"This hotel boasts an excellent location on the northwest corner of the old city, making it incredibly convenient to access the ancient town from both the North and West gates. The front desk staff were wonderfully enthusiastic and proactive; not only did they upgrade our room, but when I mentioned a smoky smell, they immediately switched us to another room, even having a cute robot deliver the new room key. Both the room and the two single beds were spacious, well-equipped, clean, and comfortable. The decor elegantly blends simplicity with cultural aesthetics. Beyond complimentary mineral water, drip coffee, and tea, the minibar also offered free beverages. Breakfast was delicious, a delightful mix of Eastern and Western cuisine, including local specialties. We happened to be there during the Lantern Festival and enjoyed freshly cooked tangyuan (glutinous rice balls). The hotel's self-service laundry room was well-appointed; my thick down jacket, which had coffee spilled on it, went from wash to dry in no time. Upon check-out, we even received custom-made Shanxi vinegar and some snacks as souvenirs. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends!"
