I am writing as a traveller with a good experience in Yihai Garden hotel in Qingdao. I checked in first time with three nights for all visits in Qingdao and as planned left my two big luggages 29 inch at the hotel for storage. I went on in an adventurous mode to Yantai and Weihai for two nights. After I returned from Yantai, I met up with the receptionist Zheng Ao Ying （郑奥瑩） who helped me to arrange for re admission into the hotel. She did in a very timely and orderly manner and gave her the best she could. A big thank you to her and the hotel for such hospitality. I am writing to encourage more travellers to travel in a more adventurous manner to see more of the cities in Shandong. With the help of the people like in this hotel I am sure things will mostly work out at the end. 谢谢。

Great hotel that was very conveniently located. We were able to get to a number of attractions using the station right next to the hotel or walking. The staff were super kind and accommodating! They took our bags all the way to our room and gave us a free upgrade to the room we booked. We had a view of the buildings that put on a light show at night. In addition they provide quite a few amenities including a room for laundry and cooking. Upon arrival they also delivered some fruits to our room, in addition to the other complimentary snacks already available.

This was my second visit to the hotel, and it never disappoints! In fact, it was even better than the first time! The suite was spotlessly clean, and the view was beyond my expectations. I’ve truly fallen in love with this hotel and will definitely return every time I visit Qingdao. The cleanliness here is exceptional, unlike anything I’ve experienced at other hotels—absolutely flawless! The reception staff were wonderful and understanding, handling everything with professionalism and positivity. I also adored the housekeeping lady; she was so kind. Despite the language barrier, she understood me and helped me a lot! My only issue was that when we went down for breakfast at 10 AM, we were told it was too late and weren’t allowed to enter. However, the family in line before us was permitted to go in and have breakfast, which was quite upsetting. Because of this, we didn’t try the buffet again, even though the delicious and varied breakfast options were one of the reasons we chose to return to this hotel. 😔 A big thank you to the staff and management for their honesty and for making this hotel truly remarkable. This definitely won’t be my last visit! ❤️🩹

SShengsheng_This was my first time staying at an Atour Light hotel. The style is really interesting, with a predominantly blue theme, making it feel more geared towards a younger crowd.
The room size was pretty standard, not particularly large, but the cleanliness and service were excellent in every aspect. The front desk staff was very enthusiastic and quickly helped with any requests we had.
However, the biggest issue with the room was the poor soundproofing. You could clearly hear people laughing or talking loudly in nearby rooms. This is definitely something that could use improvement.

From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the spotless cleanliness throughout the entire property. The lobby was bright and inviting, the hallways were pristine, and our room was immaculate. It’s clear that the housekeeping team takes great pride in their work, and it made our stay feel both safe and luxurious.
The staff deserves a special mention. Every team member we encountered, from the front desk to the dining area, was incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful. They greeted us with genuine smiles, were always ready with a local recommendation, and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. Their positive attitude really set the tone for our entire trip.
Now, let’s talk about the breakfast – it was excellent! We’ve stayed at many hotels where the complimentary breakfast is a bit of an afterthought, but not here. There was a fantastic variety of selections to choose from. We enjoyed hot items like waffles and scrambled eggs, fresh fruits, pastries, and healthy yogurts. The coffee was always fresh and piping hot, and there was a great selection of teas and chilled juices to start our day right. It’s a real game-changer to begin a day of exploring with such a satisfying and delicious meal.
What truly sealed the deal for us was the incredible value. The price was very reasonable, especially when compared to other hotels in a similar category that we've stayed at in Qingdao. You get so much more for your money here—the excellent breakfast, the modern, clean rooms, and the wonderful service make it a standout choice.
The location was another huge plus for us. The hotel is conveniently located near the metro, making it incredibly easy to get around the city without a car. Furthermore, the surrounding area is vibrant and full of life! We loved being able to step outside and find great restaurants, cafes, and shops within walking distance. It felt like we were in the heart of the action.
Finally, as non-smokers, we greatly appreciated that the entire hotel, including all rooms, was completely smoke-free. It made the environment so much more pleasant.
In summary, our stay at the Hampton by Hilton in Qingdao was practically perfect. It offers incredible value, combining cleanliness, exceptional service, a delicious breakfast, and a prime location. Breakfast is incredibly rich and varied, and the location is fantastic – just a few minutes' walk to May Fourth Square, and right across the street from Qingdao's bustling MixC mall. Winni, the staff member who checked us in, had an exceptional service attitude; seeing that we had elderly family with us, she thoughtfully arranged a non-smoking room on a quiet floor. The hotel gym is also quite good. The only minor issue is that the underground parking is a bit like a maze, but the parking attendant was very kind.

KKelvinTraveling with my child, I booked a king-sized bed room and was worried about the space, but the front desk upgraded us to a family-themed room, which was incredibly thoughtful! The upgraded room was a wonderful surprise, complete with a B.Duck themed tent, a Ludo game rug, and cartoon pillows. My child had a blast as soon as we entered, and all our travel fatigue instantly disappeared. The room had excellent natural light, with warm sunshine streaming through the large French windows. The wooden floor was warm and comfortable, allowing adults to relax and children to play without bothering each other.
The hotel lobby is grand and elegant, and there's also a 'Bird Club' kids' play area with slides and rocking horses, making it super convenient for parents to relax while their kids play. Molly, a staff member, provided smiling service throughout, and check-in was efficient and patient, full of care in every detail. This hotel is my top choice for family trips; the proactive and warm gesture of upgrading our room was a huge plus. I highly recommend it to families visiting Qingdao with children!

The front desk service attitude was also good. The downside is that the room isn't very soundproof, and the TV in the room didn't work. I reported the TV issue to the front desk, but it still couldn't be watched properly. Overall, the experience was decent, and the room price wasn't expensive for a National Day holiday trip.
