"Years ago, I had a great experience staying at Erhai Gate No. 1, and when I returned to Dali years later, I chose it again. It has since been upgraded to a smart guesthouse. It's very close to the East Gate of the ancient city, just about 100 meters away, offering convenient transportation and easy access to amenities. Right by the East Gate, you'll find all sorts of restaurants, eateries, and convenience stores. The guesthouse itself is located in a quiet spot despite being close to the bustling area, boasting a lovely garden courtyard. The owner is very welcoming and recommended some delicious local restaurants and noodle shops. It felt just like home, which was very comfortable. The golden retriever, Xiao Yi, is still the adorable resident pet. I will definitely choose Erhai Gate No. 1 again on my next visit to Dali."

"This guesthouse is located in a villa community, offering a very safe environment. Taxis can pick you up right at the doorstep, and there's a shop downstairs where you can rent electric scooters! It's about 12 km from Ideal State and approximately 22 km from the Ancient City. There are also many restaurants within a 3 km radius! The guesthouse owner was incredibly welcoming and enthusiastic, helping us with our luggage and giving us recommendations on where to visit and local restaurants – very thoughtful! It was spacious enough for our family of four, and when you open the curtains, you have a beautiful view of Erhai Lake!"

"On a friend's recommendation, we chose to stay at the Erhai Tianyu Apartment in Xiaguan. Our family was driving from Kunming to Dali for the holiday. The landlady was a very kind lady who personally greeted us at the parking lot and helped with our luggage. The apartment belonged to her; it was clean, spacious, with two bedrooms, two living rooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, and two balconies. It was fully furnished and equipped with appliances, and there were even travel guides provided by her on the appliances, making us feel right at home. We could see Erhai Lake from the living room and master bedroom. The street downstairs was lined with restaurants, and just across the street were the Xiaguan Wharf and Xingsheng Bridge. Being in old Xiaguan, everything was very convenient! 👍 When we were leaving, because our child was doing homework, the landlady even agreed to extend our check-out time. A very pleasant trip!"
