"This is my 2nd time staying at this wonderful hotel. The hotel cleanliness is top notch. Especially their toilet and bathtub. It is very clean and there is no unpleasant toilet smell unlike other hotels. Your room will be clean up everyday with new towels replaced. The hotel is just walking distance to the train station which will link you directly to all the tourist hotspots. The hotel staff at the counter was also very friendly and they can speak good english without having to do google translate.  I just hope the next time i come, the TV channel can be up and working as mine did not work previously. Other than that, it is worth every cents to stay at this hotel. Keep it up. 👍👍"

Amazing
AAnonymous UserThe location is super convenient, right by Lotte. You can access the mall directly from the basement, and if you walk across the street, there are plenty of food options and drugstores. It feels like an older, well-established hotel with a certain level of class, but it is showing its age. The hairdryer isn't very powerful and could definitely use an upgrade. Overall, I thought the room was quite decent. Nothing else really stood out, but it was alright. I'd consider staying again if the price was a bit lower.

SstellarmumuThis is a great hotel, although the rooms are a bit small. The front desk was a little cold during check-in and didn't offer much information. However, during our two-day stay, the service was impeccable and thought-out. For example, at 9:30 PM, when we were buying snacks at the convenience store by the main entrance, the shuttle bus driver proactively asked if we wanted a ride up (we didn't even know there was a shuttle, as the front desk hadn't mentioned it). And you absolutely *must* try the bakery on the first floor – it's Seoul's number one French patisserie.

Aalis_hanaThis hotel is quite close to Olympic Hall and KSPO Dome, and you can definitely walk there, especially since it's in Seoul's tallest building, visible right from the venue. However, the value for money is a bit low; for the same price, I'd recommend Josun Palace. The hotel opened in 2017, but the facilities already feel dated. The view from the top floor isn't as visually appealing as Josun's either. Plus, because of its tower structure, the elevator lobby reminds me of high-rise offices in Shanghai's Pudong. The room type I booked included lounge access, but the offerings there were far inferior to those at the JW Marriott Seoul. On the bright side, it's very convenient to Lotte World below. There's also a street with food and pub options nearby that's bustling with locals even late at night, a walkable but not strictly necessary distance. Unless I need to attend another concert in the vicinity, I probably won't stay here again.

BBingbingle、The front desk service was excellent, very enthusiastic, and they even spoke Chinese, making check-in a breeze! The room was spacious, and the facilities were great. Breakfast is à la carte, so you might have a bit of a wait during peak hours. It's really close to Shinsegae and Lotte Department Store! I'd definitely choose this place again on my next visit.

WWolfgang_JoThe Sofitel Ambassador Seoul Hotel & Serviced Residences delivers a generally good stay. The rooms are a comfortable size, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully appointed, making it easy to unwind after a busy day in the city. The fitness center and pool area exceed expectations—spacious, well-equipped, and beautifully maintained. However, there are a few drawbacks that can impact your experience. Weekend breakfast service is limited to just three fixed time slots (6:30, 8:00, and 9:30 AM). Arriving at 9:00 AM means a 30-minute wait, which feels frustrating compared to hotels that offer rolling buffet times or extra seating. Similarly, the pool requires reservations for certain time windows, and children under 16 aren’t permitted in the locker or changing rooms. This policy makes it awkward for a parent and child—while you can change, your daughter cannot, which seems poorly thought out. Overall, the Sofitel Ambassador offers top-tier accommodations and amenities, but its rigid scheduling and family-unfriendly pool policies detract slightly from an otherwise wonderful hotel.

KKit YingI had an incredible stay at the Four Seasons Hotel Seoul. The service was exceptional, with a special mention to Jenna, I met the first day with 6 hours flight delay who went above and beyond to make my experience unforgettable. The housekeeping team was equally outstanding, ensuring my room was always spotless and adding thoughtful touches that enhanced my stay (Thank you for the yummy chocolate pastries and eye masks). The hotel’s facilities, location, and overall atmosphere were flawless, truly embodying luxury and comfort.  The only minor downside was the mattress, which was a bit softer than I prefer. However, this didn’t detract from the amazing experience. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Seoul!   Also no worries about restaurants there, many restaurants you can see nearby. The BBQ restaurant opposite the hotel is absolutely amazing! The two ladies there are incredibly friendly and especially attentive to children. The Korean beef and pork are truly delicious, and the kimchi, along with the slightly spicy mushroom soup, is fantastic. It’s even better than the Michelin one-star BBQ beef restaurant I visited the next day in Gangnam.

YyucongseuThis hotel is right in Myeongdong, making shopping incredibly convenient – just step downstairs and you're there. Getting around is also easy, with taxis readily available and Myeongdong subway station very close by. It's also next to the Chinese Embassy, and the room I booked happened to be an 'embassy view' room, which made me feel extra secure. All the facilities and amenities are pretty complete, the cleanliness is quite good, and the service is also okay. It's a great place to stay if you're in Myeongdong for shopping. As for the downsides: breakfast on the top floor offers nice views, but the food selection is limited. Also, disposable items like toothpaste, toothbrushes, and combs in the room come with a charge (which I believe is a standard regulation in Korea).

EEnigmaXSSMy overall experience was definitely not worth the price; it feels like their high ranking was bought. The room was tiny, and the 'king bed' wasn't a real king-sized bed but two single beds pushed together with a mattress on top. Plus, they didn't provide toothbrushes, so I had to spend 8,000 Korean won on a toothbrush and toothpaste for my 5-day stay. But the most unbelievable thing was the breakfast – it was absolutely awful! They never changed the menu; for five days straight, it was the same variety you'd find in a budget hotel in China, similar to a Huazhu or Atour breakfast. And despite the cold weather in Korea, the restaurant didn't even turn on the heating. On the first morning, I went down to eat without a coat and ended up freezing, having to go back to my room for my Canada Goose down jacket. Many foreigners complained about the cold too. The hotel restaurant's excuse was that the electricity was overloaded and automatically shut off, but I honestly think they intentionally turned off the heating to save money, as if the restaurant was managed by a third party. Eating breakfast felt like being outdoors, freezing to death. Anyway, the overall experience wasn't worth the price at all; it's definitely overpriced. You know how big data works, right?

LLuy!The hotel is conveniently located near Hyundai Department Store, within walking distance, but the surrounding area is quite quiet. The room I stayed in was very spacious, which is rare for Seoul, offering plenty of room to move around without feeling cramped at all. However, the washbasin was poorly designed and felt narrow even for one person, with no space to put toiletries or personal items, which was a bad experience. For three consecutive mornings, glass cleaning started on the building exterior around 8 AM. The construction noise was disruptive to sleep.

NNccs2004I stayed here for a night out in Seoul with a close friends from high school, and his wife meeting up in Asia. As always, when staying at the Grand Hyatt, you end up not having a “night out” but rather a “night in” because the amenities at the hotel are spectacular. The live band in the lobby bar, the pool turned into the Girbaud ice skating rink, amazingly cooked steakhouse, the indoor pool, etc etc. We had a great night, and once again, when staying at any Grand Hyatt, you never know who you’ll run into. On this occasion, we had run into solo artist/actor Mr Henry Lau, also from Super Junior, and was he was not only kind enough to take a quick photo with my friend’s wife, but I messed up the photo—and after learning I had bumbled the photo during her opportunity to meet one of her k-pop idols—was willing to take another entire series of photos. The staff ended up helping me with a medical emergency in the middle of the night and stayed very calm during the entire process. Which I will also report to the company directly. When traveling to Korea—Seoul, Jeju, etc. and anywhere abroad I often stay at the Grand Hyatt in the King Corner Suite. Such a beautiful room, but on this occasion it was just a normal King River view on 9F. A bit small for 3 people, but they made a sofa bed for me while I gave the couple the bed since I only grabbed the room for us (me) for a few hours before I head back to Wuhan—allowing my friends to enjoy the hotel to themselves after I departed. Easy checkout process for them. It was very nice. Will definitely be back. Grand Hyatt <3 !
