"This was my parents' first trip to Yunnan, and Dali was their first stop. Since I couldn't join them, I spent a lot of time beforehand choosing a hotel. After they checked in, they found the room to be spacious and comfortable, and the hotel environment was very elegant and unique, with a distinct local flair. Most importantly, it's very close to the ancient city, making transportation and dining incredibly convenient. The hotel's concierge was exceptionally thoughtful, contacting us a day before their arrival to confirm their check-in time. The departure transfer service was arranged promptly, and the breakfast was much to their liking. Thank you for making my parents' first stop in Yunnan such a comfortable experience!"

"The suite has a very nice structure with a covered glass window and a small balcony. It is accessed by a two-story staircase and you have to carry your suitcases. Unfortunately the room would require maintenance and you have the perception of a bit of neglect. The bathroom is also very large but it does not have a handle to hold on to in order to get out of the shower, which floods with the risk of slipping. There are also signs of wear on the faucet as shown in the photo. The staff is friendly and the location is convenient but I expected something more from the room."

AAnonymous UserI came with my mom, and this guesthouse is truly amazing. I even feel it's better than whole-season hotels at the same price point. The room is very cozy, and the bed is the most comfortable I've slept in among all the hotels and guesthouses in Yunnan. The owner is a warm and welcoming guy from Northeast China, born in the 80s, and he even helped us carry our luggage. When we checked in, he gave us two ID card sleeves as a gift. He also promptly resolved any issues we had. The courtyard is absolutely beautiful, full of lush greenery, and very relaxing. Plus, there are many cute little animals at the guesthouse – cats and dogs are adorable! My favorite is Niuniu, a silly little local dog, hehehe.

MM257049****This is my seventh time in Dali, and it's the best hotel I've stayed in out of five! First off, the room layout was exactly to my liking. I could lie in bed and watch the sunrise over Erhai Lake, and there was a sofa area, a round dining table, and a large bathtub by the floor-to-ceiling windows – definitely added to the relaxing vacation vibe! The bathroom fixtures were Kohler, and the walk-in closet and vanity area were very spacious. The curtains were automatic, and the AC and curtain controls were right by the bed, which was very convenient. The breakfast was unbeatable – braised chicken wings, braised beef brisket, honey-glazed ribs, and spiced beef. Being able to enjoy a buffet until noon was seriously impressive; I'd call it the ultimate spread. I also have to commend the daily fruit plate and goodnight dessert. Other places only offer it on the first day, but here, I stayed three days and got it every day – incredibly thoughtful. The hotel's front and back yards were also fantastic. My kids loved the slide and swings in the back, and the succulent boat was thriving. The parking lot was also spacious. The nearby ecological corridor had great photo spots, and there were lots of seagulls. When I checked out, I even received a parting gift, and there was a self-service fridge with drinks and beer. A perfect 100-point review, I'll definitely be back!

JjayyyysinI had a soothing and comfortable short stay at 山隅一舍. The staff was very personable, accommodating, and kind, proactively offering tea/coffee and prepared fruit. The room was clean and had a great view of the courtyard. At check-in, she even offered to upgrade the two-bed room I had booked to a room with a single larger bed but I was happy to stay in the original room as it was already prepared. I stillfound it to be a very thoughtful offer. The beds were also equipped with heating mats, which offered great sleep in the winter weather. The neighbors have some roosters that rise early, but I found it quite charming and fitting for the “out of the big city” ambiance. I could honestly just sit in the courtyard all day watching the cat and the fish. It was truly a tranquil oasis in a town that sees many domestic and international tourists. The breakfast also tasted clean, fresh, and was promptly prepared by the host when I woke up. She was also happy to offer recommendations to both myself and other guests (I even overheard her going the extra mile, offering to pickup pastries for the other guests to try at their request). The B&B is situated very close to the ancient town without being overwhelming, which although quite commercialized, is still a fun stroll since it’s nearby. The location is also a short DiDi ride away from many sights along Erhai Lake. Dali is full of independently-run accommodations and shops like this, but this one stood out for its great hospitality and soothing environment. The cost performance was also great. A hidden gem for sure!

XXiruoWe decided last minute to stay an extra day in Dali and booked this guesthouse, and unexpectedly, we stumbled upon a gem! It's a shame we only stayed one night because we wanted to extend our stay the next day but found it was fully booked. The hostess who checked us in was incredibly warm and welcoming; she helped us with our luggage and even brought us some fruit (the dates were absolutely delicious! Loved them!). In the morning, they also served delicious rice noodles for breakfast, even better than the ones we specifically sought out in a restaurant. Waking up and opening the window to a view of the fields really brightened our mood. We also spent some time sitting in the courtyard and playing with the two dogs before checking out and leaving. The guesthouse is very close to Longkan Pier, just a few minutes' walk away. You can easily catch a taxi right outside to go to other places. A short walk away, there's a station for Qingju electric bikes, which you can use to ride to Dali Ancient City. Next time we visit Dali, we'll definitely stay here again!

Dali's spring always comes with a soft breeze, and this time, finding the 'Three-Color Cloud River Erhai Snow Store' along Erhai Lake truly embraced that romance. The white standalone villa stood bathed in the spring light, with large floor-to-ceiling windows framing the Cangshan Mountains and Erhai Lake like a painting. As I pushed open the door, the housekeeper was already smiling, taking my luggage, and even the air carried a sweet, warm scent. The room was unexpectedly soothing. The TOTO smart toilet showed meticulous attention to detail, the Dyson hairdryer blew away travel fatigue, and when the Marshall speaker played soft music, even the light and shadow softened. Standing by the sea-view bathtub, I looked up to see the sparkling Erhai Lake, and soaking in the hot water in the evening, time itself seemed to slow down. I woke up to the aroma of breakfast, freshly made congee paired with refreshing side dishes, and the housekeeper thoughtfully remembered I don't eat green onions. In the afternoon, I enjoyed a Chinese afternoon tea at the sea-view cafe, with exquisite desserts I almost couldn't bear to eat. In the evening, I went to the rooftop 'Sky Mirror' for photos, where a professional travel photographer captured moments of me with Erhai Lake in the background. Before bed, the housekeeper brought warm goodnight sweet soup, and the snacks in the mini-bar still had the crisp sound of being freshly opened. Upon checking out, I received a special souvenir, which turned out to be a small, heartfelt gift. It turns out that the good times in Dali aren't just about the wind and the sea, but also about a place like this, which hides the tenderness of spring in every single detail.

MMichelle 琪惠The service is great. There’s no need to carry your luggage or walk for pick-up or drop-off at 双廊半岛超市—someone will handle your bags and bring you over on a buggy. I was even upgraded to a room with a view. Each time you enter or leave, you’ll be warmly greeted by the same individual, likely the manager, who also reminds guests to dress warmer if the temperature dips. Breakfast (8:30-10:30) changes daily, and they warm up milk (21:00-22:00) if you’d like some. There’s also a bar on site, though I didn’t try it this time. The room is thoughtfully furnished with a Marshall speaker (Bluetooth) and diffuser, and you can even choose the scent you prefer. The location is ideal for anyone seeking both convenience and tranquillity. It’s close to many attractions: right next to the pier and 双廊古镇, and about a 15-minute walk to the gallery and exhibition at Yang Liping’s former residence (杨丽萍太阳宫). It’s walking distance to a few popular eateries as well. You may need to walk abit if you’re going to the viral cafes further out near Muxi Dali (alternatively, you can get those buggy to transport you at a fee). It becomes peaceful in the evenings once the day-trippers leave, so you can enjoy the sunrise and sunset in calm surroundings—perfect for sipping a cup of Yunnan tea while taking in the view (see photos).

The environment is very nice, truly overlooking a stream valley. If you book a terrace room, you can hear the rumbling sound of water right below the balcony. It happened to be a rainy day, and sitting on the balcony listening to the sound of the stream was a rare experience.

KKatherineliewtanWe stayed at Lishe seaview resort hotel for 2 nights. The hotel upgraded us to a two-room apartment which I did not expect! The apartment had spectacular view of Erhai in the living room and master bedroom. I had the foresight of having one free and easy day and we pretty much stayed in most of the time to soak in the view. The staff service was amazing. The team reached out to me via trip.com the day before we check in (fantastic initiative) as overseas visitors like me are not familiar with the WeChat usage. When we arrive, the staff were on standby to receive us and bring us to the apartment as we got there via our own driver. The hotel sent nightly desert (white fungus) to our apartment. One important aspect of the hotel is the delicious and wide spread of breakfast. The breaky was on the highest floor offering great views of Erhai, and the lady attendant there was polite, cheerful and has great service. When we checked, the hotel staff came to the apartment and send us to the car. They also presented a farewell bag of goodies - including rose Chinese cakes (which were super delicious!), tea and sweets. It was an awfully thoughtful gesture. I had the rose Chinese cake during breaky and loved them. So I was super happy to find them in the farewell gift. I would strongly recommend a stay here if you are in Dali. Fellow Singaporeans- you would love this place! I think even if I did not get the upgrade, I would have loved the view too. Just keep one day of doing nothing and enjoy the beautiful view and the hotel hospitality. The hotel staff were service oriented, always smiling, polite and helpful. I mean every staff we encountered, even the cleaning staff! This hotel was a great highlight of our Dali stay. I would definitely come back to stay at Lishe when next back to Dali.

MM434937****This hotel is located right in Shuanglang Ancient Town, and our room's window opened up to Erhai Lake – the view was absolutely stunning, and the public areas were even more beautiful, almost unfairly so! No need to worry about being in the ancient town; they help with luggage transport directly to your room. The service here is excellent, very responsive to all requests, and incredibly efficient. Breakfast and afternoon tea offer a rich variety and are delicious. They also provide free travel photography and a complimentary goodnight sweet soup. There's even a friendly little cat at the hotel. I appreciated the thoughtful touches like disposable toilet seat covers and disposable face towels in the bathroom. I've already recommended it to my friends, and I'll definitely choose this place again if I have the chance!
