The grounds are large, beautiful, and green, with two pools (one for children with slides and a basketball hoop, and one for adults with a bar). Both pools are separate, so adults can relax by the pool without the screams and squeals of children. The children's pool has family nest-like sunbeds, which are very convenient. The service is top-notch, and all the staff are friendly. The hotel's location is also convenient, near the main street of Sanur, where there are cafes, shops, and stalls. I initially thought this would be the most negative review of our entire trip to Bali, but let me explain why it's actually the highest rating, and that's all thanks to the amazing staff. We stayed in many places across Bali and, of course, spent nights in various accommodations. Upon check-in, everything seemed perfect, but then I noticed the floors were dirty and the breakfasts weren't quite what we'd imagined. BUT, the staff called a cleaning crew who cleaned the room perfectly with a huge floor-washing machine! Later, we discovered that we really liked the omelets, chicken, and other varieties at breakfast. It would be a sin to complain given the incredibly low price of the breakfasts. The staff were always friendly and smiling, and I want to give a special thank you to all of them for making our stay so pleasant. The location is fantastic as it's easy to get anywhere; we chose this place primarily for quick access to all points of interest, and it truly is convenient. It's great that there's underground parking, so the scooter doesn't bake in the sun. Later, we decided to order food from the restaurant and asked for it to be delivered to our room; the portions were super large, and the cost was very reasonable. Also, there's a good mix of young and old people here, a great contrast! For those who prefer no insects, we also highly recommend it!From€33

The staff were very friendly, helpful, and genuinely service-minded. They were also happy to recommend places and things to do around the area, which we really appreciated.
Unfortunately, there were several issues that significantly affected our stay. During the daytime, there was some burning happening around the nearby rice field, and the smell came directly into our room. It became uncomfortable enough that we had to leave the hotel for a few hours and only came back in the evening.
The biggest problem, however, was the air conditioning. In the middle of the night, the room became extremely cold even though we had not intended to make it that cold. We were surprised to find the air conditioner running at 17°C with the fan at maximum speed. We had to wake up several times to adjust the temperature, and because of this we could not sleep properly until early morning.
The Wi-Fi was also very poor. Once our phones connected to the hotel Wi-Fi, the internet was practically unusable, so we eventually had to disconnect and use our own roaming mobile data instead.
Overall, the staff and service were good, but the air conditioning and internet problems seriously affected the comfort of our stay. If these two issues were fixed, the experience would be much better.From€17

I had a very pleasant stay overall. The staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming with a drink, which made the experience even better. The hotel was clean, well maintained, and the room was spacious and comfortable.
One small detail I really appreciated was the TV having YouTube Premium, which was great for relaxing in the room.
The food was decent, although I felt it could be improved slightly. There was, however, a good selection of drinks available.

This beautiful hotel has a vantage point of the entire Uluwatu region as far as seeing the aircraft landing into the airport. Everything is spectacular, especially the upper and lower infinity pools. Breakfast is bountiful. The best thing is you get free shuttle and access to the RoosterFish Beach club, which is great if you want a change of scenery at Pandawa beach. A lot of guests stay here because of this perk. Top notch service as everyone greets you with a smile. Seeing that I was travelling alone and staying only for one night, Aldi at the front desk made sure I had a great stay and gave me an amazing upgrade to their seaview terrace room, which really elevated my whole stay as I used the sundeck to sunbathe. The staff asked me to leave a review before I checked out, so here it is. First, I definitely don't recommend coming here straight from the airport on your first day in Bali. It's incredibly remote, a two-hour drive, which is pure torture after a long-haul flight. The hotel itself is small, and there's absolutely nothing around it. If your goal isn't just to completely relax, I wouldn't suggest making the long journey out here. Then there's the room rate of 3400 (including tax), and the pool isn't even heated, which is quite baffling. Breakfast was included, and they recommended a floating breakfast but didn't explicitly mention the 600K charge. If breakfast wasn't included, I wouldn't mind paying, but having it included yet ending up with a limited option and only finding out about the 600K debt upon checkout is a bit bewildering. The food isn't great, and the cocktails aren't much better. The bathtub didn't have hot water late at night, and it took two people to finally get some running, but it was just a trickle, taking an hour to fill the tub. Overall, there's absolutely nothing impressive about this place. It's not bad, but I don't think it's worth the price.From€89

Aside from diving, the hotel was okay. There were a lot of flies in the restaurant, and many mosquitoes during dinner. The hotel's dive center was a bit of a rip-off. For scuba diving, they'd make excuses not to go to the further dive spots; 2 out of 3 dives would be in the same place, just a few dozen meters apart. For snorkeling, they only let you go once, and it costs more than double what you'd pay outside. Plus, they wouldn't even take you to the island. They said we'd be back between 2:30 PM and 3:00 PM, but for our three dives, we were back by 1:00 PM. They probably wanted to eat earlier. You can tell how perfunctory their service was.From€41

Check in was smooth. Staffs were friendly.
Hotel is huge, they have 3 blocks. I got the far end of the block which was a little bit away from the reception and the restaurants and the open space for smoking.
In 2 circumstances, i walked up to the room and the door card could not work. This happened in 2 different nights. I had to walk down and got it reset, but the staffs didnt bother to apologise for this. The first time it happened I was okay, but the second time it happened, I got pissed off, because it was a long walk from the room to the reception.
If you order food delivery, it will be a long walk to take your food at the reception.
If you got the rooms at the reception level, I'm sure it will be a great experience like the first time I was there in the Junior Suite, but this time it was not as pleasant.
Thumbs up though for the housekeeping, as the found out I had many shirts lying on the sofa, they brought a small clothes rack and hung my shirts.From€23

The only minor inconvenience is the cascading layout of the buildings, but there's a quick solution – just call for a buggy, and it arrives fast.

Overall, I liked everything: the location, the staff, the hotel itself and the room. Yoga was included in the price for free. There was an excellent pool with a view, where there was no one else but us. A couple of minor drawbacks: there's renovation work going on on the third floor, so there's some dust and noise, but it was quiet in the room itself. Also, the lack of a door to the toilet/shower isn't very comfortable if you're not staying alone. Otherwise, only pleasant impressions.From€86

The location is excellent! All the famous restaurants and cafes in Seminyak are within walking distance. A taxi from the airport to the hotel takes about 30 minutes, and there's a convenience store right across the street.
Breakfast is served from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM, and it's quite substantial, though the 10 AM cut-off feels a bit early.
All the staff were incredibly polite and welcoming.

The hotel is in a great city-centre location, making it convenient to access nearby attractions, restaurants, and shopping areas. The staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. Breakfast was included and offered a wide variety of options, catering to different tastes and preferences.
However, there were several issues that affected our experience. The room description on Trip.com stated that the bed would be either a queen bed or twin beds, but we were instead given a king bed, even though we tried checking in as early as possible so that we can get a twin beds room. Bed type should be clearly specified and guaranteed during the booking process to avoid misunderstandings.
The hotel's carpet is quite old and had a noticeable smell. In one of our rooms, the air conditioner appeared dusty and barely blew any air. However, after we contacted the front desk, the issue was resolved promptly, which we appreciated. The curtains were also not blackout curtains, allowing too much light into the room early in the morning.
Despite requesting a quiet room, we were assigned a room next to the swimming pool. The soundproofing was also quite poor, and we could clearly hear people walking and talking along the corridor throughout the day and night, which affected our rest.From€15

My stay at Kenran Resort Ubud was mixed. I had specifically booked a room with a terrace on the 2nd or 3rd floor, but when I arrived, I was given a room on the 1st floor instead. Unfortunately, the room had a very strong mold smell, which made the first night quite unpleasant.
I raised the issue with the staff, and only after a fairly long discussion did they agree to move me to another room the following day. Once I was moved to the 3rd floor, the experience changed completely. The room was much better, and the views from the resort were genuinely beautiful.
My main advice to future guests would be to check the room carefully when you arrive, especially if you are placed on the 1st floor. Based on my experience, I would personally avoid the first-floor rooms.
The breakfast was another weak point for me. The menu felt limited and could definitely be improved.
Overall, the resort has amazing views and a lot of potential, and my stay became very enjoyable after moving to the 3rd floor. However, the first-day room issue and the breakfast quality stopped it from being a great experience from the beginning.From€71

The hotel is very close to Jimbaran Beach, only a 6-7 minute walk away. Plus, there's a really good Indonesian restaurant right outside the hotel that's not too expensive.
The hotel facilities themselves are a bit old, but they're well-maintained. The infinity pool on the top floor is very comfortable and offers great views :)
At night, there's a night market on the road outside the hotel. It's crowded, but there's also a lot of traffic, so walking can be dangerous. I didn't try the food, so I don't know if it's good, haha.
This hotel is part of ASR Ascott, but I enquired beforehand and they don't offer any special member benefits. So it's cheaper to just book through a third-party platform :)From€26

The hotel lobby is very well-designed and showcases a lot of artworks. I especially loved the lobby and the gym floor. The gym floor also has a departure lounge, which is very comfortable and offers unbeatable sea views. The lobby bar and afternoon tea also boast amazing sea views overlooking a cliff.
Looking up at the hotel from below at night gives a sense of pilgrimage. I was upgraded to a cliff-edge private pool suite and enjoyed complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea, and cocktails at the lounge. This perk was excellent because not only does the lounge have superb views, but the à la carte breakfast was quite impressive.
The pool is large, and the children's slide was my kids' favorite. The loungers by the pool are all big and provide excellent shade, which is better than other hotels. I took a look at the Ritz nearby, and I feel this hotel's rooms and facilities are far superior. We also encountered wealthy locals having a grand wedding at the hotel and got to watch a free fireworks display over the sea.From€265

We decided to stay at this hotel for a night before our fishing trip, and we are so incredibly glad we chose this place! From the moment we arrived, the experience was wonderful. The location is very convenient, and the sea here is just great for relaxing.
A special huge thank you to the staff, who are absolutely sweet and highly responsive. We want to specifically mention Nicho at the reception and the Duty Manager, Ryan Bawa, for their excellent hospitality. Right after we checked in, they even called our room to ask if everything was okay and if we needed anything-such a thoughtful and attentive gesture!
For families, this is a fantastic choice because the nannies in the kids' club are wonderful and take great care of the little ones.
The dining experience was also a big highlight. The food portions are very large and satisfying, and the breakfast is simply excellent. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning!From€89

A large, modern hotel with excellent grounds.
We arrived at 2 PM and were immediately checked into our room. Upon check-in, they offer a welcome drink, which was a very nice touch. All the staff throughout the hotel greet you with a smile.
The room has everything you need, including a small balcony. Ours faced the sunny side and had a small drying rack for wet clothes, which dried quickly in the sun. The bed, mattress, and pillows were incredibly comfortable; you sleep like a baby. All the linens were clean, new, and fresh. The soundproofing was excellent. The towels were great, both in the room and those provided by the pool.
The beach is about 500 meters away, a 5-minute walk through the hotel grounds and a quiet street between hotels. There are barriers there, so no outsiders can drive through.
When you leave the hotel for the beach, they provide a towel and an umbrella if needed.
If you don't want to walk, there's a small shuttle, but there's no point waiting for it; everything is very close and easy to find.
The beach is public, with a wide shoreline and soft sand. There are tides and waves; during our stay, they were small, but I think it might not be very comfortable with children. The coastline is very long, about 3 km, and extends all the way to Denpasar Airport.
There are many cafes and restaurants along the shore, and at the very end is the famous fish market, where you can buy freshly caught fish from fishermen and have it cooked right there. The variety of fish, mussels, lobsters, and oysters is astounding. Everything is incredibly cheap, yet so fresh and delicious.
On the hotel grounds, there's a huge pool divided into several zones: for children, for swimming, slides, and so on. There's even an area with beach sand, which is very pleasant and convenient—something you don't often see. Sun loungers are always available at any time, so there's no need to rush in the morning to reserve one. The pool has lovely soft inflatable mattresses that you can float or nap on.
The breakfasts are very decent; they have everything you need, including fresh juices. Everything is delicious and fresh, including fish, cheeses, etc.
From 4 PM to 5 PM, there's a chocolate hour in the main restaurant, offering various sweets. I highly recommend visiting, with or without children.
The hotel grounds were always impeccably clean; there are many workers, all busy doing something and maintaining the area.
Jimbaran is, of course, first and foremost about beautiful sunsets, either from the hotel window or, even better, from the beach. It's truly one of the best places in the world where the huge red sun sets directly into the ocean—unforgettable.
Housekeeping at the hotel is very good and thorough.
On our check-in day, it was our wedding anniversary, and we informed the reception. They surprised us with beautifully decorated fruits and desserts. It was very pleasant, delicious, and very thoughtful!From€100

Just like other reviews mentioned, the location was great, the atmosphere was lovely, the food was delicious, and the staff were friendly – everything was wonderful. However, there was just one thing: there were two or three mosquitoes in the room, and each of us got more than 10 bites. When the hotel staff asked if anything was bothering us, I jokingly mentioned the mosquito problem, and they said there was nothing they could do, so I just accepted it. The next day, I searched online, went to a supermarket, bought something like a mosquito repellent mat, and plugged it in, which helped a bit.
After that, I moved to a 5-star hotel in another area, and guess what? There was already a mosquito repellent mat in the room! Perhaps that's why there are no mosquitoes here, and I finally feel comfortable. It would be great if there was a little more thoughtful service. Nevertheless, the food at Fisherman's Club was absolutely delicious, and we had a great time. Next time, I think I'll bring three liquid mosquito repellent mats with me!From€193

My impressions are mixed. On the plus side: the hotel has a pleasant nook, the road leading to it and the surrounding area are nice, and there's a small lake and a couple of decent restaurants for a quick bite right opposite. It's much better than most of Uluwatu, which is filled with broken roads and endless construction. The rooms are a bit dated; there was a nail sticking out from under the TV stand, and the toilet kept making a flushing noise occasionally after pressing the button, but overall it was clean and tidy. We didn't ask to change rooms, though. Breakfast was satisfactory; like everywhere else, it was sometimes difficult to get eggs from the station, but there were many alternatives like pancakes, local soups and main courses, pastries, and desserts. The same restaurant for lunch/dinner was a bit overpriced, portions were smaller than usual, and there wasn't much meat in the dishes. We also had to order drinks twice and wait before being told they were out of stock. For savings, I recommend joining the hotel's loyalty program for a 20% discount on your bill, but for truly good food, it's better to eat outside the hotel. We booked the hotel with 'bonuses' including a massage, which was fine, and welcome drinks (available any day at the restaurant/bar) – these turned out to be just two tiny glasses of boxed juice. Honestly, it would be better not to offer such a gift at all than to offer that. We only dipped into the pool once; there were no staff members on that floor at all, so we had to bring our own towels. There's a billiards table, but it's always covered with a cloth. There were some cracked tiles and construction boards in places, and they were mowing the lawn nearby. Definitely not a place for a full day of chilling, but you can go for a quick half-hour swim. My biggest dissatisfaction at the hotel was with the towel situation and the staff's response to it. Initially, there were only THREE towels in the room. For two people. In a supposedly four-star hotel. Two bath towels and one foot towel, that's it. Immediately after checking in, we went to the reception and asked for two more small hand towels. A couple of hours later, nothing. We went a second time, and okay, they brought the towels, problem solved. But the next day during cleaning, they took these towels (and note, they weren't thrown on the floor; the hotel's policy is supposedly 'eco-friendly,' and according to the rules in the room, towels for 'replacement' are supposed to be thrown on the floor), and didn't provide new ones. Another trip to reception followed, and we agreed that for the rest of our stay, no towels in our room should be changed at all – just the trash taken out. This rule was followed for another day, but then the towels were taken again. We were too tired to fight it anymore and just accepted it. Judging by other reviews and the situation we observed, there's high staff turnover here; there's one competent administrator, but the rest are green trainees who know absolutely nothing. Also, I recommend getting a room with a balcony, because after two days of drying inside the room, I still had to use a hairdryer on my swimsuit to pack it in my suitcase. With cotton clothes, it would be even worse.From€38
