5-Star Hotels in Gansu, China

This hotel is quite pricey for Lanzhou, but it's definitely worth the money. The location is top-notch, right by the Yellow River, and very close to Zhongshan Bridge, Waterwheel Garden, and the Du Zhe Museum, making transportation very convenient. The hygiene is excellent; everything is clean and tidy. The staff also asked every day if I needed housekeeping, which was a nice touch. The service is also top-tier. When I arrived by taxi, a staff member immediately helped with my luggage, and a robot even delivered my takeout orders directly to my room. The only thing that could be improved is the interior design. For example, the bathroom doesn't have a small sink, and the air conditioning is central, so it can't be adjusted independently in the room. For someone like me who gets hot easily, it wasn't cool enough.

Someone was there to pick me up right after I landed, so I didn't have to wait. The business car service was excellent, but the hotel had a really strong smell, probably because it was newly renovated. It's a five-star hotel, but the facilities feel a bit basic. However, it's good enough for a temporary stay. It's so convenient now that there's an airport nearby, which wasn't the case before. Ordering takeout was a bit inconvenient, but breakfast was quite good.

Our stay at this five-star hotel throughout our trip to Dunhuang was absolutely perfect. The hotel's design beautifully integrates the Silk Road Dunhuang culture, creating a fantastic ambiance. Dunhuang elements are visible everywhere in the lobby and public areas, showcasing meticulous attention to detail. The guest rooms are spacious and spotless, with soft, comfortable bedding and high-end, complete bathroom facilities. The soundproofing is excellent, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep after a day of travel. The front desk staff were warm and professional, making check-in efficient and smooth. They proactively offered helpful assistance with travel guides and attraction bookings. The breakfast offered a rich variety, combining authentic Northwestern specialties with exquisite Western dishes, all tasting delicious. The location is very convenient for getting around, with easy access to Mingsha Mountain, Mogao Grottoes, and Shazhou Night Market. It was incredibly comforting to have such high-quality accommodation in the middle of a desert journey. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Dunhuang!

Every time I travel, I agonize over which hotel to choose. I usually check out highly-rated hotels and see what their negative reviews say. For my trip to Zhangye, I also picked from several hotels. My personal experience was fantastic, exceeding my expectations. I didn't encounter any of the issues mentioned in some reviews. The staff were all young, vibrant, and the service was simply impeccable. From pick-up at the station to drop-off at the airport, every detail made me feel incredibly comfortable. The room was also spotlessly clean. The hotel's breakfast was the best I've had on this trip – a wide variety of options and a spacious dining area. For this price, staying at a hotel like this is incredibly good value for money.

This was the best hotel we stayed at along the entire Qinghai-Gansu Grand Loop. The doormen (employee numbers 42 and 55) were so welcoming and even helped us wipe down our car when they saw it was dirty. They were quick to bring our food deliveries right to our room. The hotel breakfast was also delicious; the beef noodles were better than what you'd find at some specialized restaurants. The environment was lovely too. Plus, there's direct access to the adjacent mall from the hotel's fourth floor, which is super convenient.

I have been to many places in the country and stayed in many hotels. This hotel made me dissatisfied in many places. The first is about the breakfast coupon. As a 4th or 5th tier city, I spent nearly 400 yuan to open a large bed room, but only gave me a breakfast coupon. I called to consult, and the explanation was also far-fetched. I had to spend another 58 yuan to buy a breakfast coupon. I had no choice but to spend more than 400 yuan to buy the breakfast coupon in order to have a good rest along the way. The second is to drive to the parking lot. Such a high-end hotel should be considered one of the best hotels in Longnan City. When I arrived at the hotel's ground parking lot, there was no parking space, but no one came to direct the parking of the vehicle. I found that the staff was hiding in the corner squatting on the ground and making their own private phone calls, ignoring the existence of the guests. Third, when registering at the main desk, there were clearly 2 windows for registration, and the 2 staff were crowded together, ignoring the existence of other individual guests. When other registered guests impatiently questioned, the staff slowly asked us to line up at another window to check in, and the work efficiency was also very low. I don’t know if it was caused by unskilled business. Fourth, when we bumped into the housekeeping staff on the floor, no one took the initiative to greet the guests. As a high-star, high-end hotel, the hardware conditions are so good, but the software and management should be improved! Finally, I would like to add that the water in the public area on the ground should be cleaned up in time, otherwise the guests would fall and it would be bad for everyone!

The Sheraton Lanzhou has been the best hotel experience on my Qinghai-Gansu grand loop trip so far! The hotel boasts top-notch facilities and a beautifully designed, comfortable atmosphere. The scenic rooms offer stunning views of the Yellow River banks, encompassing the entire Lanzhou skyline. Moreover, the hotel's breakfast spread is incredibly rich, with specialty dishes like beef noodles made fresh on the spot. The cakes from the in-house bakery are especially delicious, easily rivaling those found in Shanghai. In the past, whenever I visited Lanzhou, I always stayed downtown, where traffic was incredibly congested and parking was a hassle. This Sheraton, being away from the bustling city center, is much quieter. Plus, getting to the city center is super convenient with a metro transfer right on B1. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Lanzhou.

This is the second time I have stayed here. The room is very spacious. Although it is an old hotel, I can feel the quality of the decoration and the facilities are complete. The hotel is very large, and the greenery, water system, pavilions and towers are all very beautiful. It is like living in a big park. It is a good choice for travel and leisure. It is very close to Kongtong Mountain Scenic Area, less than ten minutes' drive. We climbed Kongtong Mountain on the first day and brought the elderly with us. It rained on the second day. Just walk around the hotel and go to the swimming pool for free. The elderly had a lot of fun and were not tired. In the afternoon, we enjoyed the scenery, drank tea and chatted on the terrace of the room, and went to the restaurant to eat delicious hand-pulled lamb in the evening. The service staff are very enthusiastic, especially the Xiao Li team in the guest room building No. 5, who made us really feel what it means to feel at home. Thank you very much. Arrived in Lanzhou on May 22nd to participate in a marathon and booked a room at the Hilton Garden Inn Lanzhou Hekou (Yellow River Waterwheel Park Branch). The hotel is conveniently located next to Nongmin Alley, and its 52-story height makes it very prominent. I took the subway to the hotel, and it was just a 5-minute walk, two intersections away, from the station. Parking is free for guests. The lobby on the first floor is very grand, with a cafe and a gift shop. The front desk is on the 51st floor, and check-in was quite fast. The front desk informed me that the hotel provides race-day breakfast, and I just needed to register for it. My room was on the 32nd floor, a small room with a good view. It had a kettle and a hairdryer. The TV screen was large, and the toilet was a standard type. The shower had a slight issue; the showerhead was clogged and kept dripping after use, but the hotel maintenance fixed it. The race-day breakfast was decent, with a croissant, a muffin, milk, and an apple.

I chose this hotel for my business trip and was extremely satisfied. The hotel environment is quiet, perfect for both rest and work. The in-room office facilities are complete, and the internet signal is stable with fast speeds, making it very convenient for handling work. The gym facilities are also new, allowing me to relax after work. The staff member, Mikex, was professional and efficient, perfectly meeting my business needs.
