I'm so glad I started my Xi'an trip here. It really hit all the right spots, to the point where I seriously considered extending my stay for another day… but in the end, I decided to experience other hotels as well.
[Location] It's right by Yongning Gate, next to the city wall, perfectly avoiding the city's traffic jams, which is super convenient for those who rely on taxis for getting around. There's also a subway station nearby. Plus, there are tons of delivery options and amazing places to eat, from breakfast to dinner, snacks, bubble tea, BBQ, and late-night eats – you could literally spend all day just eating! It's also a pleasant walk to the Bell Tower.
[View] Pull back the curtains and there's the city wall. Whether it's the grandeur of the day or the dazzling lights at night, I could never get enough of it.
[Service] The service was absolutely fantastic! It's been a long time since I've experienced such heartwarming service. Every staff member was so enthusiastic and friendly, from the front desk ladies to the aunties in the restaurant. Everyone served with a smile and went out of their way to provide help within their means.
[Environment] (1) The decor, design, and murals really resonated with everyone; there are so many photo opportunities within the hotel itself. (2) Even if you don't have a city wall view room, the outdoor bar offers a spectacular view of the city wall. Sitting there watching the sunset, scrolling on your phone, and enjoying afternoon tea – it's incredibly cozy. (3) The small table in the triple room was perfect for ordering takeout with friends, happily eating and chatting, with Xi'an's city wall right outside the window. After a full meal, you can just lean back and feel completely content without even stepping out. However, if you're a workaholic and need to work overtime, the restaurant might be a more convenient spot. (4) The beds, pillows, and bath products were all very well-received.
[Facilities] The pillows, bedding, and toiletries were all highly praised.
[Activities] They offer airport pick-up and drop-off, a rubbings activity, free Hanfu rental, and there are many foreign guests as well.
[Heads-up] For city wall view rooms facing the road, because they primarily feature glass curtain walls and windows, you might hear the sound of motorcycles with loud exhausts. However, since it's not continuous, it didn't affect our sleep. But it could be a concern for those who are sensitive to noise or are very light sleepers. BUT! The front desk thoughtfully provides earplugs!
[Other] When I checked in, it felt like there weren't many guests. Perhaps it's because the price is relatively higher? Or maybe there are too many hotels in the vicinity, leading to intense competition and diverting some guests. However, with the amazing view + cultural experience + airport transfer + excellent service + great location + wonderful ambiance, I feel like it's hard to beat.

The hotel's environment and hygiene were great, but I especially want to highlight how amazing the breakfast was! It was hands down the best we had in Xi'an! My child particularly loved the Roujiamo (Chinese hamburger) at breakfast, saying it was better than any other one they'd had outside.
The only thing that could be improved is that during check-in, it would be helpful to mention the breakfast floor and opening hours. Also, if you're going to ask for a five-star review, perhaps offer a late check-out as an incentive, rather than just directly asking for it upfront.

My connection with Sheraton began years ago at the Sheraton Dameisha in Shenzhen. This trip was a quick one, so I only stayed a night at the Sheraton Xi'an Hotel, Bell Tower, but I was extremely satisfied. I was initially worried that the hotel's central location would be noisy, but upon checking in, I found the room to be surprisingly quiet despite being in a bustling area, offering both convenience and comfort. Furthermore, the staff left a deep impression on me: Jennifer proactively reached out to confirm my needs, Yukiki was flexible, enthusiastic, and thoughtful, and Hellen was meticulous and attentive. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends, and it will be my first choice when I visit Xi'an again.

We had a fantastic stay at the Crowne Plaza Baoji. The room was spacious and offered a stunning view of the city and the river . The hotel's location is excellent for both sightseeing and business .
A special thank you to Jessica, the manager, who was incredibly helpful and spoke excellent English, making us feel very welcome. In fact, all the staff were remarkably attentive and professional throughout our stay . The facilities, including the indoor pool and the sky bar on the 40th floor, were top-notch . A truly wonderful experience and probably the best hotel in the city!

We booked the hotel for just one night, but were absolutely delighted! Everything was at the highest level: very beautiful, cozy, and clean. The view from the room was simply stunning—it was a real pleasure to wake up to such a panorama.
We would especially like to express our sincere gratitude to the manager, Aliya. She explained everything in detail, showed us around, and was incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming. Thanks to her, our stay became even more comfortable.
A special thank you as well for the wonderful birthday surprise! My husband was truly pleased to receive such a thoughtful gesture—the celebratory cake and breakfast with a breathtaking view made the day truly special.
We would be happy to return again and will definitely recommend your hotel!

This was my second stay, and the hotel's location is truly unbeatable. It's directly across the street from the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and right at the northern entrance of the Grand Tang Everbright City. You can easily walk to key attractions like the South Square of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Grand Tang Everbright City, and Qin Han Tang Square, making sightseeing incredibly convenient. Plus, there's Joy City just across the road for all your shopping and dining needs – so handy! The hotel's exterior design is simple yet grand, giving off a very upscale vibe. The hotel is clean and tidy, and I have to praise the bedding in the rooms; it's incredibly comfortable! Make sure to visit the Qujiang Art Museum downstairs; the jade carvings are exquisite masterpieces, and the ceramics exhibition near the exit is also stunning. There's even a Picasso exhibition happening now, and it's free for hotel guests to visit. I especially want to mention how warm and welcoming all the staff are. Upon check-in, I was upgraded to an executive room for free, and on the morning of my departure, they proactively arranged a late check-out and gave me a lovely gift. Their thoughtfulness was truly exceptional, and a special thank you to Candy Jonay and the front desk staff for making me feel so at home. In short, if you want to fully experience the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and Grand Tang Everbright City area, I highly recommend the Westin Hotel. Five stars all the way!

For my trip to Xi'an, I chose the Dongshe Hotel, and its location is absolutely unbeatable, right near the Bell Tower, making it super convenient to visit the Muslim Quarter and Drum Tower. But what surprised me most wasn't the location, but their attention to detail in service. I have to praise the housekeeping; the humidifier in the room was such a thoughtful touch, especially great for those traveling during season changes or to dry areas – my skin didn't feel tight all night. Every staff member I interacted with, from the friendly front desk team at check-in, to the housekeeping auntie, and the restaurant staff, was incredibly sincere and enthusiastic. It wasn't just a professional smile; you could genuinely feel they were dedicated to helping you. The overall experience was fantastic; not only was my stay comfortable, but it also lifted my spirits. The daily afternoon tea and 'goodnight sweet soup' were also thoughtfully prepared. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Xi'an; it's definitely worth staying here.
To start with, this hotel far exceeded our expectations and created truly wonderful memories for our anniversary.
The staff were incredibly thoughtful; they decorated our room beautifully in advance and even gifted us fresh flowers 💐 – such touching attention to detail.
Every day during our stay, we received a fresh and abundant fruit platter. On the first night, they thoughtfully delivered a white fungus soup, and on the second, a red date soup. Both were perfectly sweet, smooth, and absolutely delicious.
Located within the Huaqing Palace scenic area, the hotel offers an elegant and tranquil environment that truly helps you relax and unwind.
The breakfast selection 🍳 was rich and tasty, and dinner was equally excellent. The overall dining experience was a big plus. (There's a shuttle service from the lobby to the restaurant and attractions within the park, though it's also a very short walk.)
The location is incredibly convenient. We could walk to see 'The Song of Everlasting Sorrow' in about 3 minutes, and Mount Li was also within walking distance.
Our room booking included access to the Huaqing Hot Springs, and the hot spring experience was fantastic, making our entire trip even more relaxing and enjoyable.
Overall, it's a high-quality hotel that excels in service, ambiance, and overall experience. Highly recommended, and I'll definitely be back!
Once again, a big thank you to all the hotel staff involved 🌹

The hotel is grand and the room is big. However, the aircon in our room was spoilt and the temperature of the room was unpleasant. Luckily, the weather was cooling and we had to open up the balcony door to cool the room for the night. Aircon technician spent an hour fixing the aircon but it was worse. The aircon started leaking water at the luggage storage throughout the night, with the sound of the leaking water affecting our sleep. But our traveling company had no issues with their rooms.

The hotel's location is convenient, just a 10-minute walk from the subway station. The decor is very unique, blending with the ancient capital's style. What left the deepest impression was the hotel's daily breakfast, which features a collection of Xi'an specialty snacks like oily noodles (youpo mian), rice noodles (mipi), and 'water basin' beef (shuipen niurou). The hotel's specialty snacks are even better than those outside; every day I was in Xi'an, I felt the hotel's food was the best, surpassing even highly-rated restaurants on Dazhong Dianping. Furthermore, the breakfast service was excellent – warm, polite, and very efficient. It's one of the best and most memorable service experiences I've had at a five-star hotel.👍👍

GGuest UserI'm only getting around to writing this review now, after a trip before Chinese New Year, because the experience was truly memorable and worth savoring. The hotel's location is excellent; it's not far from attractions like the Bell Tower, Drum Tower, and Forest of Steles. On a good day, you can walk to them, or if you're feeling lazy, a taxi ride is quick. Getting to the Grand Tang Everbright City and Furong Garden is also smooth, whether by metro or taxi. The hotel's surroundings are very quiet, and once you enter the grounds, it feels like a private garden. Even in winter, you can see greenery all around, so I can only imagine how beautiful it must be during the other three seasons. What left the deepest impression was a young man from the hotel's concierge team. After my child and I finished our meal, we wanted to stroll around the courtyard. He proactively approached us, asking if we had eaten and where we planned to go. We told him we weren't going far, just exploring the courtyard. He enthusiastically informed us that there was an olive tree in the backyard personally planted by Premier Zhou, suggesting we look for it. We were pleasantly surprised and immediately decided to seek out this piece of history. Early on February 11th, we had booked a trip to the Terracotta Warriors. Since it was quite a distance, we rushed to the restaurant for breakfast right when it opened. As the elevator doors opened downstairs, it was the same familiar young man, greeting us with a cheerful 'Good morning!'... Throughout our stay, we encountered this diligent and hospitable staff member many times as we came and went. Even my child would proactively say hello to him, as if he were a familiar family member! The feeling of being welcomed like family truly slowly permeates and influences those around you. It's a shame he wasn't on duty the day we checked out, so we couldn't say goodbye in person. I have a small suggestion for the hotel's guest rooms: it would be best to provide plastic non-slip mats in the shower. The lack of non-slip slippers, with only cotton bathmats available, isn't enough to prevent slips in the shower. Moreover, showering barefoot isn't comfortable for most Chinese people, especially women and children. Sometimes, a non-slip item is much more practical than just a warning!

JJohnTingThis is more than a hotel. It is a sanctuary in the middle of bustling Xi'an.
We were always welcomed with a warm smile by the staff daily.
The hotel was tastefully designed and exuded warmth and calmness. The clever use of earthly colours and heavy accent on the usage of timber created an inviting atmosphere.
The usage of lightings to highlight certain objects while casting shadows around said objects created an impression of an art gallery.
One word to describe this hotel.... LOVELY!!!
The butler service in servicing breakfast, afternoon tea and supper was highly appreciated.
One added bonus for me was that I was able to photograph Bell Tower in peace and luxury at the top open deck.
Highly recommended this hotel for relaxation and also photographing Bell Tower

What an amazing stay here at the Intercontinental, stayed here for 4 nights in the Deluxe King room.
Arrived and checked in late at 12AM, the staff were pleasant and respectful, quick and got me settled in.
The staff were very attentive and service just impeccable - consistent in greetings at each turn and always double even triple checking if you require and help.
Room: 8/10
The rooms are clean, and cleaned on a daily. The cleaning lady was incredibly attentive, on the first night I asked for more water as the room only came with two, consistently day after day they left 4 bottles for me which was really appreciated on my part - it’s a minor thing but it really elevates the experience.
Room is quiet, can’t hear a thing from the opposite rooms. Occasionally there are some sounds from the door but it’s really unnoticeable.
Shower; the only reason why i didn’t give it full marks. Maybe it’s personal preference but the water does not seem to get hot enough, the water pressure on the shower head seems a bit lacking. Nevertheless though, don’t let that deter you from booking as it’s still an overall great stay.
Tub; no complaints, water runs hot, what better way to relax and kick back after a day of being a tourist and walking 20k.
Location: 10/10
I think this one is completely subjective to personal preference. The location is in the midst of white collar working towers so there is quite a bit of traffic. There is a subway station close by as well -though I never used it as I took a Didi 100% of the time.
A mall is nearby within walking distance but again didn’t go. Most commutes by didi take 20-30 minutes due to the traffic but honestly looking at the Westin or other hotels in prime tourist locations (ex. Pagoda , bell tower etc) there is sooo much traffic and noise as they have so many different activities happening there. For me this location have me back some silence after a long day out.
Atmosphere: 10/10
The hotel is beautifully decorated, cleaned throughout. Jo Malone fragrances in every elevator. It was such a relaxing atmosphere to be in.
Breakfast: 10/10
If you can, give the breakfast a try. There’s a huge variety of Xi’an delectables you can try, from the roujiamo, liangpi etc that are available plus a mixture of western food. The staff I must commend once more are incredibly attentive and always try to make your experience better.
Final thoughts - highly recommend the intercontinental Xi’an for your next stay. I truly enjoyed it and would recommend it for those coming for a 5 star experience!
AAnonymous UserStaying at a hotel near the Bell Tower in Xi'an was incredibly convenient for getting around. I could easily walk to the Muslim Quarter and the City Wall. The room was clean and comfortable, and I had an amazing view of the Bell Tower at night, which was absolutely stunning. The front desk staff were really friendly and even gave great recommendations for local food. Breakfast included Roujiamo and Hurat汤 (Spicy Soup), which were authentic and filling. Although parking was a bit of a hassle, the overall value for money was excellent. It’s definitely an ideal base to experience the charm of this ancient capital.

CChumenxiuxingThe location is truly unbeatable! It's super convenient to get to any attraction. The hotel is right by Exit B of Longshouyuan Station on Line 2. It's only 3 stops to the Bell Tower. If you want to visit Daxingshan Temple, SEG Shopping Center, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, and Datang Everbright City, just take the subway to Xiaozhai. Xi'an North High-Speed Rail Station is only 6-7 stops away. In short, the transportation is simply unmatched. We even cycled from the hotel entrance to the City Wall, which took just over 10 minutes.
As for the service, they add you on WeChat, and a butler checks in daily to ask about your stay and if you need anything added to your room.
There's Longshouyuan Night Market and Chang'an Food Stall right opposite the hotel. You don't have to queue at other attractions; we just came back to eat at this place opposite the hotel after sightseeing.
There's a Terracotta Warriors shuttle bus right outside Chang'an Food Stall. It runs every half an hour and costs 30 yuan per person.
For a trip to Xi'an, this hotel really wins on location!
GGuest UserGreat review! The hotel's location is excellent; it's just a few minutes' walk to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, and very close to the Grand Tang Everbright City and Tang Paradise. This is super important because you can easily head back to the hotel to rest when you're tired from sightseeing.
**Ambiance:** It has a lovely Chinese-style decor, and the public areas are very pretty. Our room was on the first floor, with lush greenery right outside the window.
**Service:** The breakfast was good, and the Western food station was particularly delicious. There's also a Hanfu (traditional Chinese clothing) rental shop on the ground floor of the lobby; it's a bit pricier than outside, but the experience is worth it.
If I had to mention any cons, it would be that during the May Day holiday, this area was restricted, so taxis had to drop us off at the hotel's back entrance, and we had to walk in. Also, the bathroom facilities show a bit of age, but everything else was excellent.

XXiaoyaojiaoyaoSuper convenient! You can go directly from the hotel to check in your luggage and go through security at the airport! A huge thank you to hotel staff member Wang Chuang. I was rushing for my flight and left my work phone in the room. He immediately went upstairs and quickly found it for me. But I had already passed security, so he then immediately sent it via SF Express to my home! Such incredible efficiency. Next time I come to Xi'an, I will definitely stay here again!

Aaccy09 The Platinum Man Ao Victory Hotel is conveniently located just outside the city walls, near Hepingmen (Peace Gate). It's right above Exit A of Hepingmen Station on Metro Line 4, making it super easy to get to all the city's attractions and museums by bus or taxi. The Victory Hotel, rebuilt in a Republic of China style, exudes a luxurious and elegant atmosphere. The receptionists were all very warm and polite, always greeting me when I came and went. I was given a spacious and elegant high-floor room, showcasing a distinctly Shanghainese charm. The room boasted high-end amenities like a smart toilet and electric curtains. The 64-inch super large TV was the biggest I've ever seen in any luxury five-star hotel, though I admit I struggled a bit with the internet TV settings. I had a very comfortable and quiet stay for several days. The housekeeping staff were all excellent, and I'd also like to thank the restaurant supervisor and other staff for helping me refrigerate my medication. Breakfast is served on the 12th floor, the top level. The food selection was impressive; I particularly enjoyed the beef brisket and salt and pepper ribs, which were better than what I've had at other Crowne Plazas. They also offered Xian's specialty, Zēng Gāo (steamed glutinous rice cake). You can overlook the city walls from the window, and I saw many foreign tourists leisurely enjoying their breakfast while admiring the view. Additionally, there's a coffee machine in the lobby for self-service, and ordering takeout is convenient as a robot delivers it to your room. I was extremely satisfied with my stay at Platinum Man Ao during this trip to Xi'an, and I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Xi'an.
