Location wise, Marguerite Hotel is almost perfect - nearest exit is Myeongdong Exit 1 (bonus as it comes with escalator), the Daiso that is a must visit for all tourists, near to Namsan Tower, airport limousine bus (right across Hotel Prince), and of course, just opposite the Myeongdong shopping heaven. You can always return to the hotel to stash your stuffs or for a quick refresh. For Muslim travellers, ”Lepakla” restaurant is just 5 steps away from the hotel, and near to Kampungku and Mari Meokja. Facilities like water dispenser (located at Ground Floor and second floor), tea and coffee is available 24/7. Iron is available upon request, bur ironing in your hotel room requires a bit of creativity as the size of the room could not accommodate luggages, let alone an ironing board. The projector in the room was a nice touch, I asked the receptionist how to use it and he said I need to connect it to my own laptop. But I don't carry HDMI cables around, especially when travelling. So after fiddling with the remote, I found out that I don't need to conect it to my laptop after all, as YouTube and Netflix is already readily available on the projector. The down side is, the size of the room. I managed to lay open my 26 inch luggage, but that leaves me no more room for other things. But the worst part is, the service of the hotel. Due to my bad knees, I have made a request for a room on lower floors via Trip. Upon check-in, I politely requested again for a room on lower floors. However, I was assigned to a room on the highest floor. The staff said nothing could be done, which was really disappointing. The staff offered to bring my luggage to the room, which I was grateful for, however, I had to drag my luggages all the way from fourth floor through the narrow staircase all the way down, resulting damage to my luggage. So if going up and down the staircase (there's no elevator/lift), is an issue, you might want to check out other places instead.

I was very satisfied with my stay this time! The location is a big plus, very close to the subway and shopping malls, making it super convenient to get around. The room was bright and clean, and the bedding was comfortable, so I slept really well. The front desk staff were friendly, and overall it was great value for money. The room was also spacious and quite roomy! The bathroom had no unpleasant odors, making for a worry-free and comfortable stay. Excellent hotel, highly recommended. You can take Line 5 directly from Gimpo Airport to the hotel, which is just 300 meters from Mapo Station on Line 5, right by the Han River, with Yeouido Island visible across the water. Downstairs, there's a 7-Eleven and several small restaurants. Upon entering, the scenic elevator on the left takes you to the hotel lobby on the 20th floor, offering breathtaking views of the Han River. The official check-in time is 3 PM, but I was able to check in around 2:30 PM. The front desk staff spoke fluent English, making communication seamless, and were very friendly and helpful. They also provided a hotel information sheet in Chinese, making the check-in process incredibly smooth. I booked a Deluxe River View room, and the river view was absolutely stunning. All essential amenities were provided, and I particularly liked the circular bathtub. The mini-bar offered snacks like nuts and chocolates, drinks such as Coke and Sprite, and four types of alcoholic beverages, all for an additional charge. It's worth noting that due to Korean government regulations, disposable dental kits cost 1000 Korean Won per use, and disposable shaving kits also cost 1000 Korean Won per use. The hotel breakfast was of excellent quality, feeling a bit superior to the average five-star hotel in Korea. There was a rich variety of salads, cold cuts, sushi, pastries, and more. There were four types of soup, including spicy beef soup and sweet pumpkin soup, and four hot dishes, such as spicy stir-fried pork and fried chicken/fish pieces. Each table could also order à la carte items like omelets and yogurt bowls. The swimming pool on the 22nd floor is great, with both indoor and outdoor sections that connect. In the evening, the outdoor pool offers spectacular views, perfect for photos.

Originally, I booked a hotel in Gangnam, but considering factors like shopping and sightseeing, I decided to switch to Voco Myeongdong at the last minute. Overall, I'm quite satisfied. In terms of service, from the front desk reception to the lounge, the swimming pool, and breakfast, every staff member was smiling and dedicated to providing excellent service. It was really good. For dining, the breakfast selection was extensive and the food tasted great. Enjoying a hot bowl of Vietnamese pho in the morning was very comforting. The lounge also had a good selection; happy hour offered three hot dishes, along with cold platters, desserts, drinks, and alcoholic beverages, all of high quality. The room was also quite satisfactory. It was well-equipped with all sorts of amenities. The first round of the mini-bar was complimentary every day, and the quality was decent. The smart toilet and bathtub were very convenient. There were also USB and Type-C chargers. The only minor issues were that the USB charging port seemed to be of poor quality and often disconnected. The 0.8m bed was a bit narrow, and there was a slight risk of falling off when turning over. Also, upon check-in, there were two bottles of shampoo and one conditioner in the shower, and I had to inform the front desk to get a bottle of body wash sent up. Furthermore, the swimming pool closes quite early, at 8:00 PM. The location is truly excellent. There's a subway station and several bus stops right downstairs. From the lounge, you can directly see Namsan Tower. Namdaemun Market is right across the street, and it's a direct walk to Lotte and Shinsegae Duty-Free Department Stores, as well as Myeongdong's main shopping street, making it very convenient for shopping. The hotel also has a GS25, Burger King, and coffee shops, making it incredibly easy to grab a bite or a drink. I would definitely choose this hotel again next time.

This is a very new hotel with all new facilities, but the rooms had absolutely no paint odor, which was a big plus. The entire room was very clean; the hygiene was truly excellent! We were traveling with three generations of our family—a child and an elderly person—so we were quite particular about the comfort, space, and convenience of the room. We were very satisfied with the overall size and layout of the room, and the design was clever, especially the well-arranged luggage space, which didn't take up much of the room's living area. Self-check-in/check-out was also very convenient. There was a minor hiccup during our stay, but the manager handled it very proactively. Their communication and problem-solving attitude was very nice, and their overall service was excellent, which left a very good impression on me. The location is also very convenient. The hotel is just across the street from Myeongdong, but because it's not in the most bustling area of ​​Myeongdong, it's actually quite quiet at night—convenient yet not too noisy. There's a coffee shop downstairs, making breakfast convenient; the coffee in the room was also very good. The subway and bus stops are very close, and although we didn't use public transportation much this time, the location was indeed very convenient. Furthermore, our room had a direct view of Namsan Tower, a true ”tower view room,” beautiful both day and night. Overall, this was probably the best hotel I've stayed at in Myeongdong. The room was new, clean, well-laid out, conveniently located, and the service was excellent. It's also very suitable for families with children and seniors. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Seoul!

Perched on a hillside, getting around was a bit of a hassle, but the hotel itself felt very high-end. The entrance and lobby had a very elegant, old-school luxury hotel vibe, and the service was incredibly professional. From my room, I had a panoramic view of the city. The room hallways and the rooms themselves felt a bit dated but were very clean, with an older decor style. The hotel has a gym, pool, and tennis courts. It's a really large property, nestled against the mountain, offering beautiful and comfortable scenery – perfect for a relaxing getaway.

I simply love this hotel!  Of course, it has aged over time ( like myself! ) so it is not as shiny as I remember it, but the location is great and the staff are all very nice.   The first 2 days, I was not able to encounter one staff member I remember from my previous visits, but when checking out today, he happened to be present!!! Exactly as I remember him, warm, friendly and wonderful hospitality.  He is the reason I will stay here whenever I visit Seoul.   Thank you for making my trip to Seoul wonderful every time!!!

I booked a twin room this time, and for someone like me who's used to a firm mattress, it was a bit too soft. The location is excellent, right by Jongno 3-ga Exit 14, which has an escalator, so it's less than a 2-minute walk. The room amenities include a TV (no YouTube or Netflix, but paid movies are available), air conditioning, a mini-fridge, a wardrobe, a bedside table, a safe, and a hairdryer. The room itself isn't huge, but the bathroom is a decent size, and there are plenty of outlets. The basement offers free self-service laundry facilities, complete with detergent, which is super convenient for travelers.

Excellent location. Breakfast is included, along with amenities such as towels and slippers. Overall cleanliness is good, though the bathrooms are somewhat dated and in need of renovation. The female dormitory is essentially a single large room packed with beds; while there are spacious lockers for belongings, there is very little space in the aisles.

We stayed 6 nights here. Even though the hotel is older, but very clean and no smell no bugs in the toilet. 10 minutes walk to metro but 1 minute to bus stop with buses to almost everywhere, personally I do enjoy bus rides more so that is a plus. Free water, daily cleaning and basic amenities are really nice. + affordability! 100% recommend❤️
