"Edit after 5 days: really good ULTRA BUDGET hotel if you don’t mind a not so comfortable bed and possibly other creature comforts (if you’re looking for a proper hotel experience, LOOK ELSEWHERE). I thought beds are usually this uncomfortable until I stayed at other hotels. Barely good enough to sleep if you’re used to comfortable beds. Has an issue with the remote after 2 days and they simply couldn’t fix it. So if you encounter issues, you might be on your own. That’s not to say that staff isn’t helpful. You’re just getting what you pay for
Location is so perfect that I didn’t even bother with grab at all for most of Hanoi city attractions. It’s especially good on weekends when the major roads around the lake are closed for pedestrian. GGuest UserGreat hotel, cleanliness is up to standard, water heater is constant, air conditioning is great no stench smell, staff friendliness and customer service is top notch, I do not usually bother to leave review but this hotel definitely deserve a good review, however I wish that maybe there can be more varieties of breakfast.
On top of that I will like to compliment staff Miss Fancy, her attention to details and customer service is one of the best, I personally feel she should be groom and given the opportunity of a management role.
Really satisfied and had a wonderful stay at this hotel !!!

The breakfast offered a wide variety, and the Vietnamese section was incredibly authentic; every dish was satisfying. Staying at this hotel felt like a true vacation – the environment was quiet and comfortable, perfect for relaxing during the ***** New Year. The gym was well-equipped with a great view, which really boosted my mood while working out. Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations. DdasooI had to book a hotel last minute due to a change in plans, and I guess you could say I lucked out! I'm leaving this hotel feeling incredibly satisfied, despite booking it by chance.
Given the nature of Hanoi's Old Town, the hotel facilities are somewhat limited, but I felt they more than made up for any shortcomings with their excellent staff, mindset, and service.
The breakfast was superb, and every staff member I encountered was bright and cheerful, always checking if I needed anything. I only stayed one night as I had a pre-scheduled itinerary that required me to move to another hotel. However, they proactively offered to transfer my luggage to the next hotel so I could enjoy my day more easily. Thanks to that service, I was able to spend my time more leisurely.
I felt invigorated by the youthful and energetic demeanor of all the staff members.
The tourist map and recommended places were also very useful.
And to Lena, who later checked in with me via KakaoTalk about using the shower facilities and even sent a final farewell message – thank you once again!
Oh, I almost forgot the gifts! I'll enjoy the dried apricots and pandan green tea. Thank you! ^^

But the very important thing is cindy because she is friendly and care to us and to the people stay in here and every morning she come to breakfast area and coming to our table too in the breakfast time and asking what we need for breakfast and anything we need for breakfast and in the hotel and chit chat with us. Before we going to airport and she give us 2 gift of this coffee. All the staff in this hotel very help and friendly and room boy helps us to bring our luggage to lobby hotel. Only 1 things this hotel need to improve is the gym, cause the gym don't have many equipment for doing the gym. Everything is perfect, keep going with your service. We will come back again to this hotel when we come to hanoi again. Thanks you all staff and cindy and this hotel splendid premium hotel. 👍👍👍

Lots of delicious restaurants near the hotel, especially the popular pizza place right next door—but there was always a queue, so maybe next time! Mixue Ice Cream is also nearby, and the prices are great! The hotel service is superb, and the breakfast deserves a thumbs up! It's delicious! It's within walking distance of attractions like the church, the train station, and the night market. I'll definitely stay here again next time! Absolutely!

JJacob-WThe room decor is a bit dated, but it's well-maintained. The twin room felt a bit small because of the beds, and I was slightly disappointed there was no bathtub, as previous stays at this hotel always had one. This is a standard large hotel, featuring a swimming pool, gym, and spa. The buffet restaurant also meets typical large hotel standards, offering a rich variety of Western, Japanese, and Vietnamese cuisine. I've always been very satisfied.

1/ Overbooking situation - cancellation the day before landing
My friend and I booked two separate rooms to stay at this hotel, the day before the check in, my friend's booking got cancelled by the hotel without information. We had contacted the hotel several times in vain, then it was confirmed that they have overbooked the hotel which caused to trouble to start with our holiday.
Hotel Director of sales M. Victor N. did replied by email on the checking day 18/4 few hours before that ”we don't know the fact. You can make your reservation on our website now.” The remaining option on 18/4 morning was a ”suite” 14 times higher rate than our initial booking...
Therefore once arrived at Hanoi, we wanted to get a refund of my remaining booking but the hotel reception lady Mrs Ruby was not helpful at first and rude towards us. Her non hospitality professionalism and communication led us feel very unwelcomed (no smile, no thank you, speaking vietnamese with her colleague in front of us). May need to review if she really should stay at the reception as this is client facing interaction and should be solution driven.
She strictly insisted that she doesn't know why we only got one room left and my booking was non refundable even tough they did cancelled my friend's one few hours ago. After negotiation, she kept saying as it is non refundable, either we stay, either we book another room.
At that moment, there was an another room not the Suite one that just got available ”King room” and if we could pay the price difference which is higher than our initial paid booking and need to stay together in the same room.
As we just started the holidays and to not loose the money that we could not get refunded, we paid the difference to change to that room. We paid in cash to get that room.
We thought that was going to be just one off issue/misunderstanding and could start our holidays.
Note: If you pay in credit card they will charge 3% additional. The exchange rate is more convenient to change at jewelry gold shop in Hàng Bac street (5 mins walk), the rate at the hotel is too high, don't change there.
2/ Cleanliness
As we got this better king's room with window, we were expecting that to be at least clean and suitable for 2 pax.
The bed sheets and cushions were yellowish, the floor was not vacuum (dead bees staying there whole stay), the slippers are dirty, the wall is stained and some unfinished renovation. The worst is the shower/bathtub, once you shower, it will flood to the room, we had to put towels to absorb the water in the room.
You have to ask for towels if they clean your room as they will forget.
3/ Breakfast
Be aware that it is from 6:30am to 9:30am, the breakfast is correct as a mini buffet
Overall this hotel is average, the positive points are the location and the other gentleman receptionist allowing us to have a ”late check out” at noon instead of 11am, as if after noon they will charge one night more.
The hotel should stop with overbooking rooms that will cause unnecessary stress situation for everyone and need to be renovated.
To be honest, you can have much more great options nearby, CLEAN and with great hospitality service. As part of holidays and for a decent price, just book another hotel to avoid negative start for your holidays.
