The owners were very welcoming; the owner was lovely, had a story to tell, and was very talkative. The whole family was very friendly and helpful, even helping with our luggage – thank you so much!! Actually, I wasn't really into the food in Dali this time, and was a little disappointed, but the owner recommended some nearby ”non-trendy” restaurants: Blueberry Fish and Ganggang Rice Noodles. They were within walking distance, delicious, and in a great location – right next to the March Street Market, and there's also a Lotus Root Shop nearby, which is great for browsing. It's also very convenient to walk to the Old Town.
And!! Peach the dog is so cute! A chubby little dog, so adorable and easy to pet. He even got up later than us this morning, haha!
Hope to see him again sometime!

GGuest UserI was a little scared when I first got on the bus into the village, but after entering it exceeded my expectations! Being able to stay in a hotel with such facilities at this price next to the airport is really cost-effective.
It is a restaurant and accommodation integrated into one. Meals can be packed and sent upstairs to eat. I ordered sweet and sour pork ribs and stir-fried vegetables, which were delicious.
The rooms are newly decorated, better than hotels in the city. TV, WiFi, air conditioning, bathroom all worked cleanly and in good condition. The shower is a piano-key four-speed shower, so comfortable! There was a little problem with the WiFi in the middle. They came to fix it right away after I called. It was much more efficient than other hotels 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
It's super close to the airport, about ten minutes drive, and you can take me to the airport at around five in the morning, thank you 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

AAnonymous UserThis youth hostel experience completely exceeded my expectations! The moment I entered, I was immediately captivated by the lively atmosphere in the lobby—someone was singing and playing guitar at a long wooden table, travel guides from various regions lined the bookshelves, and green plants in the corners glowed with warm light. I instantly felt a sense of belonging, ”on the road.”
My six-person room was much tidier than I'd imagined. Each bed had a blackout curtain, a charging port, and its own small light. The top bunk even had a rack for my backpack. The sheets were washed white but odorless, and the mattress was just the right firmness. I didn't even hear the bed frame creak when I turned over in the middle of the night. The shared bathroom was surprisingly cleaned every morning and evening, with a constant supply of shampoo and shower gel. Even the mirror was polished to a shine!
The most surprising thing about the hostel was its ”hidden services”: the front desk guy hand-painted a local snack map, highlighting the cheap eats frequented by locals. In the evening, I shared a hot pot with friends from Yunnan and Xinjiang, and even got to enjoy some glutinous rice noodles made by a Xinjiang girl. I forgot to bring my charger before leaving, so the front desk lent me a spare and even gave me two mints as a ”keep me going” before I left.
Staying here didn't feel like staying in a hotel; it felt like staying at a friend's house—the warm lights in the lobby were always on when I returned late at night.

The location is very convenient for getting around; the hotel offers electric scooter rentals, and there are car rental agencies and bus stops just a few hundred meters away. It's also very close to Yincang Road and Pingdeng Road, which have many interesting small shops. If you're looking for morning coffee, evening drinks, or independent bookstores, they're all within walking distance. The hotel has spacious common areas; the lobby on the first floor has a great atmosphere for socializing, while the second floor is perfect for studying (and there are cute cats to pet!).

AAnonymous UserAround 10min walk from railway station to the hotel. The host is lovely and she allows us for an early check in. The room size is quite small for 4 ppl but we stay here for 1 night so it’s acceptable with price and location. The location is perfect, few minute walk to bus station no.4 and you can just take this bus all the way to three pagoda, or Dali old town. From Dali old town, you can also take didi to the famous lake. Dali old town is very happening at night.

GGuest UserThe staff are friendly and the location isn't far from Dali Ancient City. It's a wonderful place where guests can all gather together to eat and chat. If you're traveling alone or enjoy socializing and conversing with people, this hotel is perfect. In the evenings, there's true communication over a bonfire and beer. Everyone seems happy and full of energy. Thanks to them, I'm leaving with a lot of good vibes. I had planned to stay for two nights, but I finished sightseeing faster than expected and unfortunately changed accommodations to see the eastern side of Erhai Lake. If I come to Dali again, I definitely want to stay here once more.

GGuest UserThe usual hostel is undergoing renovations at the moment, so the actual accommodation is around the corner. I was quite lost until I texted the 'late entrance' phone number by chance and the owners father found me.
There is no bar, pool table or restaurant currently accessible but I'm sure it will be great when it reopens.
The room was lovely but very cold with a big gap under the door and a hole the size of a postcard in the bathroom. I think a more updated profile to reflect current amenities would be beneficial.

AAnonymous UserTraveling alone can be incredibly fun, especially with you all. Taoxi boasts a fantastic location near the North Gate of the old town, directly opposite Sanyue Street. Despite being close to these bustling areas, it's surprisingly quiet. I absolutely loved the huge floor-to-ceiling window, offering views of lush trees where little squirrels often play. The sunken area was our favorite spot; you could find a quiet corner to read or sit on cushions and play chess. At Taoxi, I met many like-minded travelers, and we often shared rides and meals. The owner is super nice, and the volunteer staff (both male and female) are incredibly interesting. I've even started to love lemonade with mint leaves. I'll definitely be back once everything settles down.
