Hotel near Garbatella,Rome
The Hotel Caravel is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. Visitors to Rome will find that the Hotel Caravel is a fantastic accommodation choice. Boasting a convenient location, the hotel is just 2km from Roma Ostiense and 15km from Giovan Battista Pastine International Airport. Transportation around the city is also convenient, with Garbatella Metro Station within walking distance. Seeing Rome's sights from this hotel is easy with Papal Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls, Baths of Caracalla and Catacombs of St. Callixtus all close by. At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city. This hotel is a popular accommodation for couples.

"I recently stayed at this hotel and while there were a few positives, the overall experience was disappointing due to a series of overlooked details and frustrating issues. To start with the good—the staff were great: friendly, helpful, and informative. They made an effort to assist whenever asked, and that hospitality was appreciated. The location was decent, about a 30-minute bus ride to the city center. It’s not exactly central, but manageable if you’re okay with the commute. The room was reasonably clean upon arrival, but the quality of housekeeping declined quickly. A lotion stain I accidentally left on the shower floor was never cleaned, and instead of actually scrubbing the area, housekeeping simply placed a mat over it—as if to hide it. Initially, the room came stocked with two sets of towels, but after the first day, only one of each was replaced. While the booking was for one person, maintaining the original quantity would have shown a bit more care and consistency. There were several small inconveniences that added up. For example, the room phone had no directory, so I had no idea how to contact the front desk or reach any services. On top of that, the air conditioning didn’t work for the first two days, which turned out to be because the previous guest had asked for it to be turned off, and it was never reset. It took me that long to realize I had to ask the concierge to enable it again. In a properly managed hotel, the AC should be reset and ready for the next guest without needing to make a request. The continental breakfast was another letdown. The scrambled eggs were dry, lumpy, and had a strange grey tint. The bacon and sausages were cold, and orange juice was served in plastic cups. There was very little fresh fruit, and to top it off, they had a random speaker on the floor playing radio ads during breakfast—a strange and unpleasant ambiance for a morning meal. I’m glad I didn’t pay for breakfast for my entire stay, because it definitely wasn’t worth it. The Wi-Fi was by far the worst I’ve encountered in any hotel. It disconnected constantly and, when connected, barely reached speeds of 5 Mbps. For a hotel in a tourist-heavy area, this is unacceptable and suggests a clear lack of awareness of guest needs—especially for travelers who rely on Wi-Fi to plan outings or stay in touch. Noise was another major issue. The elevator makes a blaring siren-like noise when it opens, which woke me up every single morning. The walls and doors are paper-thin, making it easy to hear people walking or talking outside, and the doors slam shut loudly, adding to the disturbance. Finally, while not the hotel’s fault, there were a few homeless individuals living around the property, which might make some guests feel uneasy, particularly at night. All in all, while the staff were excellent and the location worked, there were just too many frustrating and avoidable issues—poor housekeeping, unusable Wi-Fi, subpar breakfast, noise problems, and a lack of attention to guest experience basics. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless the hotel makes significant improvements across the board."

"My primary reason for choosing this hotel was its excellent location, conveniently situated between the airport and the city center, which made taxi rides both straightforward and reasonably priced. Upon checking in, I was pleased to discover a wide array of recommended tours and activities, such as church musicals and golf cart excursions. This was incredibly helpful for someone like me who prefers not to meticulously plan every detail of their trip. Lastly, I have to praise their laundry service. Besides the usual per-item pricing, they offer a 'family laundry package,' which I recall being around €15 per kilogram. As we visited during summer, small items like T-shirts and socks don't add much weight. I sent in 3 T-shirts and 5 pairs of socks, and the total cost was only about €12. Each item came back smelling wonderfully fresh, almost like new clothes. What a delight not to have a smelly suitcase!"

The rooftop restaurant has a great ambiance, and breakfast there is particularly enjoyable. It's not far from Termini train station, and you can even walk to the Colosseum."

Hotel near Trionfale,Rome
The LH Hotel Roma Montemario was recently renovated in 2023, making it a fantastic choice for those staying in Rome. The hotel is conveniently located just 2km from Monte Mario and 28km from Leonardo Da Vinci International Airport. Seeing Rome's sights from this hotel is easy with Foro Italico, 2027 Coppa Italia Final and Olympic Stadium all close by. At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city. This Rome hotel offers parking on site.

"Hotel Roma Montemario offers a mix of positives and negatives for visitors. The rooms, while small, exude a cozy atmosphere, inviting guests to unwind. However, the peculiar placement of the air conditioner behind the curtains may lead to some inconvenience. The shower's tight space poses a challenge, making it difficult for some guests to comfortably use. Additionally, the city tax of 7.5 euros per person, along with the extra 15 euros for a small dog, might come as an unexpected extra cost, especially considering the restriction on leaving pets in the room. On a brighter note, the breakfast served at the hotel is a definite highlight, with delicious options to start the day. In terms of location, Hotel Roma Montemario falls short, being quite a distance from major landmarks, which could be a drawback for those looking to explore the city easily. Ultimately, while the hotel has its charms, aspects like room size, shower space, additional fees, and location should be considered when booking a stay at this establishment."

"The hotel was a pleasant surprise with excellent quality. It's an eight-story white European-style building with very new facilities. The hotel uses a modern central air conditioning system, so the rooms are very quiet. It's clean, tidy, elegant, and fresh, with an exceptionally good location – right outside the subway exit, no need to cross any roads, making travel incredibly convenient. We rarely saw Chinese guests, but the hotel was very friendly towards us; the front desk upgraded us to a family room for free. The room was spacious with two large beds and a small balcony. However, it's best not to open the balcony door, as the air conditioning will stop working due to the temperature difference. Breakfast was high quality, abundant, and delicious. Overall, this hotel is highly recommended."

"I stayed at this hotel for two nights and had a very disappointing experience. The hotel is not located downtown. It is in a residential area surrounded by apartment buildings. Even with a window room, you are looking directly into someone else’s apartment, which felt uncomfortable. The location is not convenient at all. The biggest letdown was the air conditioning. Despite requesting it multiple times, the AC was never turned on. The staff said it was not their decision and blamed government rules. However, the hotel description clearly states, “Make yourself at home in one of the 101 air-conditioned rooms featuring minibars and LED televisions.” This was extremely frustrating, especially in such hot weather. Staying without AC was very uncomfortable. If this is truly a rule, guests should be informed in advance. A message during booking or a clear notice at the hotel would help people prepare. Unfortunately, this shows a lack of professionalism for what is marketed as a high-end hotel."
