"This Shuanglang B&B, highly recommended by my friend, is absolutely amazing! As soon as I walked in, I was stunned by the massive floor-to-ceiling windows. The panoramic views of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake are simply breathtaking. Every photo I took turned out to be a stunning, atmospheric shot 📸. ✨ The butler service was incredibly thoughtful! They picked us up at the intersection, helped with our luggage, making our trip with kids so much easier and stress-free. ✨ They even offer free professional travel photography! "Excellent service! 👍 The staff helped with our luggage, and they even provided extra reusable bags for free when we ran out. On our first day, they gave us recommendations for nearby attractions. Every night, they offered warm milk before bed, and we also enjoyed two days of afternoon tea, which included pomelo tea, egg tarts, and fruit (you can refer to the photos, but the strawberries and blueberries were our own). Doing laundry might take a bit longer, especially if you go at night (the stairs from the 3rd to 4th floor are a bit dim). Overall, the service is great. The only minor issue is that the trash can might get full quickly if you order takeout (you can ask the staff for a slightly larger bag for your rubbish). ✔️"

"The location is fantastic, directly across from the Dali Ancient City Tourist Center. There's a large open space in front of the tourist center, making it very convenient for taxis and parking, though it can get a bit congested during peak hours. It's a super short walk, only about 100 meters, from the hotel to the south gate of Dali Ancient City. The hotel service is also excellent. The concierge staff (young women) are incredibly warm and attentive. Any questions I had were answered quickly via WeChat. I feel their service is comparable to Haidilao. You can see the specific services offered in the pictures; there are so many! For laundry and drying, you don't even have to do it yourself; just give your dirty clothes to the concierge, and they'll return them clean the next day. Every morning, breakfast not only includes a buffet selection but each person can also order a freshly prepared main dish. I think the Zajiang Ersi (noodles with fried sauce) is the best. Although Ersi is made from rice, its texture is quite unique – sticky, moist, not slippery, and a bit chewy. The fried mini sesame balls and fried date balls from the self-serve breakfast are delicious, and the sliced, juicy sausages are also very good. See the pictures for more details. The room is super spacious, the bed is huge, and the TV is a pop-up type hidden in a cabinet (Room 106). The afternoon tea is also incredibly exquisite, featuring flower cakes, preserved fruits, fresh fruit, cookies, and three different types of tea. I'll definitely stay here again if I come back to Dali."

"The B&B owner was incredibly helpful, even assisting us with our travel itinerary! The room itself was modern and stylish, and the garden was beautifully designed and cozy. All the amenities in the room were top-notch. Plus, there's a big rooftop terrace on the third floor with amazing sunrise and sunset views. You can even spot seagulls right by the sea entrance, and the courtyard is perfect for photos! There are plenty of good restaurants and activities nearby too. Highly, highly recommend!"

XXiruoWe decided last minute to stay an extra day in Dali and booked this guesthouse, and unexpectedly, we stumbled upon a gem! It's a shame we only stayed one night because we wanted to extend our stay the next day but found it was fully booked. The hostess who checked us in was incredibly warm and welcoming; she helped us with our luggage and even brought us some fruit (the dates were absolutely delicious! Loved them!). In the morning, they also served delicious rice noodles for breakfast, even better than the ones we specifically sought out in a restaurant. Waking up and opening the window to a view of the fields really brightened our mood. We also spent some time sitting in the courtyard and playing with the two dogs before checking out and leaving. The guesthouse is very close to Longkan Pier, just a few minutes' walk away. You can easily catch a taxi right outside to go to other places. A short walk away, there's a station for Qingju electric bikes, which you can use to ride to Dali Ancient City. Next time we visit Dali, we'll definitely stay here again!

The hosts and butler provided excellent and polite service. The location is on a small lane, which might be a bit inconvenient for taxis, but that's exactly the quiet spot I was looking for. The guesthouse's cats and dogs are incredibly well-behaved; you can tell they're well-cared for and thriving in such a comfortable environment, all plump and healthy.

GGuest UserOn my previous trip to Dali, I cycled around Erhai Lake on the west side and always wished I could stay there to watch the sunrise. This time, I stumbled upon Tingyun and it truly exceeded my expectations. I arrived around noon, and as soon as I got there, they proactively helped me with my luggage and even asked if I'd had lunch, immediately arranging some rice noodles for me. Shortly after checking in, they brought a fruit platter to my room. I had been worried about finding food on the west side of the lake, but Tingyun was incredibly thoughtful, even offering late-night snacks. Although the facilities are in a village, they meet hotel standards, and the little tables and chairs are a nice touch. There are plenty of outlets, the hygiene is excellent, the showers are comfortable, and they even use a Laifen hairdryer – no cutting corners here! I must especially praise the dining hall; the food is delicious and there's a good variety. They even prepared a souvenir for me when I checked out. Now that I've found a place in Dali that feels like home, I will definitely be back. If I hadn't had to catch a train, I would have certainly stayed longer.

This was my first time staying in a room with such a fantastic view; it was incredibly good value for money. The service was also impeccable. They helped us with our luggage and gave us recommendations for fun things to do and good places to eat. Breakfast could even be delivered to our room. The breakfast portions were generous – we ended up eating it for lunch! The rice noodles were very authentic, even better than what you'd find outside. Up on the rooftop, you can swing while enjoying the sea view, and watching the sunset from there was incredibly relaxing. The wind in Dali varied from strong to gentle, which made my mood fluctuate between exhilarated and relaxed – I absolutely loved that feeling. Oh, and it's quite rare to find a B&B with an elevator, which was a really thoughtful and practical touch!

The moment I opened my room door, I was instantly captivated by the views of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake. The white-themed room, with its expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, allowed the sunlight to pour in, making even the air feel soft and gentle. Sitting by the window, listening to light music from the Marshall speaker, and watching the clouds drift by in the distance, I felt incredibly relaxed, with not a single worry on my mind. The thoughtful details in the room were also impressive: TOTO bathroom fixtures, a Dyson hairdryer, a fridge for snacks, and even a washing machine – it felt as comfortable as being at home. The bathtub in the sea-view room was perfect for evenings; soaking in the tub while watching the sunset made time itself feel gentle. The butler would prepare breakfast in advance, and Chinese afternoon tea and a sweet nightly soup were always provided. There's also a complimentary travel photography service, where you can take beautiful photos at the Sky Mirror or by the sea, capturing those serene moments. No need to rush through an itinerary, no need to overthink anything. Here, simply lying down, gazing at the sea, and daydreaming is pure bliss.

The hotel view is superb, with Erhai Lake right in front of you, and the massive windows offer panoramic views of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake! The staff were attentive, detailed, and warm. We immediately decided to extend our stay for another night! We checked in on New Year's Eve, and we were able to watch the entire drone show and fireworks from the balcony, making for a very happy stay. The kids and seniors all loved it! Welcome fruit and goodnight desserts were all provided, and breakfast was abundant!

GGuest UserThe room was well-equipped, and the quality was excellent. Stepping out, I found a beautiful garden with perfect lighting during the day, making every photo Instagram-worthy. The service was top-notch, truly butler-style. They helped with luggage and even collected my takeout, all very thoughtfully and naturally. Breakfast was simple but satisfying, and I could always ask for more. When I was checking out, the owner heard I was driving to Lijiang and specifically recommended taking the Niusha route, suggesting a stop at Shaxi Ancient Town first before heading to Lijiang. The drive was stunning; the scenery in Eryuan was just as beautiful as Erhai Lake, quiet and expansive. From Shaxi, it was only about an hour's drive to Lijiang, making the whole trip leisurely and unhurried. I particularly want to thank the owner and staff for making me feel so at home. Oh, and the owner has three super cute cats, which were an unexpected highlight of my trip!

GGuest UserSpent two days in Shuanglang, Dali, and the relaxed, slow pace of life was truly enjoyable. However, it was quite challenging to find palatable food with a lighter flavor profile. Luckily, we stayed at Erhai Xinglai Inn, where they served freshly baked waffles for afternoon tea and homemade rice noodles, porridge, and other nutritious, light, and delicious breakfast options in the mornings. Enjoying the food while gazing at the sea view really helped shed a year's worth of fatigue. The three owners were especially warm and helpful [strong][strong][strong]! They provided tricycle pickups and drop-offs through the narrow alleys and even generously shared their waffle-making secrets [laughing][laughing][laughing]. The service was top-notch, and the local folk customs were incredibly simple and honest. I accidentally left my wallet somewhere, and half an hour later, it was still exactly where I'd left it, truly embodying the ancient virtue of 'no one picks up lost items on the road' [strong][strong][strong].

The customer service lady was very professional, another pleasant surprise for a B&B. The view from this room type was absolutely stunning! I enjoyed a full moon directly from my window at night and a gorgeous sunrise over Erhai Lake from inside the room in the morning. Even met the owner at breakfast, who was also very nice. I've been to Dali several times, and this stay was truly exceptional! 👍

Zzili0622The room overall was great, except for the soundproofing which was a bit weak, but it didn't affect my sleep. The proprietress was also very nice. Coincidentally, the other guests checking in at the same time all spoke Cantonese, which felt really welcoming. The location is also very convenient; it's just a short walk up a slope to Dali Ancient City, and you can even drive right to the entrance, so no need to drag your luggage around, which is a huge plus.
