GGuest UserI don't understand how can this hotel get a 9.3 rating and rated as a 5 star hotel in trip.com. when I reached I felt deceived, this is just a 3 star hotel. Room is so small. And with the price I paid about 85 euro, I think you better go to Fraser Suites still one of the best in Hanoi. This hotel is one of my worst hotel in Vietnam. When you enter the toilet has a big smell and the sink is blocked. Imagine at 11pm already dead tired and shower halfway with a block sink and flooded floor. See the photo. How can a hotel design the floor sink like this. There is no slot to contain the water and if it's blocked it will overflow of course to the dry floor. Such a stupid design and not to mentioned the smell. The manager know exactly this room has a problem when he came but still provide this room to me. This is the point that make me furious. I manage to change to a new room and this room is better with no block sink but the room felt outdated and small. . Most importantly there is a constant water flowing water noise that I don't know is it from the neighbour or from upper ceiling. In general there is simply no insulation and noisy when people walk by. I felt like want to check out after my first night but its a non refundable. No choice. Overall it is a nightmare for me. Breakfast is average. Positive side the staff is ok. I will never trust the rating in trip.com of 9.3 or Google rating 4.8. just cannot believe it and I booked it to try due to good rating but end up quite disappointed. Anyway in general as advice try to avoid most hotel within the old town and look for Novotel suites, Fraser suites that are located outside from the touristic old town to get the best value for money and just use Grab if you want to visit the old town.

GGuest UserWe stayed at hotel chateau de hanoi for 2 nights and overall, it was an under-average experience. For its price (pre-discount and considering we were in Vietnam) it might not be that worth it. We booked the hotel because of its high-rated reviews and its branding as a 5 star boutique hotel. Upon arrival, we were greeted with welcome drinks and the staff was friendly. We arrived hanoi quite early, so we asked if we could do an early check-in. We were informed by the staff that an early check-in was not impossible, but there was an extra charge. It was however totally understandable that the hotel has their arrangements so we went along with the regular check-in time, but the staff quite passive aggressively told us that they informed us on WhatsApp— we were on a flight and later on a Grab to the hotel so we were unable to read the message entirely. I would expect a 5-star service to be more understanding. To be very honest, I would doubt if the hotel qualifies to be categorized into a 5-star hotel. Of course, the hotel provides customers with all the necessary amenities like toothbrush and shaving kits, but the hotel room didn’t have a window and lighting was insufficient. There was a bathtub, but there was no proper standing shower and it was just a shower head next to the toilet without curtains or doors. The twin bed was extremely small and too easy to be moved around (in a sense that if I wanted to sit at the edge of bed, the mattress would slide to that side). Hygiene was fine but some areas such as the wall and the bathing area could be improved. We ran out of tissue paper in the room as well but after housekeeping the box was still empty and not replaced with a new box of tissue. Soundproofing at the hotel was not solid since we could constantly hear noises from next door during midnight. In our booking package free breakfast was included, so we checked it out in the morning. A small buffet was provided, but the plates and utensils had oil on them. There was a set menu, but the scrambled eggs were not up to par and the pho was okay. Considering the hotel brands itself as a 5-star hotel, I would expect better hygiene and quality check. Location-wise, the hotel is located at the heart of Old Quarter. It is convenient but this also means traffic can get very hectic nearby. Moreover we realized the staff was getting less and less friendly as we reached the end of our stay. It would be nice if their attitude and service could be more consistent, again, given it is a 5-star hotel.

RRalfNeeded a good night of test without noise from streets. This was possible on the 7th floor according to the employee. The room was only five meters away from the road and I think the occupancy was about 25% Maximum. And this is royal measured. The window in the bathroom didn't even close. I asked for another room away from the road and with windows that can close. I was offered another room. Again a window that was broken, but I fixed it in a way it's closed now. Lifted up the locking system at the side of the window, but it fell down, so now the window doesn't open anymore. Small window. There's also a big window. Because of having big windows these rooms are being considered to be executive rooms. Never reared about window size influencing the level of hierarchy. But at the other side of the window there's a wall and it's a very creepy hole you stare in. I didn't really feel executive because of that. But still I got the one night of rest I needed to normally open my eyes again. It's creepy when you're so tired that your eyes just can't open anymore. Big fat eyes the next day. Suddenly the younger girl behind the reception approach me with an extreme humble tone of voice telling me that it's actually an executive room. I literally asked myself if they had the gutted attitude to sell me an upgrade. Never mind, relocation is coming anyways. Hanoi is a very dusty city. I mean extremely dusty. So dusty that the damage and harm it causes to visit this place really doesn't make yhe visit feels really worthy. Also the communism is absolutely what didn't suit me personally at all. I am socially more developed. In general I had the impression that they employees where friendly, but it's their job. Not their job to be aggressive as I experienced once when I just asked the question what sports Vietnamese people.like the most. But this was in check out day. And the sinistry in the laugh of the male receptionist towards the taxi driver after they pushed me into.paying more for what I ordered online completely woke me up. But it's also weird yo say that the new owner is less kayak and in the meantime trying to sell me.more nights and saying I should return. I completely don't understand this way of handling. Asking 30% extra for a early check in. I saw yes when booked one or two nights, but when one booked a week then I would give it for free. In my case I understand that I needed to pay more for that 3 hour earlier checking in. But my explanation was clear. I need rest and lay down in normality, instead of walking on the streets wearing me out even more. The option offered didn't have anything to do with customer focus. More customer abuse in the most possible hardcore form. And this was the second accommodation in Hanoi where this abuse happened. I only had two accommodation totally indeed. Yes that's correct fellow traveller. Horror travel horror. Now comes the materialistic reviewing: Beds brand new and 100% awesome and healthy. Spotless clean and even when you refuse room cleaning it still happens. Very need to do that. Amen to the cleaner lady. Welcome Hall is pleasant. Shower is nice. It's very noisy in the front of the building, but I've only seen one room and I know that women follow the extinguishers agenda from Europe and I experienced this extremely in Vietnam. It even makes me feel.Viet Numb. But that's a good sign. 7 days left and at least I've experienced a bit what the U.S. army experienced back then. Viet Numb for me is more like a Tour of Duty. I see a red door and I want to paint it black. Communists not my people.

VValentina MilevaWe stayed 5 nights at Skyline Hotel Hanoi and had a very pleasant experience. We arrived quite early in the morning and unfortunately no room was available at that time. However, the staff kindly offered us a complimentary breakfast, and later arranged for us to check in early to a temporary room without a window so we could rest. The next day, we were smoothly moved to the room with a window that we had originally booked. As we were very tired and hungry upon arrival, we truly appreciated this thoughtful and flexible arrangement. Our first impression was that the hotel is located in a small alley, but it is very quiet, especially at night. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist us. Both the lobby and the room were very clean; although the furniture is a bit dated, everything was well maintained and comfortable. The hotel also offers tour services to Ha Long Bay and Ninh Binh, but we had already arranged our plans in advance. We did use the hotel’s airport taxi service for an early morning transfer, which was punctual and reliable. We will definitely return to Hanoi, and Skyline Hotel Hanoi will be our choice again. Thank you to the entire team for your warm hospitality.

DDanielleKateA stay brushed in gold — beautiful, with a few areas to refine
. Dolce by Wyndham Hanoi Golden Lake is certainly visually striking. The hotel is incredibly photogenic, and while the overall experience was lovely in many ways, it leaned more towards being aesthetically impressive than feeling like a seamless 5-star stay. 📍 Location
The location is quieter and less central than the Old Quarter, which is worth considering if you enjoy being close to major attractions. That said, the lakeside setting created a calm, peaceful atmosphere that we really appreciated. ✨ Highlights
The personalised service from the front desk and door staff was a real highlight. They remembered our names and room number throughout our stay, which felt thoughtful and welcoming. Our room was spacious and the lake view was genuinely beautiful. The gym was clean, updated, and perfectly adequate for a comfortable workout. The buffet breakfast offered a wide range of options and variety. ⚠️ Areas for improvement
There were a few small details that, with a little more attention, could elevate the experience even further. We were provided with an ironing board that wasn’t in working condition and an iron that was missing parts, which caused a slight delay to our plans one morning. A replacement iron was provided, however it was marked and unfortunately left a small stain on one of my garments. The pickleball court was located in a basement area that felt a little unfinished and could benefit from some added care and presentation. The rooftop pool offered lovely skyline views, however the space itself felt quite quiet, with worn lounge chairs and limited ambience. A poolside bar or some soft music could really enhance the atmosphere and make this area more inviting. One evening, an event held above our room resulted in music and drums being audible late into the night, which impacted rest. Better soundproofing could help ensure guest comfort during events. The laundry service was priced at the higher end, and a price list wasn’t provided. While we could have asked in advance, clearer upfront pricing would have made the experience a little smoother. Breakfast service was pleasant, though it felt less interactive compared to other 4- and 5-star hotels we stayed at in Hanoi, where staff were especially proactive in checking in with guests, offering recommendations, and seeking feedback. 🌿 Final thoughts
A very beautiful hotel with warm front-facing staff, spacious rooms, and lovely views. With a little more attention to detail and consistency in service, this property has the potential to offer a truly exceptional luxury experience. A wonderful stay in many ways, with just a few opportunities to shine even brighter.

LLukeeeyI stayed at Grand Dragon Now Bai Hotel for a short rest after arriving in Vietnam at 5am, and it was just what I needed. The hotel driver picked me up from the airport for a very reasonable 80K VND (less than £2.50), which was super convenient. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were really friendly. Breakfast is served next door with a few meal options, though I skipped it since I just needed some sleep before continuing my journey. The hotel is very close to the airport — perfect for a quick stopover, though I wouldn’t recommend walking with luggage. Great value and ideal for a rest between flights!

DDawei 007What a perfect little place to stay if you have a late arriving flight or a very early morning one. I found the staff here extremely friendly and they used Google translate to communicate. The room was immaculate and offered fantastic value. They offer breakfast at an additional charge , very reasonable and their iced coffee is superb, highly recommend. An ideal place to stay for a night.

GGuest UserThe location of Victor Metropolis Hotel was indeed convenient. The reception staff was also very friendly and helpful. They were very well-mannered and would offer assistance whenever required. The hotel is around 9 storeys high, with a roof top bar at the 10th floor. The room is relatively small, especially the toilet, with a bathtub shower area (that can make it very slippery to go in and out for kids/older folks). Sufficient amenities (such as soap/tooth brush) etc were provided, but be prepared that the quality might not be the best. Also, do note that there isn’t a lot of socket plugs available for charging. You have to unplug either a bedside lamp or another appliances to charge your own device. Overall experience was alright for the price offered!
