staying in a hostel/capsule hotel like this would be a terrible experience, but it turned out to be surprisingly good. Of course, I booked it because it was cheap. During the peak season of the Snow Festival, it was significantly cheaper, even half the price of other regular hotels. So, even if the experience was bad, I could tolerate it, but it actually wasn't. Plus, I got to experience the local (northern) sauna culture, which was quite new for me, a southerner. First, let's talk about the location. It's a straight five-minute walk from Susukino Station, and there's also a city tram stop right outside, so transportation is very convenient. Personally, I recommend taking the airport bus because you don't have to drag your luggage so far. In Susukino, it's naturally convenient for dining and shopping. There's a convenience store just across the street downstairs, basically solving most of your needs. There are 4.5 floors of hotel accommodation, with over a hundred beds on each floor. When I went, it was the peak season of the Snow Festival, but the occupancy rate seemed to be only about half, so there weren't that many people near your bed. There might be occasional noise, but guests from all over the world are generally well-behaved and consciously control their volume during quiet hours. So, staying here is pretty much like a school dorm. If you can accept a school dorm, then this place should be fine too. After staying, I realized that this place is essentially a three-in-one: accommodation is capsule (hostel) + internet cafe. You buy a bed, and the public area provides basic entertainment like comics. Showering is in a Japanese public bathhouse, which also has hot spring pools and a sauna area. I recommend that those who haven't been before should learn about the customs and etiquette in advance. The dining area is similar to an izakaya, operating from evening until 1 AM, offering basic staple foods and some drinks. The overall facilities and services are quite comprehensive, and I didn't feel any inconvenience during my four or five-day stay. If you think the bed is expensive, there's a sneaky trick (prerequisite: you need to understand Japanese and the billing rules). You can use it like a Japanese public bathhouse, just like the locals do. Go in and select the 'day trip' (日帰り) option on the machine. Sometimes, the final bill will be cheaper than booking a bed. However, the downside is that you won't have a bed, and you'll have to find a place to spend the night in the dining area or public lounge on the 7th floor. If there are too many people, you might not find a place to rest. So, judge for yourselves. This trick is recommended for those who are more familiar with Japan. Before staying, I saw some reviews mentioning two concerns, and now I'll address them based on my actual experience: First, female staff passing through the changing area outside the bathhouse. I did encounter this two or three times. I guess the front desk and dining staff took the stairs to the dining area to save elevator waiting time. They also tried to keep their heads down and avoid looking, so I personally don't mind. If you do, then I suggest you consider not staying here. Second, the air conditioning is kept at 18-20 degrees Celsius (64-68°F), which was perfect for me. After all, it's below zero outdoors, and too large a temperature difference can be uncomfortable."

"My flight was cancelled and so was forced to stay in a hotel near the airport. This hotel is not only convenient but it is also equipped with an onsen that is clean and tidy. The room itself is big and most of the fixtures are still very new and showing very minimal signs of tear and wear. The only complaint I would have is to include more variety of seafood options and serve a seafood don. Quite surprise that there is none of those offered in Hokkaido where seafood is so popular and famous. Other than that, nothing to complaint"

"Great location and excellent service! The location is highly convenient, especially since Exit 15 connects Sapporo Station directly to the hotel. The staff was incredibly accommodating; they allowed us to store our luggage at the concierge overnight between our stays. When we checked in for the second time, we were thrilled to find they had already delivered our bags straight to our room. While the first room was typical for a Japanese hotel, our second room was noticeably more spacious. We could easily open our luggage in the corner and still have plenty of room to walk around."

"Stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights. The location is excellent, right between Tanukikoji 1 and 2. There’s a FamilyMart downstairs, while McDonald’s, a bookstore, and drugstores are just across the street, making everything very convenient. The hotel lounge offers free coffee and tea, which was a nice touch. I would skip the breakfast. The selection was limited, and some of the fish didn’t taste very fresh and was quite dry, so it wasn’t worth paying extra for."

The breakfast selection is quite extensive for a business hotel, and it tastes great, even offering Sapporo ramen."

"This hotel's facilities and ambiance couldn't possibly be bad, given the price point. Let's talk about the less satisfactory aspects. We weren't allowed to even wait in the hotel lobby before check-in time. I totally understand not being able to access the room before then, but not being able to enter the lobby was a bit puzzling. Although the staff did make an exception for us to use the restroom in the lobby, it was still quite awkward because my friend took a bit longer in the restroom, and a staff member came to tell us we couldn't linger there. Also, both breakfast and dinner were Kaiseki meals. While exquisitely presented, it just wasn't to our taste. However, the hotel's hot spring and surroundings are truly excellent, and the rooms are very new. The self-service drinks in the hotel lobby were delicious, especially the blueberry juice – that really left an impression."

This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling with families.

"Location is excellent, right amongst the main shopping malls, seafood markets, restaurants and commercial streets. You can see the TV tower from some of the rooms and the rooftop barbecue site. The check-in process is however painfully slow. The staff forgot to give us water (supposedly one would receive one bottle per night per person at the reception). The room card we received was also not working... The room albeit clean and tidy was rather barebone and small. It's quite rare nowadays to have a hotel of this pricing not to offer a TV. The breakfast was also very simple. 4 types of crepes. And some very limited choices of food items. I would recommend this hotel to people looking for a quick resting spot with easy access to main visiting spots and having no high requirements for hotel amenities."

The hotel is located in the heart of Sapporo, just a ten-minute walk from the JR station, making it super convenient for shopping and sightseeing. The front desk staff were very friendly, and the rooms were clean and tidy. We booked a triple family room, and the beds were on the larger side for a Japanese hotel, giving our family of three plenty of space to relax. A particularly nice touch was the hotel restaurant offering complimentary tea, coffee, and other beverages. It was wonderful to sit down and rest our feet after a day of exploring. Considering the location, environment, and room type, it offers excellent value for money."
