GGuest User1. The room decor and amenities (including hygiene and toiletries) are all up to 5-star hotel standards. The hotel's location is also excellent, making it convenient to get to the airport, high-speed rail, and major attractions. There are many restaurants downstairs. 2. The balcony offers stunning views of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake, perfect for watching sunrises and sunsets. It even has a swing, ideal for enjoying tea and relaxing. 3. The hotel butler service is very attentive and responds quickly to any issues. They provide complimentary airport transfers and even free hotel shuttle services to attractions. 4. There's a complimentary late-night snack every day, and rice noodles are available all day. The fridge is stocked with various beverages, and the room comes with a tea set, tea table, and coffee machine. A basket of fresh fruit is provided daily – more than you can possibly eat! 5. Upon departure, we received complimentary local specialty flower cakes and tea, adding to the pleasant surprises. 6. This hotel is very suitable for family vacations. We hope to visit again in the future.

GGuest UserI decided to stay in Xizhou for one night and wanted to find a hotel with local characteristics to experience it, so I found this hotel. I navigated to the intersection and called the front desk. They came out to greet me immediately and helped me carry my bag. They were very enthusiastic. The hotel gave people a big contrast. The exterior wall looked very shabby, but it was another scene when I entered the yard. It had a Chinese retro flavor. The hotel was very quiet and the decoration design was the simple style I liked. The staff was very friendly, the service was great, and the breakfast was rich enough. I recommend friends who like old yards to experience it!

AAnonymous User1. **Check-in Area:** The check-in counter, or front desk, was quite shabby. The computer keyboard was practically caked in grime, and don't even get me started on the sofa next to it – it looked very unhygienic. 2. **Dining:** The breakfast area was a bit cramped, with just four small tables by the street. If you're a party of more than two, you'd have to sit separately, or you might even have to stand and wait for a table. The coffee, however, was good. I only had breakfast once: a cold quinoa salad (see Photo 6) served with bread that had an overpowering artificial creamer flavor. I had been looking forward to the rice noodles for the next day, but serving didn't start until 8:30 AM, which was far too late for my rumbling stomach. Early risers and those who prefer hot meals should seriously consider other options or make alternative arrangements. 3. **Room (2nd floor) - Noise Issues:** Don't even think about getting any sleep at night. After 11 PM, there was still noise along the street, along with the clanging of the garbage truck. (Seriously, I'd strongly advise against staying in the Old Town.) The next day, it started pouring before dawn, and the sound of the heavy rain kept me awake as well. 4. **Room - Facility Issues:** The room I stayed in was supposedly the quietest in the entire hotel. It featured a large bathtub and a bathroom where the toilet and shower area lacked wet/dry separation. Unable to deal with the wet floor, I decided to shower in the bathtub. That's when I discovered Problem #1: the glass partition was completely transparent, with no curtain or frosted glass. The staff member claimed this was 'design.' Then came Fatal Problem #2: the bathtub had no running water, haha! 😄 5. **Room - Odor Issues:** Upon entering, there was a strong musty smell. The staff claimed it was due to 'raw wood,' but it's been 8 years and it still smells like that? Quite amusing. 6. **Staff (Pre-Check-in):** Before I even checked in, they asked me to cancel my booking on the platform and pay them privately for a discounted rate. I have this in writing. This is definitely a huge red flag, and I'm surprised they even dared to suggest it. 7. **Staff (General):** The individuals themselves were nice enough, but I was surprised to find that all the 'Jixiashan' staff were quite young, without uniforms, and seemingly without direct supervision, which gave a very disorganized and casual impression. 8. **Housekeeping:** I was quite satisfied with the housekeeping. Seeing the clean duvet and towels gave me peace of mind (P.S. the pillows were also comfortable). The hotel's facilities are very old; no matter how clean the bathroom tiles were, they still looked run-down, compounded by the dim lighting. Therefore, I feel the housekeeping staff here really have a tough job. 9. **Building Structure:** One morning, during a heavy downpour, when I opened my 2nd-floor room door, the entrance was essentially flooded up to my heels. It was quite a feat that the water didn't spread into the room. At night, there were no lights, so I had to grope my way back to the room along the dark corridor. It would be quite difficult for someone who doesn't remember their way (see Photos 1-2). 10. **Hotel Amenities:** One night, I heard the guest next door return, unable to open their door with the key, and had to call a staff member for help. They chatted for a bit outside the door before the staff member finally told the guest a 'trick': 'The key needs to be inserted a certain way, and the lock has a particular mechanism...' That's quite a struggle – needing a special technique just to get back to your room! 11. **Minor Details:** The room key had a very large, bulky leather tag attached to it. Absolutely no consideration for travelers on long journeys with limited luggage space. Who would want to carry such a bulky thing around? I originally had high hopes for the 'Jixiashan' brand. When I was in Shangri-La, I heard their Meili store had a collaboration with Kolon, which made me think they had good taste. This Dali Ancient City location is their first store, but it turned out to be such a low standard. Given the daily rate, I guess I understand why. This particular store cannot be found on 'Jixiashan's' mini-program; it's categorized under 'Wang Shenme Chuan Qu Le'.

YYanyulaoshiWhat a pleasant surprise to find this hidden gem of a guesthouse right at the foot of Cangshan Mountain! I was absolutely delighted. First and foremost, the service was impeccable. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and sensed the utmost sincerity. The hosts were incredibly warm and attentive; they answered all our questions, proactively helped with our luggage, and even offered great recommendations for local attractions and activities. They treated us like old friends, making our stay incredibly comfortable and pleasant. The cleanliness was absolutely top-notch. Our room was spotless, every corner meticulously cleaned, and the bedding was fresh and comfortable. We felt completely at ease staying here. My favorite part, however, was their garden – it's truly a dream! The flowers and plants were immaculately trimmed, and from the courtyard, you can enjoy stunning views of Cangshan Mountain. Basking in the sun with a cup of tea, you can instantly feel the pace of life slow down. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing place to stay at the foot of Cangshan Mountain.

Ddu2912Stay at the Colorful Clouds Hotel in Dali Old Town, a tranquil retreat amidst the bustling city, immersing yourself in the Bai ethnic charm. Located on Luyu Road, the hotel is within walking distance of the South Gate of the Old Town and boasts convenient private parking. The five courtyards, with their blue-tiled roofs and stone walls, are surrounded by nearly 50% greenery, with the clear Yuxi River flowing through them, creating a secluded garden-like haven. Guest rooms feature custom-made wooden furniture, adorned with Jianchuan wood carvings and Bai embroidery, and floor-to-ceiling windows offering excellent natural light. The butler service is warm and attentive; a morning stroll through the Old Town awaits, and a warm evening milk soothes away fatigue. The breakfast offers a diverse selection, including authentic and delicious Yunnan-style rice noodles. An outdoor swimming pool and elegant common areas ensure a truly relaxing stay in Dali, making it the top choice for accommodation in the Old Town!

GGuest UserOne day in Haidong, as if living in a picture frame I stayed in Kunming for two days on the weekend to escape from work Originally, I planned to stay in Haixi for two nights. By coincidence, I had dinner with an old friend at this hotel. I was shocked by the sunset in the restaurant. The key is that such a beautiful restaurant tastes good, so I decisively checked out of the room in Haixi and decided to stay immediately I booked a family room. The room is very large and the bed is super comfortable. The room is in a single-family villa with a large and beautiful terrace garden for taking pictures and watching the sea. There is also a function area downstairs where you can cook and play mahjong. It is very suitable for families or sisters to travel together The afternoon tea served in the sea view restaurant is also very exquisite. Sitting in the restaurant, you can overlook the 19 peaks and 18 streams of Cangshan Mountain. The unpredictable clouds cover the top of the mountain like snow. After a while, they slowly roll over and coil between the mountains like jade belts. Columns of light pass through the sky like crystals. I sat and watched the clouds for an afternoon, and I felt that I couldn’t see enough.

GGuest UserLangyue Hotel is beautifully situated by Erhai Lake in Wenbi Village. The garden at the entrance is absolutely stunning, with every corner offering a fantastic photo opportunity. The staff at the hotel were also incredibly welcoming and attentive. I arrived at the hotel after 10 PM, feeling quite unwell due to motion sickness from the journey. The hotel was almost fully booked at the time, with only one room left. The front desk staff member was incredibly thoughtful; he proactively helped me with my luggage, first escorted me to my room to rest and relax, and then brought a QR code up to my room later for check-in. This was truly exceptional service. The next morning at breakfast, the lovely lady in charge of the breakfast area enthusiastically helped me put on a Bai ethnic hat, patiently showing me how to wear it more elegantly. Her service was both warm and patient. The room itself was also very comfortable, and the garden and balcony offered beautiful views. It was a stunning photo opportunity in itself; I filmed several short videos and took some photos to share. Once again, thank you, Langyue Hotel, for not only providing comfortable accommodation but also delivering a truly uplifting and memorable experience. 💖

Very Good
GGuest UserI'm so impressed with myself for booking such a wonderful hotel, and no, I'm not a shill! 😂 Since I was traveling with elderly family members who needed looking after, this private villa with its own courtyard was perfect. They stayed on the first floor and we were on the second, making it easy to call out to each other. We could all gather in the common area downstairs to eat and chat, and when the weather was warm, we also enjoyed sitting on the second-floor terrace and in the ground-floor courtyard. During the day, cars aren't allowed into the ancient city until after 11 PM. So, the hotel directed us to the West Gate ecological parking lot and sent a luggage cart to pick us up. Only one guest could ride in it, so the elderly members got off at the Bo'ai Road intersection, entered the city gate, and then walked to the hotel. Be careful walking near the hotel entrance; the stone slabs are very smooth and worn.

GGuest UserWhat a truly beautiful guesthouse! It features a lovely, spacious yard, and even has a friendly dog and cat. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside, sipping tea and taking in the scenery. The only small drawback was the mosquitoes, but apart from that, our stay was absolutely delightful.
