What Travelers Said About the Best Hotels in Sapporo

Amazing
JJiaoxilaoshiThis is by far the best onsen hotel I've ever stayed in! It's located around Jozankei town, with a shuttle bus service from Sapporo, making it very private and quiet. The room is spacious enough, and the private onsen is excellent – my skin felt so smooth after a soak. The bedding was comfortable, and the pillows were quite high-tech. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered a healing view of the snowy landscape, and if you're lucky, you might even spot a raccoon! The service was top-notch, patient and enthusiastic. I have to rave about the food at this hotel; the Italian dinner was incredible, every dish was superb, using seasonal local ingredients and beautifully presented. After dinner, you can even take some rice balls, desserts, and drinks back to your room. The hotel has a smoking room and vending machines, so you don't have to worry about going hungry. I'd love to come back again in the summer if I get the chance.

HHaidawayGood hotel which located near the Sapporo station. I stayed there for 6D5N and it was snowing for a couple of days. So staying near the subway and APIA was important to us. There’s a public Onsen bath and open lounge for guests so it was good. A couple of downside was that there was some smell in the washroom, not sure if from the gutter or bathtub. And another thing was that the bedsheet was a bit uncomfortable compared to other Keio hotel. All in all a decent hotel for any tourists that wanted to stayed in central Sapporo area.

RReneeglobeMy stay at **HOTEL FROZA SAPPORO STATION** was absolutely delightful and perfect for a solo traveller. The hotel is in a **great location**, just a few minutes’ walk from **JR Sapporo Station**, which makes it super convenient for getting around the city and exploring nearby attractions. There are also plenty of restaurants, cafés, and shops close by, so everything you need is within easy reach. The **room was clean, cozy, and well-designed**, ideal for a solo guest. It had everything I needed — comfortable bed, spotless bathroom, and practical amenities like a kettle and charging ports. The atmosphere felt peaceful and safe, making it great for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The **hotel staff were friendly, professional, and very helpful**, always greeting guests with warm smiles and offering assistance when needed. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy, which I really appreciated. Overall, HOTEL FROZA SAPPORO STATION offers an excellent balance of comfort, location, and service. It’s a fantastic choice for solo travellers looking for convenience and a clean, quiet place to stay near JR Sapporo. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city alone!

GGuest UserDear Sir/Madam, I hope this message finds you well. I would like to share a small concern regarding my experience at the front desk on March 1, in the hope that it may be helpful for your future service considerations. After checking out from another hotel, we planned a 2‑day, 1‑night trip to Otaru and wished to store our luggage at your hotel beforehand. When we arrived, we were assisted by your staff member, Ms. Hayshi(林).When we asked whether it was possible to store our luggage, we were informed that storage was limited to one day only. We then explained that we would be returning quite late the following evening and asked if there might be any flexibility or alternative arrangements. However, the response we received felt a little abrupt, including a surprised “Huh?” that left us unsure how to continue the conversation. This made us feel slightly uncomfortable and misunderstood, though we believe it may simply have been a moment of miscommunication. In addition, from the day we inquired about luggage storage until March 4, we noticed that there were still two pieces of luggage stored in the luggage area for several days. We would appreciate some clarification on why those items were allowed to remain for an extended period, as this left us a bit confused about the policy. At the same time, I would also like to express my sincere appreciation for the warmth and professionalism shown by your Assistant Front Office Manager “Faucett mark “during my check‑in. He welcomed me with genuine kindness, clearly explained the procedures and facilities, and made me feel very well taken care of after a long journey. His patience and attentiveness created a truly positive impression, and I hope the hotel will acknowledge his excellent service. We have always appreciated the thoughtful hospitality that Japanese hotels are known for, which is why we chose to stay with you. With this in mind, we wanted to gently share both our concern and our gratitude, and we would appreciate a brief reply so we can feel more at ease for the rest of our stay. Thank you very much for taking the time to read this message. We wish your team a pleasant and successful day. Best regards, Mandy

PPeter DaThis hotel is pretty basic. They charged me extra for checking out just an hour late! Only in Japan, I guess, among all of Asia, haha. But whatever, I couldn't be bothered to argue with them. Then, when I ate at their restaurant downstairs, they asked if I was a hotel guest. I said yes, that I had stayed there for four nights. The server then told me I'd be charged a 300 JPY table fee. I was thinking, *what the heck?* I've stayed here for four days, and now I have to pay an extra table fee just to try your restaurant? And this hotel only cleans every three days. Remember, they only provide towels and trash bags; you have to do everything else yourself. I definitely won't be coming back.

AAnonymous UserThis is a new hotel in Sapporo offering great value for money. The hotel is very new, the rooms are spacious, and the large public bath facilities are perfect for relaxing after a long journey. The location is about a 7-minute walk from JR Sapporo, but it's not too far if you find the right exit (16, 17, or 18). Once you exit, you can easily spot the hotel's logo by looking up. There aren't many dining options nearby, just a ramen shop and a few convenience stores. It's about a 20-minute walk to Hokkaido University, Tanukikoji Shopping Street, and Odori Park. This hotel might be suitable for travelers who aren't visiting Sapporo for the first time and prefer a quiet, relaxing stay. The breakfast is quite extensive with plenty of seating. Recommended!

GGuest UserGood, very good, absolutely amazing! The front desk lady upgraded us to the top-tier suite with the calmest words! The room was very spacious, with a separate wet and dry bathroom, and a large dressing room equipped with bottled lotion and toner. The room also had bottled water and capsule coffee. After a long day of sightseeing, there was even a massage chair! The location is a ten-minute walk from Nakajima-koen Station. Great value for money, highly recommended! 👍

GGuest UserI booked a triple room for a trip with my parents. The room wasn't huge, but the layout was very efficient and convenient. We were assigned a higher floor, so the view from the window was great and it wasn't noisy. What we were most satisfied with were the hotel's breakfast and hot springs. The hotel has three distinct restaurants, and the breakfast quality was truly excellent. We were lucky enough to stay for four nights, so we got to try breakfast at each restaurant, and every one of them deserves a 5-star rating. The only minor flaw (a personal preference) was that there was no freshly ground coffee; the coffee was served from a thermos, and the taste was slightly lacking. The hot springs are located on the 3rd floor of the hotel, and the environment is lovely. When we visited, there were very few people, allowing us to fully enjoy the hot springs and sauna.

GGuest UserThis is a historic Japanese onsen hotel. The hot spring water quality is genuinely good, attracting many Japanese families and couples. There are also quite a few Korean families and Western tourists. However, the overall facilities are a bit old, and the flow within the onsen area is quite complex. There aren't many pools, but they are spread across multiple floors with lots of stairs. Walking around like that **in that condition** felt a bit awkward and cold. The open-air onsen on the 16th floor is shared by men and women at different times, so if all family members want to enjoy it, one day definitely isn't enough (see the last picture for the onsen schedule). The 'water world' is fun and great for kids, and soaking in the hot spring after playing there is very relaxing. The dining is just okay, nothing special, as they mainly cater to group tours. P.S. The scenery in Jozankei is worth exploring, and the nearby ski resort is worth a visit (the kind for playing in the snow). The kids had a blast.

SsweetknellneuFrom the moment you're greeted, to the front desk, and the overall architecture, everything exudes a sense of grandeur and luxury. It feels very upscale. The facilities are what you'd expect from a well-established star-rated hotel, and the location is absolutely prime, making it convenient to get anywhere. The night view from the upper floors is particularly beautiful. You can pretty much book this place without a second thought. Once again, I applaud my hotel-picking skills!
