"I had a pleasant stay at this hotel during my trip to Seoul. The hotel was nice and clean, and the check-in process was fast and smooth, which made arrival stress-free. Although the room was a bit small, it was still comfortable enough for 3 people. One of the highlights is the location, there are plenty of food stalls around the hotel, offering authentic local bites without the overwhelming crowds you’d find in Myeongdong. Personally, I found this area much more enjoyable and relaxing. The metro station is just a 3-minute walk away, making it very convenient to explore the city. Travel Tip: From the airport, take the train to Seoul Station (either normal or express), then transfer to the blue line to Chungmuro Station. If you’re carrying luggage, Exit 5 is the best choice since it has an escalator — just walk toward Starbucks. Otherwise, Exit 7 is a quicker option. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for travelers looking for a clean, convenient, and well-located stay in Seoul."

Hotels in Mapo-gu,Seoul
The Seoul Garden Hotel is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. Visitors to Seoul will find that the Seoul Garden Hotel is a fantastic accommodation choice. Traveling to the hotel is easy with Yongsan Station located approximately 2km away and Gimpo International Airport roughly 13km away. Transportation around the city is also convenient, with Mapo Metro Station within walking distance. Seeing Seoul's sights from this hotel is easy with Yeouido, Seoul Cruise and Yeouido Hangang Park all close by. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. For those driving themselves, parking is provided on site. If you are looking for a convenient place to stay, our guests have told us that this location is excellent. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling with friends.

"I took my daughter on a trip to Korea, and a friend recommended this hotel before we left. Although the price was a little high, I still booked it. **Transportation:** From Incheon Airport, if you don't have too much luggage, you can easily take the subway. It's very convenient. A subway ticket is around 5,000 Korean won, which is cheaper than a bus ticket. After exiting the subway, it's about an 8-minute walk to the hotel. **Service:** There's a young man at the front desk who can communicate in Chinese. The staff clean the rooms daily and provide two bottles of water in the fridge. Everyone is very polite. **Amenities:** There's a power outlet on the desk that accepts plugs from my home country (only one, see my photo). There's a slow-charging Type-C port by the bed. The room has a mini-fridge, hairdryer, and kettle. The hotel lobby has a self-service currency exchange machine where you can exchange RMB for Korean won (cash only, no Alipay, etc.). However, the exchange rate is slightly higher than at home. **Dining:** Behind the hotel, there's a food street. There are many reviews on Xiaohongshu. I tried chicken soup, Lee Garden, potato and pork bone soup, and tteokbokki. All were delicious. The tteokbokki was very spicy. The portions were generous! **Local Transport:** I used the subway for all my travels (Gongdeok Station and Mapo Station are both accessible); I didn't use buses. Korea has shared bicycles, so those who can download the app might want to try it. Overall, the hotel is good. **P.S.:** Trip.com's service was also good. They helped me communicate with the hotel regarding my booking, which was very helpful."

Hotel near Myeong-dong,Seoul
Renovated in 2026, the Hotel PJ Myeongdong is a great choice for accommodation in Seoul. With Seoul Station just 3km away and Gimpo International Airport only 17km away, transportation is very convenient. The closest major public transportation, Euljiro 4(sa)ga Metro Station, is only 300m away. Famous local attractions Gwangjang Market, SPAREX JJIMJILBANG(Sparex Good Morning City) and Dongdaemun History & Culture Park, can all be reached with a short walk. After a long day of sightseeing, guests can retire to the comfort of the hotel. Guests of this Seoul hotel can make use of the parking facilities. Germaphobes can rest easy - the level of cleanliness is highly rated at this hotel. This hotel is a popular accommodation for groups of friends traveling together.

"Big shoutout to the front desk guy who spoke Chinese! Communication was a breeze, and he was super nice, even helped us with a taxi. The location is great, with subway lines 3, 4, and 5 all nearby. Lines 4 and 5 are the closest, which is really convenient; it's just one stop to Myeongdong. But since we enjoy walking, we often just walked to Myeongdong anyway – it's not too far, maybe three blocks. The hotel has a CU convenience store, which is perfect for breakfast or a late-night snack. Our room was newly renovated, very comfortable, tidy, and clean. The soundproofing was excellent; even when people next door had their door open, we couldn't hear a thing with our door closed. The facilities are also great – there's an ice machine, hot and drinking water, and a microwave. The only downside is that the price was a bit high during the summer holidays."

"Absolutely loved my stay here, it was super comfortable and I felt very safe throughout! From the time I spent in the dining area, I noticed a lot of young travellers and even international working professionals stay here, so everyone is very respectful in regards to quiet hours, cleanliness, and minding their own business. I was impressed upon arriving to my room and was even more impressed by the smart design of the shower system! Everything is provided, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, makeup remover, towels, hair dryer, and even toothbrush+toothpaste. Even if you’re missing something there’s a CU convenience store within walking distance away. Every part of check-in was smooth including setting up your locker area ! "There's no door between the dressing room and the bedroom, which was fine for me as a solo traveler, but it might be a bit inconvenient if you're with someone else. Perhaps the room layouts vary. The large bathtub was a nice touch. The lighting was a bit dim, making it tricky for makeup, and the mirror was placed in an awkward spot. They were able to accommodate an early check-in and even lent me a charger 😊. It's a bit of a walk from the station, but there are plenty of shops around, and the area seems safe. I'd definitely consider staying here again!"

"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! Everything was spotlessly clean, and the service throughout my stay was top-notch. The staff were exceptionally warm, welcoming, and helpful, which made us feel right at home. Its location is super convenient, with a metro station just a short walk away, making getting around the city very easy. The only minor downside is that it is a bit far from major tourist spots like Myeongdong and Seongsu-dong. Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Seoul Myeongdong

The location is fantastic! Although the room was small, the layout was very efficient. I was surprised they even managed to fit a bathtub and had a separate wet/dry area in such a small space – only in Japan/Korea! The great location meant I could pop back to the hotel to drop off my shopping, which saved a lot of time. Plus, if you cut through the Olive Young store next door, you can get to the other side of the street easily. When checking out, you can use the self-service machine on the first floor, which is super quick. Cars can pull right up to the entrance in the morning and evening. At other times, you have to walk a short distance, but overall, it's very convenient – a one-stop shop for eating, shopping, and exploring!

The front desk staff were incredibly warm and friendly. The room was very quiet and well-equipped, with universal power outlets, so no adapter was needed. The hotel's surroundings were lively, making shopping very convenient. There's a 24-hour convenience store right across the street, and Hongdae shopping street is just a 5-minute walk away.

This was the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in, truly the best. I was only really there to sleep, so it more than met my needs. Having a convenience store right under the hotel was super handy. My only minor gripes were that the shower stall was a bit small, and adjusting the water temperature was tricky. The hotel staff were incredibly kind. They showed me how to use the coffee machine, told me I could enjoy breakfast on the balcony, and even used a translation app during check-out to tell me how happy they were to have guests from Japan. They were truly warm and welcoming. I'd definitely love to stay here again!

This hotel is beautiful. It was very clean and quiet outside, but closest to everything without being chaotic. It was so so clean and the room was big. The washer in the room is so convenient. It’s a little much to drag your luggage from check in to building B, but it’s still worth it. I’d definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Acube Hotel Dongdaemun during a recent layover, and it turned out to be an excellent, fuss-free choice for a short stopover in Seoul. From the moment we arrived, the check-in process was incredibly quick and efficient, which we highly appreciated after a tiring flight. The rooms themselves were spotlessly clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable space to unwind and recharge. Additionally, the location is very convenient for exploring; it is situated just 1.5 kilometers from Myeongdong Street and its famous night market, making it easy to pop out for some world-class street food and shopping without wasting time in transit. Overall, it is a highly recommended spot for anyone looking for a seamless, comfortable, and well-located stay.

Aloft by Marriott Seoul Gangnam

The hotel surroundings are nice, and the front desk staff speak basic English. On the first day, I found a midge on the curtains, but otherwise, the cleanliness was acceptable, and there was no drain smell from the bathroom. Disposable slippers were provided, but no toothbrush or toothpaste. Everything in the minibar, except for water, was chargeable. I booked a hotel in Gangnam because I was attending a concert at KSPO Dome. Pros: After the concert, it was usually easy to find a seat on the Express Line 9, and I could quickly reach Bongeunsa Station. There aren't many restaurants on the way back to the hotel, but there are several convenience stores. Cons: The walk from Bongeunsa Station to the hotel is really, really far, and you have to climb a gentle slope before descending! Cheongdam Station is about half the distance, but coming from Olympic Park, you'd need to transfer from Line 5 to Line 7, and Line 5 is usually much more crowded after events. Additionally, I had extended my stay through Trip.com before check-in, but the front desk initially thought I had only booked one night. After some communication, they found the extension order and processed it. However, on the second night, my room card stopped working and needed to be re-authorized. I hope the platform and the hotel can improve this issue.

Qianqian Hotel was truly the highlight of my trip. The ambiance is unique, and you can tell the owner has great taste and vision just by looking at the bamboo at the entrance and the decor in the common areas. I booked a suite, and it was incredibly spacious. Compared to the tiny business hotel I stayed in before, which cost over 2000, this room was so much more comfortable. The front desk staff was super friendly and welcoming, making check-in a breeze even though I arrived quite late. The only minor inconvenience is that you have to take the stairs, but given how comfortable my stay was, it really didn't matter. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to Hongdae, which isn't super close, but I mostly took taxis anyway, so it was still convenient. The surrounding neighborhood is lovely, with lots of small cafes, bakeries, and a small supermarket nearby, making it very convenient. For this price, location, and environment, it was truly a delightful surprise! Highly recommend!

There's not much in the way of service in Korea, so that's pretty normal. They can store luggage for you, and at least they don't give you a dirty look, which is a plus. However, this hotel doesn't clean rooms daily. I paid over 1000 and still didn't expect that; they only clean once every four days! The windows in this hotel are designed in a way that lets in a lot of light, so if you're sensitive to light while sleeping, bring an eye mask! Definitely avoid the lower floors, or be sure to bring earplugs! Ctrip's customer service was excellent and kept trying to resolve issues, but there's no negotiating with hotels abroad. So, for places like this, it's better to book through a major platform, otherwise, it can be a really frustrating experience! I found short hairs on the bed in another room, and they actually asked me how I could prove the hair was theirs. All of us have long hair... so, Koreans have a strange way of thinking. If you're a clean freak, you might want to bring your own bedding.

The biggest highlight is definitely the location — it’s super convenient, close to Gangnam’s main areas, restaurants, cafés, shopping, and public transportation. It made getting around Seoul really easy. The only downside is that the room is quite small, especially if you have large luggage or are staying for several nights. There isn’t much space to fully open suitcases comfortably.

Location is perfect! 2 minutes walking distance to seonyudo station and there’s A LOT of coffee shop, especially internationa famous Starbucks just next door. English speakers are available but maybe they could be more friendly in attending guests. However, rooms are beautiful and clean. Housekeeper were very friendly and helped with things we requested! Overall stay was wonderful~ Will stay again when i visit seoul next time.
