"Had a wonderful stay at M Roof Hotel Ipoh! From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth and welcoming. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it easy to relax after a long day. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The hotel’s location is convenient, with plenty of great food nearby and easy access to the city’s attractions. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I’d definitely recommend M Roof Hotel to anyone visiting Ipoh. Looking forward to staying here again!"

"The moment I opened the door, there was a terrible smell of sweat, which was unacceptable. I reported it to the front desk, and they said they could have the cleaning staff check it, and if the smell really couldn't be fixed, I could switch rooms. However, I couldn't wait, so I went and bought two bottles of air freshener to solve the problem. Thankfully, after spraying almost a whole bottle, the issue was finally resolved, so I didn't change rooms. The room and bathroom are really small. For two people, it felt quite cramped. The water pressure from the sink faucet was very low, which was a bit inconvenient. Luckily, the shower head had good water pressure, allowing for a pleasant shower 🤣. The hairdryer needs improvement; it overheated in less than 5 minutes and needed to rest before I could continue using it 😭. There were no chairs, which was a bit of a hassle. However, they do provide a safe, an iron, and an ironing board for pressing clothes. The air conditioning was slow to cool down, but it eventually got cold; it just needed time to 'warm up' (meaning, to start working effectively). Also, there were quite a few mirrors in the room: one on each side of the bed, a large one above, and a half-length mirror right by the entrance, so you can check yourself out wherever you go 😁. Here are the good things about this hotel: They include a buffet breakfast with an all-you-can-eat option. It's available from 7 AM to 10:30 AM. The selection isn't huge but includes nasi lemak, fried noodles, porridge, clear noodle soup, dim sum, a nutritious breakfast for kids, and salad. Beverages include tea, coffee, plain water, and apparently also lemon water. They have their own free parking spaces for guests, which is a big plus! 👍"

"On the day I checked in, I left my things in the room and I went shopping. I did leave a Do Not Disturb sign on my door. When I came back, the minute I put down my shopping, someone tried to open my door. Looked through my peep hole and saw a middle aged woman. The key obviously did not work. She left after a while but came back with a bell boy who rang in my doorbell. I opened the door and bellboy apologised and asked if I was staying here. I said I have checked in at 3pm. Bellboy pointed at two luggages and said he sent them to the wrong room? Wait what? Whose are these? The woman said they were hers. Bell boy said he delivered them to the wrong room. Next, front desk called me and asked for my name. Not to apologise but ask for my identity. She confirmed that there’s been a mistake in assigning rooms. I asked her what do I need to do. She said nothing. No apologies. I asked her why the bellboy entered my room even though the Do Not Disturb sign was there. No answer. My advise to those who choose to stay here - double lock your doors and keep your valuables with you. They did not respect my DND sign and entered my room."

"A spacious unit, definitely suits a group of 4 adults. Having all necessities amenities like TV, fridge, cooking stove and microwave for people who aimed for staycation. Parking spots also available."

"The hotel was good and the breakfast was decent as well. We stayed at level 8, which we were told is one of the newly renovated floors, along with Level 7. However, the room service team did not respond to our request. We left a note on the table requesting room slippers before heading to work in the morning, but the request was not attended to. Nevertheless, the hotel receptionist was very responsive and promptly arranged for the room slippers to be delivered after we contacted them."

"Spent one night at this hotel for a business trip, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was for the price. The parking area is spacious and free, with valet parking available from RM30 per night. The hotel has a modern design and is equipped with a Face ID-like entry system, which adds a nice touch of technology. All the room switches are touchscreen as well. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, making it easy to get a good night’s sleep. I also really loved the bathroom design, especially the electronically operated toilet seat very much like the ones you’d find in Japan. They also provide complimentary snacks and carbonated drinks, which was a nice bonus. Overall, definitely one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at for its price. Great comfort, modern facilities, and plenty of thoughtful touches. Would definitely consider staying here again."

"Ipoh Excelsior Hotel 1. The location is excellent, with many shops and restaurants within walking distance. Considering its location, it's a hotel with great value for money. 2. The hotel staff are friendly, polite, and have a good service attitude. They are very enthusiastic about helping guests. 3. Breakfast was decent, though most of the food was on the spicier side. If you don't eat spicy food, there aren't many options, and there was only one type of vegetable. A unique touch was the ice cream offered at breakfast, which kids would surely enjoy. 4. The bathroom didn't provide small hand towels. After washing my hands, I either had to use a bath towel or toilet paper, which ended up leaving paper bits all over my hands, forcing me to rewash them. 5. Overall, this hotel offers good value for money, and its excellent location makes it worth a stay."

"GOOD STAY. NICE LOCATION. HOPEFULLY ALLOW FREE LATE CHECK OUT AROUND 3 PM ON WEEKDAYS WITHOUT ANY CHARGES. RECEPTIONIST AGREED ONLY 1 HOUR LATE CHECK OUT. ADMIN/RECEPTIONIST SHOULD COORDINATE WITH HOUSEKEEPERS AS NOT TO DISTURB GUEST BETWEEN 12 PM - 1 PM ( LATE CHECKOUT PERMITTED TIME); DURING OUR STAY WHEREBY WE WERE BUSY PACKING UP OUR LUGGAGES AND IN THE BATHROOM. QUITE ANNOYING. IMPROVE CREWS' HOSPITALITY SKILLS.... ANYWAY WOULD LIKE TO STAY AT STALLIONZ......because reasonable pricing, free parking and good location"
