5-Star Hotels in Hebei, China

This is our third year celebrating Chinese New Year at the Sheraton Guan. Overall, it's pretty good; the room and dining services are excellent. Just a heads-up for anyone visiting in winter: avoid rooms facing south. They get incredibly hot. The hotel's central AC only blows hot air, and with the direct sunlight, the room becomes unbearable for sleeping. To make matters worse, the windows only open a tiny crack – it was truly a struggle!

The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was soft, ensuring a very comfortable sleep. The front desk service was warm and attentive. The location is convenient, offering excellent value for money. My stay was perfect! The hygiene was impeccable, facilities were complete and in good working order, and the environment was quiet and peaceful. The service was thoughtful and I highly recommend it! The staff were gentle and accommodating. Fantastic value, definitely worth staying.

I chose to stay here for a professional photography trip, and all the amenities and services perfectly met my shooting needs. Upon arrival, the front desk swiftly and efficiently handled my check-in, proactively informing me about luggage storage and dedicated storage for large photographic equipment, which saved me a lot of preparation time. The room hygiene was impeccable; the large panoramic window was crystal clear and spotless, with no dust on the floor or surfaces, and the storage area was clean and dry, allowing me to safely store precise cameras, lenses, and other valuable equipment without worrying about dust damage. My butler, Sherry, was very familiar with the best local photography spots. She precisely tailored a full-day photography excursion plan based on sunrise, sunset, and tidal changes, guiding me through different shooting routes for coastal scenery, cultural architecture, wave close-ups, and night lights at various times. She provided exclusive services such as temporary equipment storage, early morning wake-up calls, borrowing simple blackout props, and leading the way to lesser-known wild spots, immediately adjusting the shooting schedule if the weather changed. Thanks to the efficient front desk reception, the clean and dust-free room, and Sherry's professional photography tour planning and dedicated equipment services, I successfully captured many satisfying works. I highly recommend it to photography enthusiasts.

The room was great, and the hotel photos pretty much say it all. The service, however, was truly excellent. The ladies at the front desk, the shuttle driver, and the bellhops were all incredibly thoughtful and attentive. They helped with my luggage, and even offered to carry my snowboard and bags when I was wearing my ski boots – much appreciated! The breakfast and on-site restaurants were also delicious. I was starving after skiing, so I tried Da Chi and Ban Shan Yao, and even made a special trip to McDonald's before leaving. I was so focused on practicing my skiing that I didn't take many photos. Next time, I'll book a room with a bathtub; the snow view wasn't that interesting.

The location is fantastic, perfect for relaxing and taking a stroll. You can easily walk or bike to Qinhuang Alley without needing a car. Location has always been Shangri-La's strong suit, which is why even if the facilities are a bit dated, I still prioritize staying here when I travel. While the facilities are a little old, they are well-maintained. The cleanliness is acceptable. The environment is absolutely wonderful. I even caught a wedding during my two-day stay. Since I was just relaxing anyway, I spent the whole morning watching from the balcony – congratulations to the happy couple! Breakfast was mediocre, crowded and chaotic, and the food was just so-so. The service was okay.

The room is spacious and clean with a balcony, with children's bathrobes, slippers and mouthwash cups, very intimate. There are welcome fruits and drinks every day, and you can interact with cute pets downstairs. The children are super happy. The breakfast is rich and amazing. I recommend the hotel's Luyu restaurant. The dishes taste great. Thanks to the hotel butler Zhou Shuang for his thoughtful service, timely reply to the information, patient and thoughtful!

The mountain environment is cool and healing, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Both the facilities and services are top-notch, making for a perfect vacation experience. The lobby manager, Ma Lijiao, was always available via her service hotline, addressing our needs promptly and flexibly without any perfunctory attitude. The only minor drawback was that the breakfast restaurant was too crowded, and the food replenishment couldn't keep up. Additionally, children's meals required a separate payment of 49 yuan, as the system reportedly didn't allow it to be charged to the room, so we had to pay on the spot. Having stayed in so many hotels, this mandatory charge for children's meals that can't be added to the room bill was not a great experience, and I hope it can be improved.

The hotel is tucked away in a quiet spot but still super convenient, just a few minutes' walk from the bus stop. As soon as I walked in, a staff member warmly offered to help with my luggage. Check-in was a breeze; I didn't have to wait at all. The room gets amazing natural light, the bedding is incredibly soft, and everything was spotless. The bathroom's wet and dry areas are well-separated, which is a nice touch, and it was wonderfully quiet at night. Breakfast had a great variety and tasted delicious too.

The InterContinental Shijiazhuang R&F is in an excellent location, right next to Wanda Plaza and Train Head Night Market, making it a lively and bustling commercial hub. The surrounding parks offer pleasant scenery, and the overall transportation network is very convenient. The rooms are clean and tidy, creating a comfortable living environment. Our butler, Bella, provided warm, attentive, and thoughtful service. The hotel breakfast offers a rich and diverse selection, with outstanding flavors. It's an exceptionally suitable stay whether you're traveling for business or leisure.

The room is spacious and offers direct beach access downstairs, with a pool available. The sea water was quite murky, possibly due to a typhoon. The hotel's location is convenient and good, but there aren't many decent entertainment options. Parking management within the hotel is poor; cars are parked haphazardly everywhere. Breakfast is decent, but there's no management. Staff only swipe cards at the entrance; there's no one to guide or manage guests even when the restaurant is full. A server clearing tables just threw a paper napkin at me and told me to wipe the table myself after they took the plates. The lobby entrance is also a mess. Room facilities are aging; the room door doesn't close properly, relying only on a top latch which is practically useless. The service staff are trying hard, but the management isn't great. I've been here many times, and it's getting worse.
