"I loved this place, especially my booked room. The room is really comfortable and the view is amazing (You can see the Erhai Lake from your own balcony). I really enjoyed sitting at the balcony and watched the view quietly. Unfortunately, there is no elevator at the hotel, but the front desk guy will help you with the luggages. The hotel is located 10-min away from the railway station, but a bit far from the tourist attractions. You will have to take Didi to visit the Three pagodas or the ancient town."

"This hotel is great; the rooms are spacious, clean, and bright. The breakfast is incredibly diverse and was the best I had during my stay in Dali. The laundry room is also excellent and convenient to use. The front desk staff are very helpful, attentive, and thorough, and the valet service for the parking garage was consistently on point—kudos to them. Plus, there's a bus stop right outside, which really helps with the difficulty of finding taxis in Dali."

"The location is absolutely fantastic! It's right next to Erhai Gate, and you can walk to Renmin Road in just a few minutes, making it super convenient for exploring the ancient city. The inn itself has a scenic rooftop tea room. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the Wi-Fi is fast. There's also a free self-service laundry room. The owner is very welcoming and provides great tips for sightseeing and dining in the ancient city. It’s a quiet oasis amidst the hustle and bustle, offering excellent value for money. Definitely my top choice when visiting Dali!"

"This hotel is very close to the high-speed train station; you can walk there right after exiting. Since I had a layover in Chongqing and sweat a lot, my clothes smelled like hotpot. I used the self-service laundry room, and I have to commend the staff for being truly responsible. After my husband washed our clothes late at night, he left. The staff helped dry them and left them at the front desk. Room service was also very satisfactory and responsive. Because Erhai Park is also a boat dock, if you want to tour the lake, staying at this hotel is very convenient. The family rooms are really popular during the summer holidays, especially for families where children, big or small, need separate beds – this room type is just perfect. I hope the hotel can offer more affordable family suites in the future, where kids have their own separate, well-ventilated small room. That would be even more convenient for parents of different genders with older children. The river view from the room is also a nice bonus."

"A Wonderful Stay Made Special by the People We are a group of six travelers from Thailand and booked three rooms for two nights at Yuntang Luxury Resort Hotel Dali. Our stay was truly memorable, and we were very impressed with the hotel. The location is excellent, and the rooms are beautiful, comfortable, and have a genuine sense of luxury. However, what impressed us the most was the people. From check-in to breakfast service, the staff were attentive, friendly, and communicated with us very clearly. They took great care of us throughout our stay. Most importantly, they went out of their way to help arrange transportation for our group to Dali Railway Station, which made our departure so much easier. We have also included photos of the two staff members who assisted us throughout our stay. We would especially like the hotel management to recognize them. They are kind-hearted, genuinely caring, and wonderful representatives of the hotel. People like them are truly an asset to the business. Thank you for creating not only a beautiful hotel, but also such warm and thoughtful hospitality. "Before checking in, I was a bit worried it might be noisy inside the ancient city, but I later found this guesthouse to be incredibly quiet. We stayed in the back courtyard, so there was almost no noise at all. I slept soundly through the night, which was wonderfully comfortable. When I had nothing to do, I'd just sit on a chair by the door and relax. The courtyard is also very well-maintained, with various flowers and plants, making for a very relaxing atmosphere. The inn's cats are adorable, and my favorite is the little blue cat, Gangdan. It's very playful, often running off to explore and then returning on its own when it's had enough fun – so clever! Sometimes, it even comes to the back courtyard to play with us. As a cat lover, I was completely charmed. The rooftop observation deck also offers a fantastic view; it's a great spot to just wander around and enjoy the breeze. The inn is well-equipped; the rooms have tables and chairs, and the TV is even a Sharp, so the amenities are quite solid. Whenever we needed anything during our stay, the owner was very quick to respond, and the service was excellent. The owner also recommended a mushroom hotpot that was absolutely delicious and authentic. Overall, there was nothing unpleasant about our stay. It's quite rare to find such a quiet and comfortable place within the ancient city, and I would definitely consider coming back here on my next trip to Dali."

"This stay was fantastic! The small balcony in the room had a great view, perfect for enjoying a meal while admiring the scenery – very pleasant. The popcorn, cookies, and fruit served at afternoon tea were delicious, and the thick rice noodles with corn, sweet potato, and eggs at breakfast were also very tasty. The room was both modern and clean, and the butler was quick and helpful with any issues during my stay, providing attentive and efficient service. The guesthouse had a quiet and comfortable environment, perfect for a relaxing vacation, and I would definitely stay here again!"

"My 15-day vacation has come to an end, and I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. I particularly want to highlight their facilities and cleanliness. The facilities are truly excellent. The room features smart home control, allowing you to open/close curtains and adjust lighting with just a voice command – very high-tech. The bedding is high-thread-count, soft and gentle on the skin, and the pillows are just the right height, especially comfortable for those with neck issues. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, making it very convenient to use. The shower has strong and consistent water pressure, which I really appreciate. I must especially praise the cleanliness of the room; as a neat freak, I was extremely comfortable! As soon as I entered the room, I felt at ease. The floor was spotless, even when walking barefoot, the sheets and duvet covers were perfectly white and tidy, and the sink, shower, and toilet were all impeccably clean. Even the inside of the kettle was free of scale, which made my stay very reassuring. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient for transportation. Taxis can drop you right at the hotel entrance, which is something I value most because dragging luggage over the cobblestone streets of the old city is a real hassle. Having experienced that on my last visit, I specifically chose this hotel where taxis can directly access. The service staff were also friendly and courteous. I've already recommended this hotel to my friends."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Lily Pad Hostel and would happily return. It offers excellent value for money and is a great base for exploring Dali. The hostel is in a good location, just a little outside the main town. It’s an easy walk, although you do need to cross some busy roads, which could be a little challenging if you’re travelling with small children. The room was clean, and the bed sheets were spotless. We also had a lovely view from the landing. There were some friendly resident bunnies wandering around, and we enjoyed having a ping pong table to use during our stay. The only minor downside was that the shower temperature was a little inconsistent, switching between hot and cold. Aside from that, we were very comfortable and really enjoyed our stay. We would thoroughly recommend Lily Pad Hostel to anyone visiting Dali and would definitely stay here again."
