Brilliant value for money - used this esim for a trip to Malaysia and Indonesia and the coverage was great, even when I was on an island where I thought it might not work. Would definitely purchase an esim through trip.com again next time I travel.

It works great! You can even share your internet, although at first it seemed like it wouldn't let you! The internet is high-quality, and I was able to work on online calls.

What is an Indonesia eSIM and How Does It Work?

An eSIM (Embedded Subscriber Identity Module) is a digital SIM chip built into modern smartphones. Instead of inserting a physical SIM card, you scan a QR code or tap an activation button to install a local Indonesian data profile.

How It Works:

  1. Purchase online: Pick your data size and trip duration.
  2. Install profile: Scan the QR code or activate via your provider's app before departure.
  3. Connect on arrival: When your plane lands in Bali (DPS) or Jakarta (CGK), your device connects directly to local cell towers.
  4. Keep your home SIM: Receive 2FA security texts on your home number while using the eSIM for cheap data.

How to Check If Your Phone is eSIM Compatible & Unlocked

Before purchasing an eSIM, you must verify two vital conditions: your phone must be carrier-unlocked and contain an eSIM chipset.

5 Easy Steps to Set Up Your Indonesia eSIM

Step 1: Check Carrier Network Lock Status

If your device is locked to a specific home carrier (e.g., AT&T, Verizon, Vodafone, EE), it will block third-party travel eSIM profiles.

  • iOS (iPhone): Go to Settings > General > About. Scroll down to Carrier Lock (or Network Provider Lock). It must say "No SIM restrictions".
  • Android (Samsung/Google Pixel): Go to Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks or Network & Internet. Look for a menu labeled Network Operators or Choose Network. If it allows you to toggle automatic network selection off and manually view other carriers, your phone is unlocked. Alternatively, contact your home provider.

Step 2: Verify eSIM Hardware Support

Quick dial code test:

  1. Open your phone's dialer/phone app.
  2. Type *#06# and press call.
  3. If your screen displays an EID number (a 32-digit barcode number), your device hardware supports eSIM.

Popular Compatible Devices:

  • Apple: iPhone XS, XS Max, XR, and all newer models (iPhone 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 series). Note: US-model iPhones 14 and newer are eSIM-only.
  • Samsung: Galaxy S20, S21, S22, S23, S24 series, Z Flip series, Z Fold series, and Note 20 series.
  • Google: Pixel 3a and all newer models (Pixel 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 series).

Top Mobile Networks in Indonesia

In Indonesia, network coverage varies greatly depending on the island you are visiting. Knowing which underlying carrier your eSIM provider uses is crucial:

  • Telkomsel: The absolute gold standard in Indonesia. It has the widest coverage footprint, spanning remote areas in Bali, Lombok, Komodo, Flores, Sumatra, and Raja Ampat. If you plan to travel beyond tourist centers, choose a plan powered by Telkomsel.
  • Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IM3 / 3): Offers high speeds and excellent performance in major metro centers like Jakarta, Surabaya, and south Bali (Canggu, Seminyak, Kuta).
  • XL Axiata: Strong secondary operator with good coverage across Java, Bali, and Lombok.

5 Easy Steps to Set Up Your Indonesia eSIM

Phase 2: Activation Upon Landing in Indonesia

When your plane touches down at Jakarta (CGK), Bali (DPS), or Surabaya (SUB):

  1. Go to Settings > Cellular / Mobile Data.
  2. Select Mobile Data and set it to your Indonesia Travel eSIM.
  3. Tap into your Indonesia eSIM profile settings and toggle Data Roaming ON.
  4. Verify that Data Roaming remains OFF on your Primary Home SIM line.
  5. Turn off Airplane Mode. Your phone will connect to local networks (Telkomsel, Indosat, or XL) within 1–3 minutes.

Troubleshooting Common Connection Issues

  • No Internet Signal?
Check your APN (Access Point Name) settings. Go to Cellular > Cellular Data Network (iOS) or Access Point Names (Android). Ensure the APN matches the string specified in your provider instructions (e.g., internet or globaldata).
  • Stuck on 3G or 2G?
Toggle Airplane Mode ON for 10 seconds, then turn it back OFF. This forces your device to renegotiate connection parameters with the nearest 4G/5G cell tower.
  • Network Not Connecting Automatically?
Go to Settings > Mobile Data > Network Selection, turn off Automatic, and manually select Telkomsel or Indosat.

Essential Apps to Use with an Indonesia eSIM

Having mobile internet active immediately upon landing allows you to navigate local transport and services effortlessly:

  • Ride-Hailing & Food Delivery: Gojek and Grab (essential for ordering motorbike taxis, cars, and food across Bali and Java).
  • Navigation: Google Maps (critical for navigating narrow alleyways and shortcut paths in Bali).
  • Communication: WhatsApp (the primary way locals, villa managers, drivers, and tour operators communicate).
  • Travel & Fast Boats: 12Go Asia or local ferry booking apps for island hopping.

How to Choose the Right Indonesia eSIM? Key Factors

Tips on How to Choose the Right Indonesia eSIM

When selecting your plan, evaluate these four critical criteria:

  1. Underlying Carrier Choice: Verify whether the plan uses Telkomsel, Indosat, or XL. If leaving urban hubs, opt for Telkomsel.
  2. Data Type (Fixed vs. Daily Cap vs. Unlimited):
    • Fixed Total Data: Best value if you want full speed all the time without daily limits.
    • Daily High-Speed Cap: Resets every 24 hours. Good for predictable daily consumption.
    • Unlimited Data: Ideal for heavy remote work, though check for Fair Usage Policies (FUP) that cap speeds after 1–3 GB per day.
  3. Hotspot / Tethering Allowance: Confirm that personal hotspot mode is enabled if you plan to connect a laptop or share internet with family.
  4. Direct Setup vs. QR Code: Modern booking platforms like Trip.com allow "One-Click Direct Installation" inside the app, removing the need to scan a QR code using a second screen.

Nusa Dua Bali|16.74km from city center
The hotel is located within a large complex. There are many restaurants just a street away, and it's a pleasant 10-15 minute walk to the Collection mall, or you can use the scheduled shuttle service. The hotel isn't directly on the beach, but they offer regular shuttle rides to and from the seaside. Most of the hotel staff are very friendly, with the exception of a few at the beach. Every time I tried to buy a coconut at the beach, the staff would say they were sold out. And when I tried to order other drinks, they seemed quite annoyed. The room itself was spacious and very clean. They provide four complimentary bottles of water daily, and you can request four more. Any additional bottles after that come with a charge. During breakfast, you can see many small squirrels being fed from little wooden bowls hung on the trees in the restaurant.

Ubud Bali|22.98km from city center
This is a premium hotel far outside of Ubud center. Be aware you are about 30 minutes from Ubud if you stay here and there really isn't much to do in the immediate area besides stare at the jungle. Staff was outstanding here with frequent greetings by name and remembering you like a Ritz Carlton. Because I enjoy regular outings I actually found the location quite inconvenient as an hour a day would have to be devoted just to getting to and from Ubud. The room I got was enormous and included a dining room, sitting room, bedroom, large bathroom. The in room amenities were great including a free restocking mini bar with snacks (no alcohol) and a large smart TV. The bed was huge, soft, and comfortable. The bathtub was a downside as it was quite small by western standards (not as small as a japanese tub though). I'm not a very big individual at 173cm and I felt it was too narrow and not long enough. Perhaps suitable for petite individuals only. Be aware of that if like me and many Americans you prefer baths over showers. The property is very large and you will likely want to regularly use the phone to request the on site golf cart shuttles to get around it as otherwise you will spend much of your time walking uphill from the rooms to the amenities near the entrance like the restaurant and pool.

Jimbaran Bali|14.95km from city center
We chose this hotel for the last two nights of our Bali trip because it offered excellent value compared to many other resorts in Bali and even other InterContinental properties. The resort itself is huge, with a wide variety of facilities including separate adult and family pools, an indoor gym, a calisthenics gym, beautiful ponds, direct beach access, and very friendly staff. On paper, it seemed like a fantastic choice. Unfortunately, our stay turned out to be extremely disappointing. We stayed in room number 4127. On our first night, both of us woke up covered in insect bites despite sleeping tucked under the blankets. Around midnight, we had to spray both the bed and ourselves with insect repellent just to get through the night. The following morning, we reported the issue and requested a room change because we were concerned there might be insects in the mattress. Instead, we were only offered fresh bed sheets and a general cleaning of the room. Sadly, the exact same thing happened again on the second night. We woke up with even more bites and no longer felt safe sleeping in the bed. We strongly suspected there were bugs hiding in the mattress. We ended up leaving the room in the middle of the night and spent the rest of the night in the hotel lobby because we were too afraid to return to bed. What disappointed us the most was how the situation was handled. We showed the staff numerous photos documenting the bites over both nights, yet the only compensation offered was to waive a small bill (about RMB 55) for an ice cream and a coffee. Considering we lost two nights of sleep, experienced significant discomfort, and had to spend an entire night in the lobby, this response felt inadequate and did not reflect the level of service we expected. In addition, the hotel itself feels quite dated. Although it has its charm, many areas appear to have aged significantly. The towels were noticeably worn, wooden fixtures were chipped, and the overall condition suggested the property is overdue for a major renovation. We genuinely wanted to enjoy our stay because the resort has so much potential. The grounds are beautiful, the facilities are plentiful, and the staff we interacted with were polite and friendly. However, the insect issue and the hotel’s response overshadowed everything else. We hope management takes this feedback seriously and thoroughly investigates the mattresses and rooms so future guests do not have the same experience.

Uluwatu Bali|19.37km from city center
The hotel is located on a hill, quite high up, so you definitely need a car to get around. There's one road that's in terrible condition – avoid it at all costs. The hotel is a bit older, so the rooms aren't brand new, but they are comfortable enough. The bathroom is as spacious as the bedroom, which is great. Breakfast was plentiful but not particularly tasty (a common issue in Bali). I bought a voucher for 800 RMB including breakfast for two during a promotion, and using it in June made it a really good deal. However, if it were 1000 RMB per night, I think there would be better options available.

Ubud Bali|16km from city center
Facilities: Natural, Balinese style Cleanliness: Excellent Ambiance: The room's fragrance was fresh and perfect. Service: Very attentive We canceled another hotel and switched to this one. The location is excellent; a small path next to it leads directly to the back entrance of Yogabarn, and the popular Pison restaurant is right next door. Ubud's bustling shopping street is also nearby. If you're looking for plenty of activities, this is a top choice. Breakfast was delicious. The hotel's toiletries—shampoo, conditioner, and body wash—smelled wonderful, and I even bought a set before leaving. Unfortunately, the lotion was out of stock. My question now is: How can I purchase it, and can it be shipped domestically? How can I contact you?

I chose Sense Seminyak Hotel mainly because of its strategic location—it’s right in front of Eiger and adidas stores, which made shopping super convenient for me. After that, I easily took a Gojek ride to Seminyak Beach to catch the sunset. The location is definitely a big plus, with everything you need nearby. It’s also a popular choice among travelers because the price is very reasonable for what you get. A great option if you’re looking for convenience, good value, and easy access to shopping and the beach!

Prama Sanur Beach Bali is an established resort offering great value for money. Its biggest draw is the private beachfront, perfect for catching stunning sunrises, cycling, and enjoying water sports right from the hotel. The pool is large and surrounded by lush greenery. However, since the hotel has been around for a while, the rooms and bathrooms show their age. Overall, it's a good choice for budget-conscious travelers who prioritize a wide range of facilities and relaxing sea views, and aren't overly particular about the newest amenities.

I had a wonderful stay here. The location is excellent — close to the airport, the beach, and shopping centers. The service was top-notch. That said, the breakfast buffet wasn't for me; I didn't find much on offer that suited my taste. I also stayed two nights and ran into a bit of a crowd late at night on the ground floor — other guests were having a party, drinking and shouting. Overall, it's a good pick.

I stayed here for a week and had a wonderful time. The spacious room, large bed, and comfortable balcony overlooking the fields made every day enjoyable. I'm truly grateful to all the hotel staff for their kind and friendly service at all times. They were incredibly prompt in handling issues like the faulty security box and running out of toilet paper, which I really appreciated. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, offering not just Indonesian dishes but also bread, desserts, and fruits. I especially loved the terrace seating where I could enjoy the morning breeze and sunshine. The hotel's location is excellent, close to a big beach club and the beach, with convenience stores and restaurants within walking distance, and Grab taxis arriving quickly. beyond expectations 🤍 Everything about this hotel was exceptional, especially considering the price range compared to other hotels in the area. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed with their kindness, professionalism, and warm smiles. The service was outstanding in every detail. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and very well maintained. Housekeeping was excellent, and the whole hotel had a clean, relaxing atmosphere. The beds were extremely comfortable and we had such peaceful sleep every night. The breakfast was easily 10/10 😍 Great variety, fresh food every day, delicious options for both adults and children, and everything was presented beautifully. Even the coffee and juices were excellent. The pool area was amazing ,clean, relaxing, and perfect for families. The hotel is also very family-friendly overall, with such a safe and comfortable environment for children. The staff were incredibly sweet and caring with kids, which made the experience even better for our family. The location is also perfect: close to everything in Kuta while still feeling peaceful and quiet inside the hotel. Honestly, compared to other hotels in the same price range around the area, Bintang Kuta deserves a true 10/10 Outstanding rating. It genuinely feels like a much more expensive hotel because of the quality of service, cleanliness, comfort, and attention to detail. • Location: Close to the airport and the ocean. Easy access to shops, currency exchange booths, cafes, street food vendors, and massage parlors. • Room: Spacious with all the essentials: a safe, slippers, toothbrushes and toothpaste, shower gel, and shampoo. The view was of a soccer field and local houses, but it was noisy at night even with the windows closed; we could hear motorbikes racing on the road. The lack of a balcony wasn't an issue; we dried our clothes in the room. At one point, the air conditioning stopped working, but we reported it to reception, and they fixed it quickly. The shower drained poorly, likely due to a lack of slope towards the drain. • Breakfast: Varied, with sliced cheese and cold cuts, a vegetable and salad station, an omelet station, several types of fruit, fried fish, chicken in various sauces, rice, pasta, a self-serve soup station, but the pastries were cold 😓. I didn't like that smoking was allowed at the tables. • Pool: Overlooking Jimbaran Bay. Absolutely beautiful. I wanted to explore every corner. The pool looked clean, and all the tiles were intact. There was a bar nearby where you could order drinks and food at reasonable prices. • Ocean: A straight 5-minute walk down a quiet street. The beach is being cleaned this year. The most beautiful sunsets are only here 😍. The hotel doesn't have its own sun loungers and umbrellas, but you can rent them on the beach without any problems. Overall, the hotel offers excellent value for money. The cost is affordable for such a great vacation.

Amazing and flawless 10/10 stay at The Westin Ubud Bali. From the moment you arrive, the atmosphere is pure serenity—nestled in a lush rainforest setting with a breathtaking centrepiece infinity pool that feels like it’s floating in the clouds amongst the serine jungle. It’s the kind of place where you instantly slow down and just breathe and experience a place you can relax, be well and rise every day feeling better than the next. The food is exceptional across the board—thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and consistently delicious. Every meal felt like a highlight and Sebastian takes pride and care with his team and the high food quality standards. What truly sets this property apart, though, is the passionate Westin associates that Go Beyond! The entire team operates at an incredibly high level, and it shows in every interaction. A special thank you to General Manager Saraswati, whose hands-on leadership is evident everywhere; you can feel how much she genuinely cares about both guests and her team. Darma at the lobby bar is a standout… his attention to detail and craftsmanship behind the bar made every visit memorable. Yana ensures the restaurants runs like clockwork, delivering a smooth, polished, and faultless dining experience every time. And Arta and Crisna—your work ethic and standards are simply outstanding. You consistently go above and beyond in a way that truly elevates the entire property. Cleanliness is absolutely next level—impeccable in every possible way with an amazing housekeeping team. I had a pleasant stay at Aston Denpasar Hotel & Convention Center and would happily recommend it to others visiting Denpasar. The hotel is centrally located, making it a great base for both business and leisure activities. The staff were exceptionally friendly and professional, always ready to assist with a smile. My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with all the essential amenities provided. I especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which offered a generous variety of both local and international dishes. The hotel’s facilities, including the swimming pool and meeting rooms, were well-maintained and added to the overall experience. For the price, Aston Denpasar offers great value and a welcoming atmosphere. I look forward to staying here again on my next trip to Bali.

The staff service is very friendly and good here! Very recommend to stay at this hotel as their location is very convenient! Opposite has many many marts and pharmacies, easy to walk and buy things you need! They also have provide laundry service which can get your clothes in 24 hours and charge about 30k for 1kg. They also will top up mineral water and all the tea, toothbrush every day. Will definitely stay here again in the future!

Reception was a little busy upon arrival and made me wait for a couple of hours the until check-in to 2pm, my room was excellent style and big, sadly with no balcony or view onto a very busy and noisy road, and Indonesia is dose it's best to create nose, so next time I have to book a pool view room to get away from the very noisy main road, there's a lovely bathroom and separate toilet, also a bath with TV, the main TV was excellent and I could log into my Netflix account to watch all my favourite programmes, breakfast time is very good with plenty of choice, i will come back and book a pool view room next time

It is a convenient location as it is not so far from airport and I arrived at midnight so I booked to stay there before heading to another hotel in Ubud. However, it is really noisy in the early morning with the kids swimming in the pools if you prefer less crowded and quiet, I won’t recommend this place.

The cliffside infinity pool offers stunning views of the rainforest terraces and valleys, with breathtaking sunrises and sunsets – perfect for incredible photos. Enjoy ultimate privacy in a secluded rainforest villa, quiet and peaceful, far from the hustle and bustle of Ubud. The butler service is attentive, there's a 24-hour front desk, free city shuttle, professional spa, and the floating breakfast is amazing. The rooms are spacious, with Zen-inspired Balinese decor, clean, tidy, and have excellent terrace views. Forest yoga and rice field trekking provide a healing and relaxing experience, making it ideal for a romantic honeymoon. Be aware of mosquitoes and geckos: it's inevitable in a rainforest villa, and you might occasionally find small lizards indoors, so definitely come prepared with mosquito repellent.

The hotel grounds are expansive and the lobby is quite grand, with a nice aesthetic. However, the rooms and elevators are really showing their age. The lettering on light switches is completely worn off, and you can barely read the labels on the shower gel bottles – I don't know why the hotel hasn't replaced them yet. While the room was spacious, it felt too old for the price. On the positive side, there's an indoor kids' play area and a small water slide, which the children absolutely loved. There aren't any convenience stores nearby, which was a bit inconvenient. Overall, a one or two-day stay is more than enough here.

This hotel is a very good choice 👍🏼 I am a little picky, but here’s my review: Pros: ✅ No damp smell, well ventilated ( I was worried about this) ✅ No insects in the room. There might be some geckos 🦎 (which is normal and expected) but I didn’t see any. ✅ Very clean in general ✅ Comfortable bed ✅ The service is amazing ✅ The staff is very friendly and helpful ✅ The breakfast is very good, there are plenty of choices. ✅ Their restaurant is also very good, in case you don’t want to go out of the resort. ✅ The vibe at the beach is nice and if you like water sports it is also good. ✅ The pool is huge and very nice ✅ Reasonable price (but it will depend on the season and demand) Cons: 😑 Sound proof can be better, one can hear everyone from the pool (the sound enters from the main door) 😑 The beach is not the best for swimming, and is a bit dirty in general (not the hotel’s fault) 😑 The gym can be better as there are only 3 machines (spinning, treadmill and elliptical) the dumbbells are fine ✅😄 Overall, recommended! I was happy with my stay at this hotel! It is good to give it a try!

We really enjoyed our stay at Mövenpick and were very happy with our overall experience. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a stylish and thoughtful design throughout. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed as well. The service was excellent, and the staff were always friendly, responsive, and genuinely willing to help whenever we needed anything. The only downside was breakfast. At times, it felt like there were simply more guests than the restaurant and staff could comfortably accommodate, which made the experience a little hectic and the service less smooth than in the rest of the hotel. Apart from that, everything was wonderful. We truly enjoyed our stay and were very pleased with the hotel, the service, and the atmosphere. Thank you to the entire team for making our time at Mövenpick

We booked a king room with lagoon access and was upgraded to a suite (Thank you Andaz, was a lovely surprise). We had a beautiful, clean and spacious room with a massive patio that backed onto a lagoon connected to the main pool with a sea view. It felt like paradise. There were toads croaking after the rain. We saw cockatoos and many other kinds of bird. Bird sang every morning. We even a monitor lizard swimming in the spa’s lily pond. This place is bathed in nature. Service was friendly and warm from top notch staff. The turndown service every evening was a special touch, and the grounds were immaculately kept! There were almost always staff working away to keep the grounds pristine and lush. We really like the hotel’s layout where it seems (to us) that all rooms provide a good level of privacy and some kind of a view, be it lush beautiful gardens, pool or the beach. Lastly, the à la carte unlimited breakfast was what brought us here (from the flip flop traveller, iykyk) and it did not disappoint. What an amazing treat! Andaz Bali is truly a gem.

An Amazing Stay – One of My Favorite Hotels in Bali Overall, this hotel delivered on every aspect that mattered to me—warm and genuine hospitality, an excellent breakfast, spacious rooms, thoughtful sustainability practices, and a location that's close to everything without feeling overly crowded. I stayed here for a week for work, and by the end of my trip, I honestly didn't want to leave. The hotel exceeded my expectations in so many ways. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. A special thank you to Satya, who escorted us to our rooms after a long and tiring flight. Since we arrived before the official check-in time, the team kindly prepared one of our rooms early so we could freshen up and get some rest while waiting for the others. It was a small gesture that made a huge difference after traveling. Breakfast One of the reasons I chose this hotel was because so many reviews praised the breakfast, and now I completely understand why. Breakfast became one of the highlights of my stay. There was plenty of variety every morning, from freshly cooked eggs to delicious local Indonesian dishes. I also appreciated that breakfast is served until 11:00 AM, which is quite common in Bali and perfect if you've had a late night or arrived early from a flight. In our case, we were able to enjoy breakfast before our rooms were ready. The breakfast team was incredibly accommodating and always greeted us with a smile. Their hospitality set the tone for the rest of our stay. A few favorites that I looked forward to every morning: The fresh acai bowl The turmeric wellness shot Great coffee selections, from espresso to café mocha Everything was fresh, plentiful, and a great way to start a busy day. The lagoon pool looked beautiful, although I wasn't able to use it because it closes at 7:00 PM. Thankfully, the rooftop pool stays open until 10:00 PM, and I managed to enjoy a relaxing evening swim. The water was warm, and the atmosphere was peaceful after a full day of work. One thing I really appreciated was the hotel's sustainable design. Only the guest rooms are air-conditioned, while the hallways and common areas are naturally ventilated. It keeps the rooms comfortable while reducing unnecessary energy use—a thoughtful approach that I hope more hotels adopt. For me, this location was much better than staying along Sunset Road. It felt more local while still being incredibly convenient. Within just a few minutes' walk, you'll find: Two convenience stores Plenty of affordable massage and spa options A shopping mall Kuta Beach Getting around was also easy with Grab and Gojek available whenever we needed them. Room Service Room service deserves a mention because it was impressively fast. Every request arrived much quicker than I expected.

Pros: The pools are big enough for a relaxed and spacious swim. There's an ice cream cafe, and the place is clean. The staff are friendly, and the room has all the essentials: tea, coffee, and water replenished daily. Cons: Breakfasts are mostly Asian, and they often try to pass off old food as fresh, especially the potatoes and cherry tomatoes. Very few fruits; only watermelon and papaya for the whole week. Absolutely no variety. A huge downside is the noise! If your room is near the elevator, expect constant banging and humming. You can also clearly hear conversations and other noises from the neighboring room. There's a cafe called 2 Roots nearby; it's delicious, I recommend it.

Ubud Bali|19.1km from city center
Mandapa is nestled in the Ubud forest, surrounded by rainforest and built into the mountainside. It's a secluded sanctuary, perfect for cleansing the soul and allowing me to slowly and peacefully savor every day of my vacation. I was particularly impressed with their butler service. During my three-day, two-night stay, everything was meticulously planned for me, from the transfer service to and from the hotel in Jimbaran Bay, to my river adventure, spa appointments, scheduled photography session, and dinner reservations. My butler orchestrated everything, acting like a personal secretary. Furthermore, most of the hotel's restaurants are outdoors, allowing guests to dine amidst the forest. Surprisingly, the environmental hygiene and insect control were excellent, which I truly appreciated. The villa's cleanliness was also ideal; I didn't spot a single spiderweb, ant, small spider, or any other insect or dust mite within the 430-square-meter villa. The hygiene was superb. The overall ambiance of the hotel felt incredibly serene and relaxing, making it perfectly suited for couples to enjoy a slow-paced, leisurely trip. Regarding the food, I tried breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner at three of their restaurants. The dining atmosphere and food quality were consistently excellent. The spa lived up to the standards of a 6-star hotel! Given its Michelin 3-star status, the hotel truly meets that benchmark. One minor thing to note is that during dinner at one of their Indonesian restaurants, there's a traditional Indonesian dance performance where performers wear a deity mask. This might make some guests, especially those with young children, feel uncomfortable or even frightened. This is something to be aware of.

Superb hotel, pleasant stay. Breakfast is delicious. Enough variety and great flavour. Good coffee too. Room is nice and as seen on pics, only need mild refurbishment.
