"Stayed at Myeongdong Merlin Hotel for a short transit and overall it was a good experience. The location is convenient about 15–20 minutes to Myeongdong Night Street, which is great if you want easy access to shopping and food. We arrived quite late (around 10pm) after traveling from Busan and checked out early at 5am to head to ICN airport. Even with the short stay, everything went smoothly. Check-in was quick and hassle-free, which we really appreciated after a long journey. We were traveling in a big group (18 people), and the hotel managed us well. Rooms were clean and facilities were sufficient for a short stay. Service was also efficient. Overall, a solid and convenient choice especially for short stays or transit in Seoul 👍"

"The location is very nice. You can easily walk to Myeongdong, Namsan Tower, and many restaurants, and transportation is convenient. The staff were very kind and helpful. However, it’s difficult for me to say this was a good stay overall. Here are the reasons why: • Elevator – The elevator is only for luggage, not for guests. This should be clearly stated before booking. As in here it’s show as the property has an elevator without explaining that it is a cargo elevator, it is misleading. • Security – The room password was simply the room number with an additional “1” added to it. I didn’t leave valuables in the room, so I wasn’t too worried, but it still felt like a weak security system. • Room Door – There is no additional lock on the inside of the room. While the digital lock can be activated, I never felt completely confident that the door was fully secured. • Soft Opening Without Notice – When I booked, there was no mention that the property was still in a soft-opening stage. I expected the hotel to be fully operational. Instead, there were unfinished areas, items left around the property, and staff frequently entering rooms after check-in to inspect or photograph things without being asked. Had I known the hotel was not fully ready, I would have considered other options before booking. • Poor Room Layout – My room was 405, located at the end of the hallway. The neighboring room (404) had a door positioned in a way that it would hit my door whenever opened carelessly. During my four-night stay, the guests next door banged their door into mine repeatedly. Eventually, at around 1 a.m. one night, I had to contact the staff and ask them to address the issue. • Cleanliness Concerns – The property appears to use the same type of towel for everything. When I asked about a bathroom mat, I was told to use a towel instead. This gave me the impression that the towels were being used for multiple purposes, including drying floors. On top of that, the towels shed lint and left fibers on my skin after use. • Very Small Bathroom – Please be aware that the bathroom is extremely small. The shower is positioned directly over the toilet, and there is barely enough room to stand while showering. In practice, you almost need to sit on the toilet to shower comfortably. After two nights, I seriously considered moving to another hotel. The only reason I stayed was because my mother didn’t want to move all of our belongings again. To be fair, one of the staff members (possibly the owner) sincerely apologized and explained that they were trying their best. I do believe they genuinely care and are making an effort. However, there is still a long way to go before this property is ready to provide a comfortable hotel experience."

Hotel near Myeong-dong,Seoul
Complimentary breakfast for all guests Up to 2 children under 6 stay free ( Bedding and pillows not provided) Henn na Hotel, the world’s first robot hotel recognized by the Guinness World Records, has opened its first location in Korea—right in the heart of Myeong-dong, Seoul. Enjoy a unique blend of advanced technology and relaxing comfort in the city's top tourist district. Major attractions like N Seoul Tower, Gyeongbokgung Palace, Insadong, Bukchon Hanok Village, Seongsu, and DDP are all within 5–30 minutes by foot or public transportation. All rooms are equipped with bathtubs and feature separated toilet and bathroom areas, providing a private and pleasant stay. Each room also includes a 50-inch Smart TV and a premium ACE bed for maximum comfort. In the lobby, children can enjoy dinosaur displays and a friendly front desk robot, making it a fun experience for families. Up to two children under the age of 6 can stay free of charge (bedding and pillows not provided). The hotel offers delivery robots, AI voice assistant “Giga Genie,” self-check-in kiosks, 24-hour front desk service, and complimentary breakfast served daily from 7:00 to 10:00— providing a truly smart and convenient stay in the center of Seoul.

"The hotel is highly automated with self check-in/out. Amenities are requested via kiosks or robots and come quite fast. My kid loved the robot coming to the room and the moving dinosaur in the lobby. They don’t change the bed linen every day, an after housekeeping on my second day, the hotel slippers were taken away and not replaced, plus you need to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste. The location is very convenient, close to many restaurants and shopping streets, right opposite a 7-Eleven, and about a 10-minute walk to Shinsegae Duty Free, which is the meeting point for many guided tours booked online (GetYourGuide, Klook, KKDay, SeoulPass, Trip.com, etc.). The child-friendly/accessible room was a big plus. We could push the two small beds together with no side table in between, making it safer for our young child to sleep without worrying about falling."

Amazing
SsunnyThis hotel is quite old. For a hotel that costs 4-5k a night during peak season, the view from the window is really just average, to be honest. The interior design of the rooms is also very ordinary. My mom even said it's not as good as a 400 RMB/night hotel back home [awkward laugh]. It's supposed to be a hotel with an 'old money' vibe, but apart from the slightly more luxurious lobby design, you really can't see any five-star luxury anywhere else. My stay experience gets 🌟🌟🌟, and the interior design only gets 🌟🌟🌟🌟. However, it's right next to Shilla Duty Free, just a two or three-minute walk away. So, it's convenient for those 'suckers' who want to shop at the duty-free store.

CCiqingdaThe view is great, and as a suite, it's generally very good with no major drawbacks. The suite includes breakfast, afternoon tea, and happy hour. I didn't take photos of the breakfast, but it was extremely rich and delicious. Afternoon tea is shown in the pictures; there were no alcoholic beverages. The lighting and curtains are all smart-controlled, and there's an iPad by the bed to contact the hotel for requests. The space is also ample. The shower water pressure is excellent; both the overhead and handheld showers can be used simultaneously, and there's a seat. Various types of pillows are provided, such as memory foam pillows. Seoul's air quality is often poor, so the room is equipped with an air purifier, and you can call to have a humidifier delivered. The location is convenient, with the subway station just a 5-minute walk away. If I had to point out a drawback, the hotel has indeed been open for a number of years, and some basic features are a bit old. For example, the air conditioning lacks any advanced functions like scheduled shut-off; it only has a single temperature and fan speed setting.

99-tenFacilities: Very new and exceptionally clean. Hygiene: Excellent. Environment: The location is incredibly convenient. It's very close to the subway station and within walking distance to Myeongdong. Getting to Hongdae and Gyeongbokgung is also a breeze. We had a fantastic five days in Seoul, and this hotel played a huge part in making our trip enjoyable! Service: Both the front desk staff and the housekeeping team were very friendly and helpful. There's a GS convenience store right downstairs, which is super handy for buying T-money cards and other small essentials.

FFengmodehuoI paid 1846 CNY for an accessible deluxe king room. To those of you reading this, please don't overlook the 'accessible' part – it really means accessible, in a way that’s not good. The bathroom, as shown in the first picture, has no wet/dry separation, so after a shower, the entire bathroom is soaked. If you absolutely must stay here, make sure to book a different room type. Secondly, the homepage stated a 1.8-meter king bed, but it was at most 1.5 meters (see picture 2), and one side was against the wall, which was extremely inconvenient. The detailed room photos didn't show anything like this! Thirdly, regarding the 'city view' from the bed (see picture 3), it was literally a wall outside the window, and there was a loud rumbling noise from somewhere outside – I honestly felt like calling the police! Finally, the details page said check-in starts at 3 PM. I went to check in at 3:10 PM, and was told that the specific room I booked was the only accessible one available and there were no other rooms to switch to. The Korean male at the front desk checking me in was really mean. I decided to go back to my room and contact Trip.com customer service. After over an hour of back-and-forth communication, and despite Trip.com trying to resolve the issue, it was incredibly frustrating. Who wants to land in Korea and immediately deal with this kind of crap? It really ruined my mood. Anyway, I gave up, accepted it, and just resigned myself to the situation. So, if you're reading this, consider carefully whether to book this hotel or use this platform. I later saw that the IHG official website had cheaper prices than what I paid, and I wonder if booking directly would have been better. Next time I'm in Seoul, I definitely won't choose this place; I'll try somewhere else.

HHefengmuxiGreat location! The hotel is directly accessible from the subway, so you won't get wet even if it rains. We got a 5-day travel pass for unlimited rides, which was super convenient. The room was well-stocked with towels and tissues, which was a thoughtful touch. There's also free luggage storage downstairs. The view from the window was lovely, and the washing machine worked perfectly, with free detergent provided. I'd definitely come back!

LLlininRight outside Chungmuro Station, Exit 8 on Subway Line 4 – just turn around and you're there! It's about one stop from the busiest part of Myeongdong, either a walk or a subway ride away. There's unlimited self-service drinking water in the lobby. Rooms are cleaned every 3 days. The soundproofing is pretty good, so it's quiet, and the room itself is spacious with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom. The shower pressure is fantastic! And you can even see N Seoul Tower from the room, how cool is that!

GGuest UserOverall, I had a very satisfying stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and the view overlooking Namsan and downtown Seoul was truly impressive. The night skyline, in particular, was one of the highlights of this hotel. What made this stay even more special was the service provided by Manager Minji Cho. Her thoughtful, professional, and genuinely attentive care made the entire experience feel very comfortable and welcoming. Her sincere approach left a lasting impression. Everything from the facilities to the service was excellent, and this is definitely a hotel I would be happy to return to on my next visit to Seoul. I would like to sincerely thank Manager Minji Cho for the outstanding service.

GGuest UserThe hotel is conveniently located near Exit 15 of Jongno 3-ga Station, and the bus from Incheon Airport also stops nearby. It's tucked away at the end of a narrow alley, so it might be a bit tricky to find and seems a little uninviting at first, but it's perfectly safe to enter. It's super convenient for going out for meals or to a sauna at night, exploring Ikseon-dong, or taking a quick train ride to Myeongdong. The reception staff are friendly, and the interior is stylish and functional – perfect for a tourist stay. I'd definitely like to stay here again if I have the chance.

AAnonymous Userhe room itself was clean, modern, and efficiently designed. While not very spacious, it had everything I needed: a comfortable bed, strong shower pressure, and reliable WiFi. It’s ideal if you’re out most of the day exploring and just need a solid place to rest. I also appreciated the 24-hour reception and self-service facilities, which made check-in and daily routines smooth and hassle-free. Staff were polite and helpful when needed, though the hotel has a more self-service vibe rather than a luxury experience.
