"My overall experience at Dali Huoshan Hotel was fantastic. The hotel's location and surroundings are very peaceful. What I loved most was the view; the expansive scenery allowed me to see distant mountains on clear days. Waking up and pulling back the curtains in the morning instantly brightened my mood, and the evening light was especially beautiful, perfect for photos and relaxation. The room was clean and tidy, spacious, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The hotel's common areas were also well-designed, creating a natural and comfortable ambiance without feeling overly commercialized. The staff were warm and attentive; check-in was smooth, and they responded promptly whenever I needed assistance. The breakfast tasted good and offered a decent variety. It's an ideal place to slow down and stay for a few days when visiting Dali, and I'd definitely return given the chance."

"The hotel is relatively new, located directly opposite the pier for boat tours on Erhai Lake. I stayed for two nights over the weekend and wasn't bothered by any noise from the road. The room had a JBL speaker, a humidifier, complimentary welcome fruit, and free soft drinks in the mini-fridge. They also offered a complimentary 'starry sky' afternoon tea on the top floor. The gym and swimming pool on the 23rd floor offer great views. Bathroom amenities, hairdryer, and breakfast are all as pictured. It's about 8 km from the ancient city and 10 km from the airport, so it's conveniently located between the two. There are many dining options downstairs, and you can also take a stroll to Erhai Park. The service was excellent; they called to remind me and provide information the day before check-in, and there was a selection of pillows available. Soundproofing was average, but luckily, my neighbors were quiet during my two-day stay. The breakfast restaurant is a bit small but offers specialty rice noodles, roasted sweet potatoes, and roasted potatoes. Overall, it's decent, though it can't compare to Shangri-La. It's comparable to the Dali Shili Hilton. The Shili Hilton's facilities are a bit older, but the rooms are larger, and it's closer to the ancient city, the Erhai Lake corridor, and the Cangshan Mountain cableway, though further from the airport."

"When I came to Dali this time, I looked at a lot of scenic hotels and finally played it safe by choosing the Indigo Hotel Dali. In terms of location, the hotel is right on the coastal avenue by Erhai Lake. The view is excellent, and there are many dining options nearby. The hotel generally maintains Indigo's consistent design aesthetic. The lobby design has a strong Dali character, and the public areas facing Erhai Lake are impressive. The overall check-in experience and service were decent and up to standard. The small gift given at checkout was a thoughtful touch. This stay was in a 180-degree balcony lake view room. The overall room size isn't huge; including the balcony, it's over 40 square meters, but the indoor space feels a bit cramped. The amenities are the familiar Indigo brand, and the bedding is good, although the bed isn't very large. The room has a complimentary minibar, which is a plus. Of course, the room's biggest feature and value is the view directly facing Erhai Lake. The 180-degree lake view coupled with good weather made me overlook any other minor issues with the hotel. However, the first-row lake view also means street noise, and even with the glass, there was still some noise. Regarding dining, I only experienced the complimentary afternoon tea this time. Since it was free, I can't complain; it was an average afternoon tea, haha. There are many Yunnan restaurants around the hotel. The hotel itself has a buffet restaurant, which you can try if you don't want to go out. Overall, if you want a great view and don't want to risk a bad guesthouse, choosing Indigo Hotel Dali is a safe bet for Erhai Lake. The overall service maintained its standard. The view is absolutely stunning. For those prioritizing the view, I recommend starting with the 180-degree view room types, and it's best to choose floors 6 and above for a better overall experience."

"Pros: Great location, new rooms, good privacy, and enthusiastic staff. Areas for improvement: 1. The hotel needs to clarify its positioning. If it's a high-end family-friendly hotel, then the kids' programs need to be well-developed to keep children engaged. If it's positioned as a high-end resort for adults, then there should be clear restrictions on young children to ensure public areas, including restaurants, remain quiet and orderly. For a hotel at this price point, the environment should meet guests' expectations. 2. Improve accessibility for self-driving guests. All three roads leading in and out of the hotel are single-lane, making it incredibly difficult to pass oncoming vehicles. My car was scratched on the way out. 3. Service details need improvement. One day, we returned to our room at 1 PM to find it hadn't been cleaned. On another day, around 3 PM, we found standing water on the bathroom floor – I'm not sure how the cleaning staff managed that. We had three people staying, but only ever received two bath towels. The restaurant staff lacked experience and weren't attentive enough. When settling the bill, they never asked if I had any discount vouchers (which resulted in me paying full price for 4 out of 5 meals, charged to the room, and non-modifiable)."

"Staying at Songyun Cliff was a fantastic experience. The hotel is nestled against the mountains and overlooks the sea, offering a romantic and expansive setting with incredible cliffside views. The guest rooms are well-equipped and very comfortable. The butler service was attentive and quick to resolve any issues. The hotel provides vehicles for guest use, saving the hassle of finding taxis when going out. They also offer customized outdoor BBQ options, perfect for gathering with friends by the cliff, enjoying dinner while watching the Erhai sunset – truly a relaxing and laid-back holiday vibe. It's definitely a top choice for a resort hotel in Haidong."

"Looking for a lively yet quiet place for a family vacation with the kids? If you want a vibrant atmosphere, head to the Old Town. If you prefer peace and quiet, explore the less crowded环海 Road for pleasant surprises. This time, as always, I chose Hilton. The hotel room was clean and tidy, and they even provided a drying rack. The butler was incredibly attentive and met all our needs, even recommending great places to eat and visit. We had so much fun outside that we didn't even get to try some of the hotel's complimentary activities! 😂 The butler also checked in on our travel status frequently, ensuring a worry-free trip. I'm definitely considering staying here again next time!"

"This is by far the most comfortable hotel I've stayed at in Dali. It's designed with a beautiful garden aesthetic, and the air is just amazing. The whole hotel feels like a grand estate. The staff are so warm and attentive. The facilities are incredibly comprehensive: a book bar, a regular bar, a sports hall, a restaurant, and a gym (with tons of equipment, which I, as someone who works out daily, absolutely loved!). What I want to praise most about the room is the incredibly spacious shower area, with excellent wet/dry separation. I really love this room type. The breakfast selection is rich and varied, and they even have卡通餐盘 (cartoon-themed plates) – so thoughtful for families traveling with children!"

"The location is remote, halfway up a hill. You have to walk up a very secluded slope to get there. The breakfast is bad, and the grounds and lobby are old and run-down. The gym is terrible. The outdoor pool is useless given the cold weather in Dali. Most importantly, the hotel finally admitted that the 'one car, one person, one driver' service is actually a collaboration with a third-party car service (to shirk responsibility) and not hotel staff or vehicles at all. The hotel deliberately misled guests during their stay by claiming it was their car and staff. If you get into that car, you're essentially being exploited. The driver will try to control your itinerary and recommend so-called restaurants where you'll get ripped off. If you don't use their car, then good luck – it'll take you an hour to walk to the old town. This hotel is trash. They show no sincerity, only offering empty apologies. They make you feel like your ruined plans and suffering are your own fault. This hotel is dodgy. Be careful if you choose to stay here."

"Extremely satisfied! The hotel's location is fantastic, right by the South Gate of the old city, making sightseeing incredibly convenient. We stayed in a rooftop room with an absolutely stunning view! We had a close-up look at the majestic Cangshan Mountains and the mysterious clouds circling them. The service was very attentive! The front desk staff were so kind, and a charming young man enthusiastically helped us with our luggage both when checking in and checking out. [Room Perks] Brand-name hydrating facial mask: After a relaxing bath in the evening with bath salts and rose petals, applying a face mask was pure bliss!"

"Excellent stay, service and cleanliness across the beautiful property and the room! We were upgraded to a nicer area without having to ask. Breakfast selection is good and the staff were so kind and accomodating throughout our stay. There’s a nice pool that the kids enjoyed. Self service laundry is also available at the hotel. Location is perfect - a short 5 minute walk to Dali Ancient Town. Truly felt 5 star! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"
