Cheap Hotels in Rome

"This hotel is extremely old, and the room facilities are decades out of date. Initially, they gave me a room without a shower. When I asked the staff, they told me I'd have to use the public bathroom down the hall for a shower?? Unbelievable. So I requested a room change. The bathroom in the new room had a strong musty smell that wouldn't go away even after two days of keeping the window open. The shower stall was incredibly small; I'd hit the glass just trying to raise my arm. The water boiled in the kettle had a strange taste and a lot of impurities and sediment, I'm not sure if it was the water quality or the kettle itself. When I was packing to check out, I found bed bugs crawling on my clothes!!!! That made me anxious for the rest of my trip. Other than that, everything else was just mediocre, but given the price and good location, I guess that's what you get."

"Very convenient, and the room was quite clean. Someone came to tidy up every day. The bathroom had a separate shower and toilet, which was great. The room was also quite spacious for European standards. We requested a quiet room when we booked, and the front desk gave us a room facing the courtyard, which was perfect."

"We stayed in a double room, The room's layout was strange, completely different from the photos; the bed was in the centre of the room, there are also a single bed which located next to the desk. The door couldn't be locked inside. We reported this to the front desk, and they said they couldn't do anything about it and that no one would enter our room. However, the bathroom is being tidied every day, which is quite different to what the front desk said. The room wasn't dirty, but the bathroom was quite filthy, with grime and hair."

"Location is quite convenient. Around 13mins walk from Rome Termani Station, where the main trains depart from/arrive into, and where the airport shuttle buses are located. Close to multiple bus stops that takes you to the Colosseum, Pantheon, Tiber Island and other key attractions, and within walkable distance to Villa Borghese Gallery. There are a few restaurants that open till late night in the area and mini-supermarkets as well in the neighborhood. It's quiet and isn't noisy. Hotel has a lift that takes you up to your room, a locked room for storing baggage, and only a few stairs at the entrance so accessibility is good. Single room size is decent, with windows, and toilet with stand shower and stable hot water that doesn't fluctuate in temperature and good drainage, no leakage. Recommendation for the hotel to provide some more toiletries and basic amenities besides shower cap, as there are nothing else in the room. No hot water boiler, no hairdryer, no slippers. And I had to ask reception for blankets because housekeeping forgot to put new ones back onto the shelf. Staff is helpful and was able to give me the blankets I requested efficiently, which is clean and wrapped in plastic, so kudos for the hotel for having good hygiene. There is a fridge and a mini safe box though which is a plus. Cleanliness is above average, ventilation and air con/heating are also good. Overall room is good value for money, and is big enough for you to open a 28inches+ luggage fully. Check-in process is also speedy, WiFi is reliable."

"The hotel was a pleasant surprise with excellent quality. It's an eight-story white European-style building with very new facilities. The hotel uses a modern central air conditioning system, so the rooms are very quiet. It's clean, tidy, elegant, and fresh, with an exceptionally good location – right outside the subway exit, no need to cross any roads, making travel incredibly convenient. We rarely saw Chinese guests, but the hotel was very friendly towards us; the front desk upgraded us to a family room for free. The room was spacious with two large beds and a small balcony. However, it's best not to open the balcony door, as the air conditioning will stop working due to the temperature difference. Breakfast was high quality, abundant, and delicious. Overall, this hotel is highly recommended."

"Being so close to Termini Station was definitely the right choice, especially arriving in Rome in the evening for a self-guided trip. The airport shuttle stops right opposite the hotel entrance. Despite its central location, it wasn't noisy at all; in fact, I found it incredibly convenient for getting around. With a multi-day metro and bus pass, I could explore all of Rome and easily pop back to the hotel for a rest whenever needed. The breakfast was plentiful. While it wasn't a huge spread of meat and heavy dishes, it was healthy and nutritious, offering self-serve fresh squeezed juice, and a good variety of breads and pastries that changed daily. The restaurant staff were also excellent."

"Location-wise, the Hotel is really well situated. It's just a minute away from the Terminus. All the staff there were very forthcoming and willing to share with their ideas of how we could explore the city to its fullest. We had a morning meal and lunch there and found the food was of good quality. If the amenities in the restroom was more equipped, then the overall impression would further be upgraded. In short, I would recommend this Hotel to my friends and relatives if they looked for an ideally located and hospitable accomodation with moderate price. It's fun to be one of the guests there👍"

But the pleasant surprise of meeting such kind and friendly people, the amazing room they gave us with a little terrace, made our stay unforgettable. "Sanitation: The hotel absolutely stank of sewage, I don't know where it was coming from. I saw reviews mentioning it before booking but thought it might be a rare occurrence. Environment: The motorbikes downstairs were incredibly loud! It's right by the road, and because the hotel is next to a crossroads, it's extremely noisy. You could hear motorbikes roaring even in the middle of the night, making it impossible to sleep. The soundproofing is also terrible; you can clearly hear people talking when they walk past your door. If you're a light sleeper, be very careful about staying here! Sanitation: The cleanliness itself was quite good. Facilities: The environment is also great, aside from the flaws mentioned above, everything else is pretty good, especially the excellent location. It's only a 5-minute walk to the subway station. Service: The front desk staff were all very friendly, warm, and helpful."
