"Located right in front of ErHai and its view is simply amazing. It’s located near the main road which means Didi car can pick up with no issue. Coffee and tea are offered at the lobby. Basic amenities are provided in the room. Check in/out is fast and any query can be addressed via WeChat. The toilet glass wall is translucent and though having blinds can kind of see the others’ shadow clearly when in use. The only cons is having to go up down the stairs 4 level every day which is inconvenient for elderly. But overall it’s a recommended stay."

"The front desk service was truly five-star! The room was clean and hygienic, and the lovely lady at the front desk provided incredibly thoughtful service. She contacted guests in advance to give directions to the parking entrance, and once inside, the signage was very clear, making it easy to find the hotel elevator. The same was true when leaving. Highly recommended and five-star worthy!"

"Great location, just beside Muslim restaurant. Around 1 km to Dali Ancient Town, and easy to get Didi. Heads up, no elevator but for check in , the receptionist will take your luggage to your room. Overall, great price with the services offered."

"The hotel is within a 10-minute walk from Dali Station, which is super convenient. It's clean and the staff are very enthusiastic, especially the ladies at the front desk who are always ready to answer any questions. 👍 The breakfast offers a wide variety of choices."

"The hotel seems fairly new, and the facilities are decent overall. However, there were no disposable cups. The makeup remover pads shed fibers when I used them on my face. The bathroom door mechanism was a bit finicky and annoying. When I first arrived, the woman at the front desk was on the phone and didn't acknowledge me, even when she saw me walk in. I had to proactively ask her if she was checking people in, and she continued her call while asking if I was checking in. Later, when I came back from exploring, my room was stuffy and hot. Since the front desk was just a few steps away, I went to ask if the air conditioning could be adjusted. She then coldly told me I could send a message on WeChat! I was speechless 😓! I was already at the front desk, just adjust it, right? Then, she reluctantly adjusted it with a sour face. While it's an international youth hostel with a decent environment, the front desk's professionalism and service attitude are really lacking! It made for an uncomfortable experience."

"Staying at Hongling Pavilion was such a delightful and cozy experience. The owner's wife thoughtfully met us at the intersection and helped with our luggage, and the whole family was warm and welcoming. The courtyard is filled with beautiful, thriving plants and flowers, and the traditional Bai-style architecture creates a serene and elegant atmosphere. Little Qiqi the cat was so gentle and friendly too. Every detail here exudes warmth and care, and this lovely little courtyard truly smoothed away all the fatigue from our travels."

"Great hotel located at the entrance of Dali ancient city. Walkable to the ancient city in less than 5 minutes, food haven, and Erhai lake. Quiet and secluded from busy noises of tourists and traffics. Ideal place to stay when in Dali. Hotel and room facilities are great. Staff are polite and helpful. "This guesthouse is absolutely fantastic! The location is super convenient – really close to Sanyue Street but still quiet. Our room was spotless and we slept incredibly well. The courtyard is lovely and therapeutic, truly beautiful. The common areas are really spacious, and there's a rooftop terrace with stunning views of Cangshan Mountain behind and Erhai Lake in front. The staff are incredibly warm and helpful, always patiently assisting with any questions. Their service is truly thoughtful; when we arrived, they took our luggage straight to our room. Plus, there's complimentary breakfast and afternoon tea, and free coffee and herbal tea – so many perks! The overall atmosphere is relaxed and cozy, making you not want to leave. It offers excellent value for money. If you're visiting Dali, staying here is a guaranteed great choice. Highly recommend!"

"This hotel boasts an excellent location, just a few minutes' walk from the South Gate of the ancient city, surrounded by a food street. Taxis and food delivery services are easily accessible. The rooms are comfortable, and the bedding is clean and just right. I booked two rooms, and both mine and my children's were great; the bedding wasn't damp at all and felt very comfortable. The hotel's interior environment is fantastic, and they even provide free clothes for photo ops – my family was taking pictures until past 10 PM on our check-in night. The breakfast is exquisite, and the taste perfectly suited for someone from northern China like me; I'd have two bowls of rice noodles every day until I was stuffed! Finally, the staff's service attitude and enthusiasm were exceptionally good and diligent. This hotel is highly recommended."

"Before coming to Dali, I looked at many hotels and guesthouses, a ton of reviews and pictures, and finally chose this one. After actually staying here, I feel like I made the right choice, and my previous concerns were completely unnecessary. The rooms, lobby, and courtyard facilities all look new, like they've been recently renovated. While they might not be super 'glamorous,' there's no sense of being old or dated, which is exactly the vibe I like. The room was very clean, and the bedding and bathroom facilities were all very comfortable. The location is in an alley next to Renmin Road, and you can walk out to the main street in just 10 seconds. It's super convenient for dining, drinking, and shopping. However, when you return to the guesthouse at night, it's incredibly quiet, not noisy at all, which is so important for travelers. From the upstairs terrace, you can see the panoramic views of Cangshan Mountain and the ancient city. Both the sunrise and night views are breathtakingly beautiful. For this price, in the core area of the ancient city, it's truly excellent value. The photos are consistent with the actual place, no 'photo trickery.' The owner is also very warm and hospitable. They reminded us to bring an umbrella when it rained and to wear sunscreen when it was sunny. Overall, this guesthouse gives you a beautiful sense of being nestled in the ancient city's vibrant life while experiencing its poetic charm. I would definitely recommend it to friends!"
